Sorry to say this, but this performance of At 17 is really cringe-worthy. She's off-key most of the time. And her phrasing and improvisation do not help at all? Is she still having a hard time hearing herself?

It doesnt suit the violins at all...... Celine looks so confuse with the tempo...

Agreed that A17 is terrible. Needs some kind of percussion(which she’s not going to get with the quartet) and for most of it sounded like she was singing something else. Edited by stevo

The acoustic is not in sync with her singing... it’s like different melody with different singing...

FIY is one of my top 5. I truly love that song. Y'all don't even know how happy I am that she included it. I don't care about the playback issue. I am also glad Pepe is there.

 

What I don't like is the outfit, no matter how "fashion savvy" it is. It is awful! Like I said it does absolutely nothing for her and as someone else said, Javito possibly, it does not fit the song.

 

My husband watches the Star Trek series and all I think about is the character Whoopi plays. :wacko:

What’s the final year in Vegas? 2019?2020?2021?

I hope 2021/2022 it’s A new show. I would like to come back to Vegas in 2021 or 2022 to see Celine. I go to Vegas in march for the First Time but show canceled..

Couldn’t agree more!! With that dance she needs a dress with flow and movement in it!

I get she probably needs to cover up for certain areas but there are a million other better options than this!

I'm sorry but FIY is still not performed on stage.

It's quite obvious that pre recorded vocals are rushed and done without any direction and producer to make them sound live.

 

What?! Prerecorded live vocals here too??? I’m not an expert on lipsynch/playback issues, but if that’s the case, then the disappointment is even stronger.

 

How come can they use a false live and can’t come with some decent and polished prerecorded vocals? It doesn’t make sense.

Philippe Dunnigan is already back in Montreal...

 

Perhaps they’re having a week or so off before the final rehearsals and tour starts

OMG now i HATE HATE HATE Sony and her team !!! I want the dvd from the 2016-2017 and 2018 shows. This is her best setlist ever and all we have is the same old dvd from the past... thats really sad!

I think there's no song that fits the acoustic medley better than At Seventeen! Plus it's an awesome arrangement.

 

Agree with the above though - Breakaway would make for a solid addition.

From all of the bad comments I've read I was expecting something horrifying here. This is a very broken down and different version, yes, but it's BEAUTIFUL and I think her vocals are spot on. I'm a sucker for strings...I love the simplicity of it all. I think Celine loves the song and that's why she chose it. :wub: I know I risk getting attacked, but two thumbs up from me. :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2:

I think they intentionally do unpolished playback to make it sound live and realistic with her movement. If it too perfect, people will notice how can she sing perfect with that movement. But the expert still can notice it hahaha
