Im not quite sure about the intro. I don’t think it’s necessary. Better start the show like in 2017. Kind of funny to hear a „happy“ intro and right after a serious power ballad

Definately the horns/rhythm section.... they really give the song a nice "oomph" (especially at the end)

She sounds so rich and mellow at the start of TPOL before playback and that was an amazing performance of Ashes. She seems to tire easily though and her vice becomes thin and nasal and she reverts to all the highs and thin notes towards the end of the show. I hope she gets some good rest and soothes the voice but keeps it fluid before the tour. We expect so much from her...but I just love to hear her at her best.

Just listened to the second shows bootleg.

 

The Reason sounded much better than the first night. Very strong vocal. Less struggle on the closed syllable upper belts. I think she enjoys performing this one. Good. Keep it around because I think many enjoy watching her slay it. This has always been a favorite of mine ever since I became a fan. I remember I never thought she would sing it again. Then she did with a new playback, which I thought was nice simply to have an updated version...but now to genuinely hear her knocking it out slaying it for the second year in a row at 50 I'm thrilled to death. She could sing whatever she wants to if she wants to!

 

Unison - the belts were so much better on the second show. Arrangement is slowly growing on me but this song still would shine in its original. Either way, I'm just glad to hear it at all so I'm not complaining. Sounds better second night for sure.

 

I am sure there are still surprises to remain. A different cover set or final medley I'm sure? I hope SOMETHING off LMBTL is represented, preferrably something besides Incredible/At17/Overjoyed/WAAF/LMBTL(unless original key).

 

I also hope that team takes into account these two audiences were great examples of a random audience which is useful to survey reactions. Anyone there knew they would be there before Celine sang rare songs (most likely). I hope they see that the response from the crowd at ALL points of the show seemed to be more lively and interested...

This dance really doesn't have the same impact as Le Ballet. I mean it's not terrible, but it doesn't really add much to the song. It's just a bit bland.

 

I suppose it 's an excuse to invite Pepe on tour, if he's part of her team he needs something more than picking her outfits to do.

Le Ballet will never be performed in America. It's way too suggestive and scandalous for an American audience. Heads would roll and there would be mad hysteria.

While I’m not a huge fan of “My Precious One,” it would be nice to see the “Miracle” album represented again...and NOT via TFTEISYF, WAWW, or IIC. Personally, I’ve always wanted to hear “Come To Me” and “Sleep Tight” performed live.

The medley as it stands now ANDHC, TTWII and IA need to go. I've never understood how you can take uptempo songs and water them down so much that they become sleepy. She's always wanting the audience to get up and join in but with the way the medley is now they are glued to their seats.

I love the Miracle album, that's the single only differing opinion I have from your post, however, what I do completely, totally agree with is that I would love to hear Come to Me or Sleep Tight done live. If I Could had its day, the first time ever I saw your face had its moment as well, but would love either of the two songs you mentioned to get done. I am for as many of her albums as possible to be represented. I was also coming on here to comment that after listening to the fabulous recording from last night that made me feel like I was back in the Colosseum once again, I feel now that That's The Way It is was at a great speed last night. Any faster and it would lose something. Also, what's with the long, Le Ballet-esque intro to It's All Coming Back To Me Now? It doesn't AT ALL need it. That's not one of the songs that the orchestra needs to build suspense around, in my opinion.

I'm sorry, NO. Eyes On Me is waaaaaay too fast for an acoustic medley. I can't stand Ten Days but it would fit an acoustic medley well. Also, YESSSSSSSSSSS! In Some Small Way would be amazing if she brought that back. Perfect song to represent Miracle with! I like the acoustic medley now as it is. Those are good songs to do for it. The only thing they need to do is speed up the songs a bit. She does always say she wants the audience to join in, but the guitarists don't play IA and TTWII fast enough for people to dance or even clap along to. Also yes, must add from a previous post that it is sooooooooooooo time for BATB to take a break! I miss HDAMLF. I so wish she'd done it the nights I was there but it would be nice if she'd do it live again this year. If not, do keep Ashes, and I think she will! and I like how BATB leads to Ashes! Perfect. Funny how she teases how loooong ago BATB was and that many of us weren't born yet. When she said that Wednesday night, I yelled out, I WAS!!!!!!!! not sure if she heard me, but I did!

I'm sorry but Céline doesn't even rehearse her live songs and we have many examples of that... that's why I am a bit surprised about it.

 

If she wanted to rehearse a playback , just put the cd in your bedroom and practice in from of your mirror :-)

 

 

 

The hate towards "At 17" seems to be quite universal on this board. But this song is not a filler at all. It's one of the most meaningful and daring song (as there's no repetitive chorus) she has ever recorded.

 

Probably there's none but if any concept was linked to this medley , Unison would be the filler. ANDHC and At 17 are personal songs and talk about life struggles. Unison is just a random song, lyrically.

 

We even read that At 17 should be kicked out as it's a cover... as a reminder : Unison is as well.

 

The fact is At 17 is already the most adventurous song she has done : how many versions do we have? the guitar version, the bossa nova one , the quartet one, the one from the Grammy.

 

This song is despised because it's not mainstream , not because it's a filler.

It sounds different and random like javi said. Like they just took this intro from the soundtrack of a chinese kung fu 90’s movie or from the game called “Grand Theft Auto”
