i do not think they will because it actually should have been a surprise for the Asian tour. Vegas and tour usually do differ quite a lot

Come on Celine let someone help you, even bring back Annie Horth for the stage if you can’t manage and don’t want to ask Law, wonder why she doesn’t consult Law for her shows anymore but rather just big appearances.. could the queen Be trying to save money..?

I agree. Still missing "Then You Look At Me" or "Only One Road" but great songs added. And why not "Je Sais Pas"? In the 1990's she said it was her favorite song.

 

As for the clothes... I like the gold and the black. The others are very strange. Don't like it. And the shoes are not pretty, sorry.

Maybe by doing this tour practice in LV it’ll give her a bit of confidence to change the Vegas show a bit. Because of the audience reaction to these changes you know?

I wonder what the rest of the concert will be like. Surely this trial run in Vegas can't be the whole setlist.

I feel the same. Testing what works and what doesn't but I feel the elements of surprise are being kept secret for now. looking forward to read about the opening night in Asia.

But also what they may feel doesn’t work in these two Vegas shows may totally work on tour. Vegas audience vs. audience that haven’t seen her in 10, 15, 20 years. Or ever!

Wow!! Definitely is 100% live, I wonder what made her give it a go this night. I’d say it’s actually better to start with a big powerful vocal to warm up her voice, think she should go for this more often. It’s way better than the playback, not perfect but way more power and emotion.

I don't think it's live, still think its lipped.

 

Doesn’t sound like the same playback version and she’s pulling the mic away to create an echo instead of holding the notes as they should be held, a technique she seems to have adopted over the last couple of years. I noticed she did this a lot during last years tour.

That whiniess of what you say, is her voice. I think calling it whinny is excessive.

Me too. Also explains the huge post tour gap. Obviously for album promo but it wouldn't surprise if she changed the Vegas acoustic medley and kept TT and TR

I would LOVE it if after the Summer tour, she devoted some real time to revamping the Vegas show. Don't get me wrong, I loved it when I went to it three and four days ago. And, I would also severely love it if she got rid of some songs and brought some old or never-before done songs in. I was soooooo amazed to hear Unison done. I remember during the 2015 premiere how the band/backup singers kinda teased us with it and we thought she would do it. Well, as we all know, she didn't then, but, well, I gotta, sorry, but it's all coming back to us now. "laugh: I would also love to see Think Twice and or The Reason put back in. I know the Reason got a good long run during the 2011/2012 part of the show, and I do get that it's vocally difficult, but I'd still love to see it done. Also, about At Seventeen, I skip it when I listen to LMBTL and was never a fan of it live so I too am kinda disappointed we have it again. If, and I doubt it was but who knows, if it was a big hit where she's touring this Summer, I can forgive/allow it, and I could be wrong but I just don't think it was/is.

Definitely!! I used to think she was one of best at lipping I had ever seen but over the years it’s all become way too exaggerated and like you say she doesn’t move her arms around as much or at least with the same elegance or controlled armography (learnt this expression watching Strictly Come Dancing haha) as she does when she’s lipping. It’s almost like she can’t concentrate on both.

 

When she’s singing live she shows a lot of teeth and the quivering lip is virtually non existent.

Anyway just catching up on the videos and I do think it was good to use these last two shows as trial runs, hopefully the start of the tour will be more polished this way. My only negative is the fact that we’ve probably got no surprises left now for the opening night of the tour, unless there will be extra songs added to the setlist. I hope for another decent never before performed cover instead of the Prince medley cos covers always get a crowd going during a concert, whether we like to admit it or not, it is a fact and Celine knows this. I also hope for maybe one or two more hits or new songs to be premiered if anything is actually at that finished stage yet.

 

Just watched FIY and thought it was definitely lipped but at the end she speaks into the headset mic, so it’s switched on, whereas last year after Le Ballet I thought it was a dead giveaway how she took the headset off straight away and grabbed her actual mic before speaking to thank Pepe so who knows. This one certainly isn’t a difficult routine, they’re basically just making nice shapes around each other haha.
