I just learned that the only way Ticketmaster can do this is if the artist/management agrees, so there is a lot of greed going on right now. It’s a pretty dickish move.

But remember where she’s performing has also recently declared bankruptcy. So they’re literally milking all the money out of Celine that they can before she leaves. They’re gonna miss out on a lot when she’s no longer there.

It's just the presale that's sold out. General sale begins 10am PDT (1pm EST) on Friday.

So those higher prices wouldn't even benefit her would they?

The whole problem is that so many seats are platinum seats now. Those are 'dynamically priced according to demand'. Meaning insane prices.

i don't think she is responsible for those prices. And i'm sure every star is doing the same in Vegas, maybe for less money because Celine is better...

Totally missed this out. Well, that explains atlot!!!! No wonder they're gonna exploit their No. 1 crowd puller!

Although I'm simply to naive not being able to imagine how an organization in VEGAS can claim bankruptcy? 18 Million? Sounds like a "peanut" regarding to the amounts people leave there in their casions, hotel complex, @Céline's show et al.

When I heard she is having her final shows in June, I asked my boss to get two weeks off in June. But seeing these overrated prices, I will change my plan, and go to Spain for a walking trip (part of the Santiago del Compostela) with Céline on my headphones. Or maybe two weeks traveling in Québec province.

 

I’m not a medical specialist yet! I can’t afford these prices ànd a plane ticket, ànd a hotel in LV. If I did, I should be living on water and bread from now on, and beg in Vegas at restaurants for left overs... (and even I was a medical specialist, I’d Think Twice to get there.)

I have to agree regarding the ticket prices.

 

She is a legend and thee voice in my opinion who can really put on a show and is so incredibly kind and grounded.

 

But...

 

Unless this is the very last run of shows she will ever do, then these prices are an insult to her true fans.

I know most big artist prices have increased over the years, but this price hike is just ludicrous!!

Most fans can not afford these, some can, others may get into debt over them and others are just saying no chance.

 

It’s Vegas and lots of people who go there have a lot of money so it’s still gonna sell out regardless.

 

You could understand if it was an incredibly expensive impressive show, but by Vegas standards this show ain’t.

Seems a bit greedy and less about the fans if I’m honest.

 

I’m so glad I went to a new day when front row was cheap.

The prices are nonsense. Like many others, with “A New Day...” I sat right at the front several times but with “Celine” I have only been down there once. The other times I was happy enough in rear orchestra or in mezzanine. As much as I love Celine I need to get value for money too!

 

Quite honestly though, the whole of Las Vegas has gotten SO expensive. That’s certainly my observations since starting to go there in 2004. Ok, yes, you can still find those ultra cheap rooms etc but everything has gone up from food to car parking and dare I mention the dreaded resort fee?! I don’t even think you get “free” drinks whilst gambling anymooooore.

 

Hopefully her next residency is in a cheap city.

Well well, already threw away 1000$ worth of trip to Vegas in 2016 for nothing... cause she canceled the show :/

 

Will i pay these ridiculous seats price and travel again to Vegas to maybe see her? Unfortunately not.

Oh I want to take that trip in Spain, not the whole road, just the Spanish part of it. I'm not a big walker so maybe on a bike, even though it won't be the same

 

I spent $2500 in March for nothing on a trip to Las Vegas ONLY to see Céline and that was only for flight + hotel. No way I can afford a trip in June again and for those ticket prices.

 

I'd love to see the final show in Vegas but that's just too expensive for her Las Vegas show. Even for a concert but I would consider it if it was a concert, but never for Las Vegas

The prices are that bloody high I think for one of the below reasons lol.

 

They are trying to claw back expenses from the cancelled shows this year.

 

They are still trying to pay off that big bloody led screen from AND.

 

Or they are just bloody greedy!

I told this, this Vegas jail of gold went to their heads a loooong time ago, and that explains part of my antagonism against Vegas

 

They offered way less with this second show and YET they dare to charge up to 4 times more per ticket than what A New Day cost, with way less people on the stage and a ridiculously way more SIMPLE production :innocent:

 

i agree, the tour setup looks way more exciting with the stage, lights and screens
