I tend to agree she has grown a couple of inches over the years. If you compare her now to 1990 Celine she's definitely a lot taller now. Although 5'9" just seems really tall. She may very well be though the way she seems to tower over ppl in pix etc.

 

I do think she is busy doing stuff in between Vegas runs we just don't always know what. I think if not anything professional this time around it's due to Rene's cancer scare and maybe they just want to spend time together. Can't say I blame them. Besides they deserve some time off. I'm sure she'll be back to being busy soon enough. Who knows perhaps there was more to that golf getaway?

I think 5'9" is 1.75 m, so if Celine were in 4 inch heels she would be 6'1" = 1.85 m. If she were in a really high heel like 6 inches, she would be 6'3" = 1.91 m.

 

I'm not 100% certain if Annie actually said that Celine is 5'9". That is just what someone said on this forum before. They said that they asked Annie on twitter how tall Celine is and that Annie said Celine is 5'9" without heels.

 

If it's true I would go by what Annie says since she measures Celine all the time. I also think it's possible that maybe Celine use to be a couple inches shorter and possibly grew a couple of inches over the years through her spine alignment treatments.

 

I know Celine does, or has done yoga and she gets her spine aligned regularly, which can actually make you taller. There are actually certain yoga movements you can do that help lengthen your spine and make you taller and having your spine properly aligned also helps in growth and healthiness of joints.

 

Sure, Annie should be totally right. My feet/meters conversor should be completely crazy. I´m not used to inches/feet.... :giggle:

Yes, it's a possibilty. Either they've posted a fake information (but then why ?), or they just illustrated the thing with a previous recording session (but then it's weirdo ^^).

Imagine if there is a big announcement that Celine is going to do a concert in sometime in Brazil!!! Oh my word, I would be so sooo happy for you. I will be going crazy for your part. If that does happen one day, you must not miss that concert, not for anything.

yrah i agree w/ u on that, i can hear the crickets chirp too, & i can also see tumbleweeds blowing around lol, **the clint eastwood western theme is playing in my mind** lol... this forum is officially now more dead than a doornail lol... i was soooo afraid that this was going to happen after lmbtl failed the way it did, celines fans are slowly abandoning her... :( :(

 

 

so where are the hundreds & thousands of celine fans who used to be members of this forum???? what happened to those "14 girls" the ones who were mentioned on oprah winfreys show & a few of them even appeared on her show a few years back, are any of them still celine fans or did they abandoned her too like everyone else did???? where is that woman ramona, the one who used to go to so many of her shows, i found that she used to use this forum too... where are all of the celine fans from this forum, we need them back to bring some life in this forum!!!! :( :(

yeah it would be great if celine would also come to maryland where i live @ to do a concert, she has never performed in maryland & i still havent seen her in concert after 21 years of being a fan of hers... :( :( & yes i know i could see her in vegas & all, but its not easy for me to go to vegas because it would cost me alot of money to go, see im a full time working parent & going to vegas would be very difficult for me to do...

 

 

yea i hope that celine will do one more last world tour before she officially retires, but unfortunately i think celine is ready to throw in the towel & retire very soon... as we can see, she is less & less involved in her career these days & heaven forbid something happened to rene, then i think she will really retire then... plus i remembered she said in a few interviews last year that she didnt want to do anymore world tours @ all, thats why shes staying put in vegas these days until 2019... & if theres no changes in her vegas show coming soon, i dont see it lasting too much longer im afraid to say... in fact i wouldnt be surprised the way that she is going these days if she decided to cancel her contract w/ caesars w/in the next couple of years because her heart no longer seems to be really in performing now, especially w/ renes current health problems & all... :( :(

I really can't see this happening. Who ever said that she's not really into performing anymore? She stated herself that she's enjoyed the Antwerp/Paris mini-tour and has always adored singing live for her fans. Saying that she's not engaged in her career anymore is a complete lie. She just released a new English album, released a very successful French album two years ago, she's experimenting with new styles for her voice, performs throughout the year in Vegas, and will be releasing a new live album for a special one-night only event. The days of the endless fame of the 90's are long gone, having been in Vegas for the last decade and slowing down in releases, I can't deny that. But she's never said that she's not going to do anymore world tours, she just feels more grounded in Vegas, which is understandable for her, having Rene and the three kids. And there's no way that she'll just cut the contract for Vegas. She's milking it in Vegas and though we may not like that she's not traveling as much, she's making a profit there.

yea i think that u are right, peppercorn 1991, im starting to think the whole tweets about celine recording new songs are fake... 1. why would they use an 12 year old picture on their twitter page, that really screams liar to me... 2. two other people & i wrote back to them asking about the song & celine last week & still they havent responded back to any of us & i had just check my twitter page just now btw, no responses from them...

 

 

so im wondering as well if the whole thing is made up... im trying to find this record label on google, but so far i cant even find a website of theirs besides twitter... this looks very suspicious lol...

