I'm not sure probably Celine herself lol.

 

But i truly believe Pepe is helping to style Celine now, ever since he came in the picture as her "creative director " or whatever bogus title they gave him notice Law was less and less in the picture as her stylist. I think Pepe is also very into fashion...

 

Whoever choose these outfits tho please insert contact lenses before doing that job next time, or maybe they need a pair of Annie Horths big glasses. But terrible choice! I get it, if Celine is happy then great but come on she has a imagine to keep. Whatever she wears on her days off the stage is fine but onstage she needs pro advice lol

Celine is like that, sometimes it is great and other times.... She is making the decisions, good or bad. The suits in the beginning of A new Day were mostly bad, and Annie came back with good things for the end and the Taking chances tour. More elegant and feminine. Law brings good things , like the dress for the video of Ashes, but the make-up was not good to my opinion, too much of it. And other times ,Law proposed bad things also, even if in the end , Celine takes the decision. Annie is more safe in the choices, some would say too conservative. She was not bringing Celine in the spotlight of the fashion industry. Law does that. But Annie was working for Celine exclusively, not Law . I prefer Annie stuff over Law, i'm more conservative. But maybe he is better for her, i don't know, i'm not an expert.

 

Maybe Celine was doing some test with the outfits. Hope for the best for the tour.

From the beginning Law has been envolved in everything except Tour direction. It looks like she likes to keep this part to herself. Pepe or not.

It's a new playback. I think the beginning is live however. I was able to compare both shows on the 8th and 9th.

 

 

I watched both live streams on the 8th and 9th. Its not a new playback at all. The 8th she was very raspy on the “we’ll finddddd a wayyyyy” but she sustained it, where as on the 9th she was raspy but no where near as bad as the night before it. The video floating around on YouTube is not the 9th is just a rebrand of the performance from the 8th.

 

 

The only pre recorded bit is the final 2 long notes which were identical both nights. Apart from that it sounded completely live to me. The E5 note and following run were different

That's what I adore about her - like it or love it, Celine is having FUN! Nobody is FORCING her to put on this or that. I'm sure she gets final say and she enjoys trying new and different things. She's got bold taste sometimes and I love that she just goes for it. Life is too short to worry about what everyone else is thinking. High end couture fashion can be really weird and if she likes the stuff she wore Friday and Saturday night, so be it. Some outfits would not have been my first choice, but I'm not Celine Dion. I don't think anything was THAT horrible.

Honestly I don't really care what she wears, it has never worried me. It concerns me much more what she sings. I always say this, but Céline is not a model, she's a singer first and foremost. The fashion thing has went a bit to her head during the past tours and it's getting out of control is she's more focused in choosing what she wears rather than what she sings And still this setlist is nothing surprising, but for FIY (and it's not like it's a song she has never performed before).

 

I really hope they still have some surprises in the bag for the tour, and that those surprises are songs coming from her own repertoire and NOT more random At Seventeens and recycled songs from the past.

The Choir robe is a mystery to me and I would switch out the beige stuff and fix her hair, but it is not up to me. She gives a good show and it is probably better live and in person. It is hard to watch these recordings....her voice is still having significant difficulties. I pray her ear problems heal soon. She needs to be free to evolve in the way she sings, but it might be wise to lower some of the songs so the beautiful high notes are not so difficult to reach (or sound like it anyway). I love Celine and her personality. She is brave and lovely. I don't have to like everything she wears (and I don't) but if it makes her happy....it's her life!!

The FIY dance... That's correct, not much happens but I'm sure it's for a reason! After you have an ear surgery, the last thing you want to do is head stands or stunts like she did on Le Ballet. I thought it was obvious...

 

Yes I suppose after her surgery this year and back problems last year she wasn't likely to be doing the lifts etc that she did in the Le Ballet dance. I think the point I and some others have made is therefore why bother with a dance at all. If it's not that good and adds little to the performance of the song, it would probably be better if she just sang it and ditched the dance.

 

Obviously they know the dance and Pepe were popular last year and so I guess it has been added for that reason, but without the element of surprise and without the lifts it is just a poor sequel.

Nobody is saying that she cant wear what she likes, she can and she will. But it's worth noting people think she needs help to pick stage outfits because her look so far as as a whole for the last two shoes are nothing short of terrible. I wouldn't call the green and pink dress or the the black one terrible, even so they aren't really great.
