I've always wonder the meaning of the line in Think Twice

 

Baby I know it ain't easy when your soul cries

out for a higher ground

'Coz when you're halfway up, you're always

halfway down

 

What does it mean? I mean it mean like when you are on top you are in in disspear al well? What about "higher ground" in this context?

Sometimes the grass on the other side of the hill seems greener. And you may dream to get more from life. So your soul cries out for higher ground. Because if you have the feeling that your life is not completely there where you want iT to be (all the way up), you still feel that you're halfway down. Even when you have nothing to complain about.

To me, this is a glass half full/glass half empty thing. It's the pessimistic viewpoint: when you're halfway up, you're always halfway down = a glass half full is also a glass half empty. Anyone who sees the world that way would have a soul that was crying out for a better experience or "higher ground".

So I was out shopping with friends this afternoon. We were in a store when all of a sudden something familiar came on the radio. Then horror struck as I realised it was Overjoyed. Sigh...

I actually like Overjoyed. There I said it :) I actually like it better than "Always Be Your Girl."

So tonight she's back in Vegas and I wonder if she looks forward to tonight or gets nervous or just thinks another day at the office? Or does she think, 'I could use one more day of vacation!' Lol!

Anyone else agree.... A new authorised biography is overdue....

 

There is hardly anything after Rene Charles was born... For keeps was in 2004... 10 years ago....

 

What about the last decade. ..... a new day, the tour, the twins...European tour... 4 new albums ... Her success in the uk.... So much has happened.... When will she give a new biography?

 

This includes bi documentaries ..... where are they.... (3 boys and a new show doesn't count) The last was 7 years ago right in English?

 

Some reflections would be nice

No "Rolling in the Deep" has disappeared from the setlist last summer. It was replaced by "Loved me back to Life"...which is no longer performed as well !

Hey You all! Recently I was in Greece on KOS in Kos;) Beautiful place....anyway ... we made a trip to thermes ( sorry for my english... ) where you can take a bath in hot water and enjoy amazing view of rocky mountains and the see....when we came down do the sea level to thermes , where the road ends and you can't go any further, there is only one tavern and looks like the end of the world and guess what they were playing?? TTWIT! Now question- how popular Celine is now in Greece? I heard another song on the radio in Greece....