Calm down! The only one abandoning her would be people who call themselves fans during the peak of her career! It was just an observation I had because there is little happening in general. The end of the world is not coming!

are you sure, because i thought that celine said when she was asked about doing another world tour, she said no, unless it was something similar to what she in paris last fall, where she would do a few shows & thats it... but she didnt say yes on more tours where she traveled to several other countries & states that she has never visited yet in her entire career!!!! ok yes she has visited lots of places, but theres also many places that she still has never been in yet after all of these years!!!! so i was agreeing w/ jessyka & lu-georgia about them wishing that celine would do one more tour @ least before she eventually packs it in for good, because there are sooooo many fans who still havent seen her live yet, & jessyka, lu-georgia, & i would love to have that chance someday... heck in fact celine lives & performs in america & she still hasnt performed in every state in this country yet after 25 years, including maryland which is where i live @, or even in the district of washington dc which i live only 3 hours away from... so i know how jessyka, lu-georgia, & most likely many other fans are feeling right now... & going to las vegas is expensive for those of us who have families to feed, bills to pay, etc... so we just cant do it, its impossible for those of us...

 

 

& sorry to say, but after the lackluster sales & promotion of lmbtl the album, i say her heart isnt 100% isnt involved in things anymore, even compared to 2007 which wasnt really that long ago... now i dont blame celine 100% for the lackluster promotion of lmbtl, that sony had a big part in that... but celine didnt get involved in it & stood up for herself against sony, if i had my record label treating me like crap after 25 years of blood, sweat, & tears w/ them, i would be saying alot to them & standing up for myself... heck i have to do that w/ my own job as a vet assistant, even though i have been working w/ the same company for several years, i have to stand up for myself against my coworkers & clients every once in a while, or i will end up being walked all over on from them... & im afraid that sony is doing that to celine by them not even putting an effort in her albums these days & the saddest part is celine is letting them do it to her!!!! yes i know that things are different from the 90s, but i really think that celine & sony werent as much whole-heartedly involved w/ promo & stuff for lmbtl, because after only 6 months of release its like lmbtl had never existed except for us forum members... i mean look how dead this forum is, its been like this for months now... & lmbtl is the lowest selling album of her entire career according to numerous online sources & wikipedia... im not saying that celine doesnt care @ all, but she doesnt seem to care as much these days which is entirely different... same thing w/ not updating her vegas show that much after being there for over 3 years... again alot of it has to w/ sony & her team, but celine doesnt stand up for herself, she is letting it all happen to her... especially since it takes her several years to even release albums these days & who knows when we will get another album, if we do get another one that is, except for stupid re-releases of her previous greatest-hits albums, which to me does not count as a new album @ all!!!! hey you all dont have to agree w/ me, im just sharing my opinion... you can take it or leave it, but this is how i feel was a fan these days...

Yes! This was from the opening night of TCWT, and it was the only time she sang ABM completely live since 1999. She had obviously pre-recorded the playback along with the other songs in preparation for the tour (TC, Alone, EOM, TJTWIM), but I think they decided to see if she could do it live to begin with. It's actually stronger and more sustained than a lot of her 90s performances, it's a shame she didn't feel comfortable doing it live every night...

 

 

It's actually better than the 2009/2010 dubbed version that appeared on the TCWT DVD - if only they had used this genuine live vocal instead!!!

yea but you have to really admit that theres nearly not as many forum members on here anymore as there used to be years ago... in fact you should already know that since you have been a member here way longer than i have!!!! where are all of those members who havent posted on here in years???? where are those groups of girls who followed celine during her taking chances world tour & i have seen some of the videos on youtube & i remembered that a few girls were on oprahs show when she arranged for them to meet celine & all???? i looked through old posts on here from 4, 5, 6 years ago & most of those members who used to be very active on here havent made a post in years!!!! now there are only what, 10 or 20 people out of hundreds of forum members who are still left after all of these years... :( :( :( :(

 

 

i was agreeing with you about how depressing & empty this forum is, i never said that the world is ending or anything or anything remotely close to that... but i do have a deep feeling that celine is pretty close to ending her career in the near future, alot of other fans are already seeing it as well, & that this forum is pretty much going to be dead & empty like this for some time to come... because lets face it, besides the usf concert in quebec dvd coming out tomorrow, then the stupid re-release of her 15-year-old greatest-hits albums later this month, there are no other projects happening for a long, long time... yes she does have her current vegas show, but if theres no changes to that coming up, im afraid the show wont be lasting too much longer because she has barely updated it in over 3 years... & in fact im not the only one whose seeing this all unfold right now, you should see the stuff that many other fans on twitter & facebook are writing that are posting the same thing about celine & her career starting to slowly go downhill these days... :( :( :( :(

The sparkle continues... She was busy on this day also! :)

 

I get so distracted by the sparkle that it's hard to concentrate on what she's saying! (especially when she closed her eyes for a second at the end . .it was blinding sparkliness!). It's so nice, though, the way she supports people she's worked with like that.
