Javito Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:26 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:26 PM Yes, but they still upped the prices.... and they've now made all the front rows either 'vip packages' or 'platinum seats'.They're a total rip-off. And NOT even talking about the "service fee"!! If you buy a $ 850 ticket, the service fee is $ 125,80 !! Not including tax, the 'order processing' fee and delivery/will call. All those added gives you a ticket price of $1.057,05.... for ONE ticket! And that's to see a show as static as it can be, with only an orchestra playing behind and where the greatest "special effect" is the water curtain. Ludicrous. 4 Quote "Hush, now... drove all night Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:28 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:28 PM (edited) when I was able to check the 3rd row tickets were a little over $2,000, I didn't check front row but I would guess they are close to $3,000. I clicked on like a 10th row ticket and even that was at around $1,000. WTF!!!!!!!!!! (Sorry!) Are they NUTS????!!!! This is really ridiclious! By all love to her! And surely ... she doesn't make these prices! But how this whole thing is developing it's very hard for me to stay the loyal fan I always thought I was. But maybe I read too many negative comments, "here, there, and everywhere" .... but with this marketing it's really hard to stay cool! Yesterday the announcement, today these partly worrying words by Scott Price which let's the future sound more vague than yesterday, now these ridiclious high prices hardly no ordinary fan can never ever afford as the cost for travelling aren't included. HEY CÉLINE! WHAT'S UP?!!! Everything alright in your ivory tower? Sorry .... never ever thought I would think or write something like that!!! (And it nearly eats me up inside, feeling this way!!!!) Prices were regular for the rest of the theatre. well. regular is relative i guess. a decade ago a front row seat was $250... DionFanAlways Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:53 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:53 PM (edited) scared why? nowhere does it say she's leaving show business all together just performing leaving her residency. But, as I have been saying it is a bit sad for me because that stage was built FOR her and to not have her perform on it anymore is very bittersweet. And it's going to be tough as fans to not see videos of her on stage weekly/daily, we got used to that. But no reason to be scared because this isn't the end of her career. by the way, prices for her final show are insanely expensive. Even the mezzanine prices. And they are already sold out, when they open to the public I think the rest of the tickets will sell out just as fast No I'm not afraid that she's retiring I'm just very sad she's leaving Vegas. I felt the same about when she left with AND but this one seems permanent to me. (Not retiring but not returning) I am very selfish and very spoiled when it comes to seeing Celine. Sometimes I just go for a show and fly back the next day. I have seen her since the beginning. It'll just be another dry spell for me. Yes these prices are insanely ridiculous!!! Xpresso Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:54 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:54 PM Céline doesn't need that kind of marketing game to sell tickets. This time it's different. Back in 2007, René was already hinting they might do another LV show after A New Day... but this time, nothing. 2 Quote
Dion2000 Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:54 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:54 PM Yeah. Ive noticed every show was normal, but the last show the floor seats are all upward of $900, but the rest of the sections seem to be normal price, albeit maybe adding $50-75 but then again they always do this with final shows, I remember when i was booking tickets for Mariahs last two shows of #1 to Infinity for my aunt, i noticed the regular prices were for front row around $680 with tax etc. But last show was over $1,400 with tax and they had added a “celebratory charge” Quote
Xpresso Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:55 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 08:55 PM (edited) If Céline does build a new house in Vegas, she should also build a theater in the backyard. Edited September 25, 2018 at 08:56 PM by Xpresso Quote
Nmj Posted September 25, 2018 at 09:08 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 09:08 PM Céline doesn't need that kind of marketing game to sell tickets. This time it's different. Back in 2007, René was already hinting they might do another LV show after A New Day... but this time, nothing. I have no doubt she’ll one day be back again in Vegas. But I get your point, after AND ended it wouldn’t surprise me if Rene told Caesars there and then that Céline would come back in a few years, no contract but gave his word. Now I think unless Céline is approached, she won’t return. Only thing is we all know they WILL approach her again, just a matter of when. Quote
Del Posted September 25, 2018 at 09:27 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 09:27 PM This line scares me and makes me sad at the same time... Yes the wording does make it seem final and that she will not be returning. That said marketing will always be cleaver with wording to ensure the they get the most bang for their money. So they know if it's positioned as the final shows it will sell sell sell (money, money money). I mean all these outlets saying it's the end and those thinking she's retiring will rush to get tickets so we're not going to know furture plans right away (other than the album) I personally think this news is positive. The 2nd residency went on for too long and now it's time to look at the future for new projects and adventures and most importantly, some time off 4 Quote Instagram: @delphis78

I told this, this Vegas jail of gold went to their heads a loooong time ago, and that explains part of my antagonism against Vegas They offered way less with this second show and YET they dare to charge up to 4 times more per ticket than what A New Day cost, with way less people on the stage and a ridiculously way more SIMPLE production :innocent: 2 Quote "Hush, now... CSCfan Posted September 25, 2018 at 09:48 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 09:48 PM (edited) Céline doesn't need that kind of marketing game to sell tickets. This time it's different. Back in 2007, René was already hinting they might do another LV show after A New Day... but this time, nothing. Every artist does, one way or the other. These are also different times, unfortunately. And what all those companies only care about these days is $$$$ and if they can get more, but using these games, they will.I have a feeling a promo round will come up with the emphasis on these "last" shows, people will buy buy buy, and then next year there will be a tour announcement and people will also go because Céline will be seeing them [us].... It's just the way the industry works these days.. Yes the wording does make it seem final and that she will not be returning. That said marketing will always be cleaver with wording to ensure the they get the most bang for their money. Shania('s team) did the same by announcing the 2015 'Rock This Country' tour as her last tour ever and then what happened......And I'm not even talking about Cher and other artists. She'll be back. maki_Dion-er Posted September 25, 2018 at 09:58 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 09:58 PM coming back to a residency but in NYC would be interesting. At least it'd be a change of scenery (not to mention closer for me lol). We have several months to go before the end of this residency, I'm sure we will slowly start getting a picture of what future plans are. The most immediate and sure thing is the new album, interviews and a possible tour to promote it. 1 Quote
Shamrock_1982 Posted September 25, 2018 at 10:12 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 10:12 PM (edited) I’d like the idea of maybe a 2 week residency in a big city in different countries maybe 4/5 countries a year maybe June - August and she has the rest of the year to both have family time and do other projects. 2 weeks at the o2 in London 2 weeks at the new caesars palace in Dubai2 weeks at the colosseum in Rome 2 weeks in Madrid/Barcelona 2 weeks in Paris And change the locations the following year to the U.S, Canada, South America, etc. Then she has time to maybe do a movie, work more on her own range, attend fashion events, and record. Although I do think at the same time that after next year she should take a year and a half out though. Edited September 25, 2018 at 10:14 PM by Shamrock_1982 Quote

DionFanAlways Posted September 25, 2018 at 10:46 PM Posted September 25, 2018 at 10:46 PM Here's my thoughts on the ticket prices, if anyone cares but they jacked up the prices when she came back from her year off to 500 FORCH and people paid so they know people will pay for this also.
