Oh no version will ever top June 13th, 2012. This is the best Overjoyed has ever sounded. Scroll to 7:10... :giggle: It's as if the Vegas gods knew I was attenting that show. haha

That's a bunch of B.S. Trust me there are bad seats in da house cuz I've sat on them. So far up in the nose bleeds you feel totally disconnected from the show. :wtf:

Visually there are no bad seats, but I agree with you about feeling detached from the show in the balcony. I must prefer front Orchestra as you're right in the middle of it. Edited by Del

That assuming "At Seventeen" can represent the LMBTL album at all, since the song was originally performed in her 2011 version of the Vegas show, and then was included by force in the studio album :rolleyes:

 

I just don't get why returning back in time with a song she had already included in the 2011 show, and then it was removed from the setlist years ago. It had its time already! :doh:

 

(Not to mention that the best and original version of the song was in the 2008 Grammy Nominations event, 10 frigging years ago! :whistling: )

 

You're completely right!

 

I loved when she sang at17 on the Grammys, she hit that performance out of the park. But for some reason Celine thought she can repeat that magic nightly, and that isn't the case. She should have a good performance alone and kept it a beautifully done one-time performances for all of us to look back on and remember as a "moment" in her career.

Ahhh apparently they bring back this music interlude.... i just love it. So dramatic with the lighting and suddenly piano for IACBTMN appears. It reminds me with the motor accident and the ghost.....

Wow!! See that's how they should take advantage of the amazing things they can do in the colosseum, it really has state of the art capabilities! That light show before IACBTMN is BEAUTIFUL and yeah it pumps up the audience and gets them ready, rather than typically in the show how it goes song to song.

I don't think it's live, still think its lipped.

 

I think it's lipped too but that's another take for sure. Big notes are different than usual.

 

Otherwise, we are so used that they use the same arrangement /melody than the cd that once she does something totally different like At 17 , ppl are shocked and lost. lol

From all of the bad comments I've read I was expecting something horrifying here. This is a very broken down and different version, yes, but it's BEAUTIFUL and I think her vocals are spot on. I'm a sucker for strings...I love the simplicity of it all. I think Celine loves the song and that's why she chose it. :wub: I know I risk getting attacked, but two thumbs up from me. :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2:

not a lot of people are in love with dissonnance i guess. it is dissonant as a choice, and i find it interesting. Not a lot of singers could do that. :)

And if some playback has to be supposed , maybe it is not playback , but it has to be , it is not a problem . To love you more was live,the first night, but if the lipping experts say it isn't , well , who am i to judge.

For her next tour, I want her to open with “It’s All Coming Back”... the intro could be very haunting, maybe with some thunder here and there (like the song’s intro during the FIY tour. Would be so epic!!

Celine deserves dramatic pumped up intro's.

Thats right! FIY isn't a really difficult song to sing, let pepe dance behind her alone and let her sing it live instead of lipping it, she could easily do if she wasn't dancing in that ugly parachute thing she wears lol.

actually I can noticed when she lipsync and when she live, but I don't over analyze it and enjoy the show. I think most of fans noticed that too. I do mind when she lipsync, But as long as she's not lipsync half of the show I wouldn't complain.

Does anyone who attended actually know about how many people from the orchestra are being used during the last two shows?

 

Reason I ask is; if everyone who is usually used for a typical Vegas show is still used then I think we have a good chance of this show still being performed when she returns to Vegas in October. I just can't see Celine doing it if cuts anyones job from the orchestra. :hmm:

Celine always sings behind the playback track i think in case something goes wrong... it seems the playback started a bit late and it was her singing at first then it kicked in as normal.

If it is true she is always singing anyway they should take that opportunity to mix the vocals a little differently.

To me TLYM seems live.

It's a new playback. I think the beginning is live however. I was able to compare both shows on the 8th and 9th.
