Exactly. It's as if she'd made a public statement denying anorexia or eating disorders because public and media has been saying 24/7 all her life that she is too thin and she looks unhealthy (and the story keeps beating hard these days). Has she ever needed to make a public statement to refute this? No. Never ever gave a damn. Why now with such low gossip?

 

If only, she could address this on her next interview -like when she confirmed Pepe is gay, and period. Move on and give it the importance it has = bullshit.

 

I understand she'd like to put an end to those rumours with this statement but I'm afraid it will only serve the contrary: this move will only add fuel to the press to continue ellaborating their story.

Good observation. In light of this, and many other things written about her in the past, this is so out of proportion.

 

Most didn't know or care.

Now everyone does and more legitimate press is picking it up as a story.

They've only added credence to the rumor by doing this.

I find it super cool that it is made by her team, and we can find the old ones which make it clear and specific about what was said in the article. It s not even signed by Celine. I love it. This way of doing it is in my opinion very smart and appropriate. Her team made of old ones from the beginning mixed with the new generation looks so strong, they stand behind her. The energy is amazing.

 

And I think some people here are loosing their mind. If we maybe never saw official statement, the way René was handling the press and media was way more questionable. Calling the press for making presure trying to cancel an article or just for some jokes about Celine. It was known and that was something obviously reprehensible. I’m not bashing anyone. That was his way of doing and it was known.

 

If we can end this kind of behavior and go towards those insignificant statement especially done this way. I m in.

I think the only reason why they commented is that she is in Quebec right now and the news is in Le journal de Montreal and other Qc media so I find it normal she and team respond to that

did I say that it is blasphemy with Pepe? Do not put words in my mouth! I said that I did not liked Pepe, that is not the same thing. I hope that she will find love again with somebody her own age or younger.

 

I was hyperbolizing not putting words in your mouth. The way you stated it seemed like it was a blasphemy. You came off defensive over the fact that I had compared Pepe and Rene, but if you go back and read my post I said Rene was her partner in everything whereas Pepe works for her, in other words he isn't at the same level as him. One of the sources in the article was the one that said he had taken Rene's place if I remember well, not me.

But also to say that Celine would leave her friendship all because she has a new romantic relationship is odd. If she abandons her platonic relationships all for a new man well that would point to an unhealthy relationship imo.

 

I get it if some can't assimilate Celine becoming close with Pepe in what seems like a short time. It never hurts to be cautious about people's intentions, especially when it's about someone as famous as she is, but this complete dislike and almost hate for him when he hasn't done anything is extreme.

 

Maybe try looking at things from a different perspective. She's talked about how he helped her emotionally and was good for her mental health. She goes out to new places she had never been to before, he's showing her different things, we see her hanging out with groups of friends (I still consider myself a new fan but I don't think I've ever seen pics of her with friends in the past), he thanks her at the end of every tour run or fashion week, he's taken the time to see her Vegas show around 5 times when he doesn't have to, he follows Celine fan accounts. He has shown nothing but being a supportive friend to her.

René probably gave her a redacted version and told her why they shouldn't react. She just trusted his judgement (often rightfully so).

I know he had this grand romantic notion of him being her defender and protector, but in the end he did her a disservice.

She's basically never learned how to deal with negative press.

 

That said, I trust her intelligence and instincts enough to believe that she'll get there in the end.

But she will make wrong calls and this probably won't be the last of them.

I think Pepe was seriously considering to leave her team becuase he can no longer take the constant pressure of various rumors, hence this official statement. HER TEAM (not her) made a statement, people *in this thread* were constantly posting more and more links to articles picking it up and it spreading like wildfire. They made a statement about, wether its a tabloid allegation of not, an allegation of someone isolating and removing a celebrity from those who care about her / work with/for her, basically a form of manipulation and deceit. If so many of you in here dont care about all this, why are you so easily bothered by anything Pepe? If you dont like it, move on, ignore it. I think you do make a good point and this is something I have thought with the whole Pepe thing from the start.

 

I get that she doesn't have to answer to anyone, but then there's a part of me which thinks what was she expecting? Swanning about Paris with a good looking dancer on her arm, especially when they were known by the tabloids to be doing the Le Ballet dance? Really the rumours should have been nipped in the bud at the time and not left to fester. If Pepe was so affected by it all as she says he was, then surely for him if not for her. If it had been nipped in the bud two years ago, then stories like the one this week wouldn't be appearing now. There is something a little naive about it all.

Maybe just that. This guy has been accused of abusing Celine and her team. Not celine but her inner team took the mic to speak. In the simplest and classy way. still love the energy coming from the team. Love seeing those guys from different horizon standing behind her.
