Why don't they release a proper Beethoven Version from Vegas with a Video of the life performance. First,it would cost them nothing, second, it would be epic!

 

And don't include Lindsey Stirling. Include Scott Price and the Vegas Orchester to impress everyone with the dramatic amazing Vegas Version.

How come they release a song in which Celine's voice BREAKS when she hits the highs? Not to mention that awful production... The demo for Unfinished Songs sounds much better....

 

We can only pray that she does the Vegas version this Sunday at the BBMAs...

after a couple hours sleepings, The song needed a god hand to work, Who produced it ?

^ 100% AGREE.

 

I hope Céline doesn't see this thread and how critical the FANS are being.

 

Right now, she needs support, she doesn't need FANS (many of whom do not have music industry experience) to be tweeting her (very successful and experienced) manager, telling him how to do his job because they don't like one song.

 

I, for one, like this recording and although I started this thread, won't be reading it anymore because of all of the negativity.

 

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but this thread has turned to venom and it looks more like something you'd see on a "I hate Céline" forum.

 

Don't worry, I wont let her because team's bad choice

 

anyway the vevo version, sounds a little better, let's put a little bit of love

 

we all know that she will steal the night next Sunday, and people will say, she is better live than in studio :wub:

Apart from the screech it is better. Yes. And i think it could sound great this sunday. I think the orchestra will be there with the violinplayer having a keyrole. I cannot imagine they use a backingtrack for the strings. So the orchestra is probably also on stage. I hope..

Most famous movies have glitches that we only find afterwards. Like a modern watch in gladiator or a hand showing up behind a dino in jurassic park. This screech is also a mistake. Big mistake unfortunately. I think, when listening it cannot be missed ? I think he rendered the wrong take ( celine sang mutiple takes and adlibs and he then takes the parts from all those takes and bounces these into a mastertake) and had to rush the production because it was a last minute call. That is when mistakes like these happen.

I think it's a result of clumsy violinist and her bow :P

 

When I woke up today I was hoping this was some sort of mistake, like first version of live LMBTL video, almost sure the same person behind these two releases :doh:

The violinist cannot help it. She just send her part and it was imported in the project. But that screech ruins it.

I think celine does not know about the screech. She would take the single down and make sure on youtube etc the song will be replaced

I'm also sure she will do fine :innocent: and I believe they will use vegas version, don't know why some people suppose that it will be based on studio version, I think she doesn't even know it exists..

Okay i just played the song in my livingroom with my good speakers on my soundsystem: way way better! On my phone and ipad it sounds muffled. Not so much here! The strings and violin are better in the mix but her voice is still too loud and the screech should have been taken out.

The stereoimage is also way better. The strings arrangement sounded muffled on my phone and ipad but here it shines.

But a song has to work on all devices. A correction in volumelevels would have done a lot. Louder strings and drums less loud voice. But the drums also sound good in my livingroom.

 

I suggest you also take a listen on good speakers on loud level. It is really much better! Please share your opinion after doing that.

I must say, I agree with you. Listened to it properly now, and for me, there is a huge difference, I can actually say now that I like it. I have to take back most of what I said last night, which was a lot of negativity from my part. Let's try and somehow blot out the screech in the middle, then the rest is nice for me. Let's hope that she forgets to screech on Sunday, ha ha!!! Anyway, I am a lot happier now for myself, am sure a lot of people still won't like it, but that is also okay, we all have our own feelings about things, so no worries.

Just downloaded it and I also think that they took the live vocals from the TC would tour and recorded Stirling afterwards.

 

If they wanted to go the easy way, they could make Scott Price and his orchestra record the Beethoven version and build it around these vocals. The result would be phenomenal. But well, now it's released…

First time I listened to it was quietly on my cell phone, not to wake anyone :)

Second time is on my computer, good earplugs, and yes, it sounded much better :)

 

I like this rendition of the song, it is Celine's version, does not have to be compared to anyone else.

I will buy it on iTunes as soon as possible :)

I actually think it get's better and better....! also the 2:43-part... It sounds like Celine REALLY is trying to convince us AND herself that "the show MUST go on" by screaming it all out load !!!!!! :-) Edited by jbechs

Yeah! She really screams. Remember this is studio. You can do many takes on this. Why did they choose this screech part if not intentional, right?

Please do yourself a favour and take this idea out of your mind... because logistically and clock-wise it"s impossible to bring it on stage and then remove it. That's a TV show. What will be happening while in the meantime?

The Team Céline should have record the same version of The Show Must Go On from Taking Chances World tour!!! That version is amazing and incredible!!!! The new version is very poor!!!!

with the vevo version i can say clear that the mix both vocals, from 2008 live version with the new version, or from different nights, at 1,26 the vocals are a little bit different from previews, it means that at least different recordings days were used
