Céline Releasing Studio Version of "The Show Must Go On" featuring Lindsey Stirling

So it's official, it's going the version which will be played this weekend, and it's going to be a lipsynch performance...I am going to die...

"Get the "Show must go on" by Celine Dion, sung like this at BBMAs...."

So it was recorded in a studio, and produced by Humberto Gatica, so Céline approves it...and I am afraid about this theory.

How exactly do you know it was produced by Humberto Gatica, that Celine recorded brand new vocals, or that it's going to be lipsynched?....and whatever this is of course it was approved by Céline from the get go

Could it be ........ We are so used to the Vegas version (which most people have never heard) that we think celines version is terrible?

If this had come out after the TCWT would the reaction have been the same?

Yes! The Vegas version is amazing but after just listening to the Queen version it's very very similar .... I fact celine sounds more amazing on certain parts ..

I agree. Sunday's performance will be miles better than the studio. Celine's voice is in way better shape today than when this was recorded.

This is exactly what I have been saying/thinking. You had a better way of putting it so thank you!

Also, I can't help but think if she had released the Beethoven version the Queen fan base would have ATTACKED the crap out of her.

Probably would have called her pompous etc. I still remember people saying (Joe Public, not on here) things like that when the TTEOTW dvd came out. All because of the way she's standing with her arms out etc.

And yes, this version reminded me of the Queen original. Was hoping for more guitar to be featured, but obviously the violin is meant to stand out. Also that scream (oother than the original) reminded me of the scream she did in TJTWIM but higher. Same force and emotion.

The producer didn't want his name on that single so we will never know! :-D

Like a good murderer who doesn't leave traces in the crime scene. :giggle:

I'm surprised by all the negative reactions. Another example of how fans want more and more from Celine, and then when she does release something, they are disappointed or unhappy.

Yes. Fans want Celine to actually be in the studio to record a song. Crazy expectations!

A question, i see the single could be purchased at itune, apple and spotify. Is it correct that songs that i purchase from itunes could only be played on apple devices? Because I am using an android phone, and i want it to be in my phone music library.

By the way, how did we come to the conclusion that celine did not go into a studio to record this song? I couldn't find any live performances from the past that sounds like this one though. Just curious.

What other artist can pass off a live vocal as a studio track?

Just shows how amazing her voice is!!

Another comment from youtube:

Bertrand Pradalier

I like it. I like the voice - her raspy and raw voice, her earthiness, like on LMBTL album - it's her current voice. The 90s clarity is gone. And that's ok. Actually this rocky and soulful voice fits the song perfectly. I do not know if the scream at 2.45 is due to production or real but this is just what needs to be there: utterly rage. When I close my eyes, I hear a rock star. I like the arrangements. The slow pace (like a rock lullaby saying my heart is bleeding but that's ok), the violin is like a conversation (it's a 80s rock song and this goes well along. It is sooooo good). The sadness and melancholia in the intro and outro are exactly what needs to be at this time of her life. Conclusion: brava

He posted the same comment here. I would argue that a voice that is autotuned to death can't be soulful but oh well... each to his own.

Someone got lost in translation and think that Lindsey confirm about this TSMGO mess. Or am I the one who missed something ?

It seems the song is more about promoting this Lindsey person than show-casing her own talent and vocals. This whole thing is beyond absurd.

I'm loving everything about this! The timing, the song choice, the promo...

Even if I'm not mad about this version I still think it's OK and that most people will love it.

So let's go out there and spread the word!

Apparently people are responding to those articles and buying the song on iTunes more than they did when LMBTL came out!

That's just because of her recent loss (Rene) and trending right now, not because the production is any good.

Officially bye to Beethoven version ok

BUT! I just hope they give us the amazing loooong ending note like the vegas version....

I need a dramatic ending and an epic Celine pose at the end.

Not this poor and weak end
