I hope Céline doesn't see this thread and how critical the FANS are being.

 

Right now, she needs support, she doesn't need FANS (many of whom do not have music industry experience) to be tweeting her (very successful and experienced) manager, telling him how to do his job because they don't like one song.

 

I, for one, like this recording and although I started this thread, won't be reading it anymore because of all of the negativity.

 

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but this thread has turned to venom and it looks more like something you'd see on a "I hate Céline" forum.

A singer who gives permission to someone to edit a bad live performance and pass it as a studio recording is not in need of support. She needs to get it together again.

 

I also fail to see why someone would need ''music industry experience'' to tell that the vocals are strained and that the production is awful. :mellow: Seems there is consensus on that.

 

And please, please! Nobody woke up yesterday and decided to hate on her new recording. We all love Celine, hence our disappointment.

WooW Suprise Surprise....It's kinda funny to me that nobody had this info not even The Red Heads...

this is is just like BAAM in the middle of nowhere. None of us didn't even think of an english single in this year...

they got us so damn good 1/0 for Sony - Team Celine

 

I'm curious what the general public will think of Celine covering Queen/Freddie...will they praise her rendition or...

I hope she slay's it in a proper way.

She never ever recorded this in studio, they clearly took her live vocals from the TC tour.

If you look up her performance back than you can clearly hear that she sounds the same!

On top of that they edited the hell out of her voice so she sounds nothing like her.

 

Only positive thing is that on sunday she will sound amazing, and this version could be just beautiful.

 

But they really missed the chance to blew everyone away with the version she is doing for over a year!

In my opinion THAT should have been the version performed, it has power, drama, and a perfect fit for her since she is used to it.

 

I think this version live could be beautiful, but that's just is. Beautiful.

I don´t undestand what is point of this releasing as single ... I don´ t see it´ll be very sucsessful no matter which version it would be ... this sons is too big and too famous to become hit in version of another artist than Queen.

If that is the case, then maybe we have something to worry about, because I wonder if Rene, as a musician, would have agreed on the way this song was produced and just 'put together' :unsure:

Reflecting on this made me realize two things:

We never recieved something so poorly edited during the 3 decades Celine worked with Rene.

 

Whether Aldo thought this was good or thought it is pretty bad but went away with it, we DO have a reason to worry about. :mellow:

It's so funny she cancelled the release of the Millennium concert herself, cos she thought she sounded bad! But after that we got AND..LILV cd which was a 1000 times worse, plus all those edited 'live' concerts and now this! :glare:

I think regardless, we should support it as she obviously have the green light, and as she said in the interview this week, she now has to make decisions... This one may not be the one right for us, and people make mistakes, but Celine felt this one was right... And without Rene, it must have been tough as we all knew he made all the show biz discussions.

 

I'm buying the single...

 

Maybe it will grow on me lol.

The arrangement is beautiful, the song itself is beautiful.

 

But the production just is terrible.

 

I am SURE it will sound amazing next sunday, but whoever made this one, you fired!!! :-)

I'm on my way to work...so I'll answer replies and whatnot when I get back...

 

So I just listened to the single...I'm crying. And not happy tears. I'm scared. Seriously and honestly scared. With that tweet from Lindsey...I think we have our confirmation that we're not getting the Vegas version of the song...I'm not going to say I'm embarrassed...yet...but with so much at stake with this performance...i'd think they'd have just released an amazing live version and called it a day. Hopefully, we get the Vegas version Sunday and Lindsey is just doing a solo or something...because I really don't want to have to try and defend this mess. And if I'm really being honest with myself...I probably wont. :cry:

Btw i just remember someone sharing a tweet about some producer telling that was finishing a celine dion song and that we thought it was encore un soire. I think this might be the guy who messed it up!

Over 3.000 views and the reaction is only positive on YT comments! This says little since Celine VEVO followers have watched it but it's a very good start anyway!

I keep trying to think positive and trust her team ahead of Sunday...

 

But I have drafted and deleted an email to Aldo a few times already this morning.

 

This is a huge night for her on Sunday and I want it to be epic, not average!

Okay i just played the song in my livingroom with my good speakers on my soundsystem: way way better! On my phone and ipad it sounds muffled. Not so much here! The strings and violin are better in the mix but her voice is still too loud and the screech should have been taken out.

The stereoimage is also way better. The strings arrangement sounded muffled on my phone and ipad but here it shines.

But a song has to work on all devices. A correction in volumelevels would have done a lot. Louder strings and drums less loud voice. But the drums also sound good in my livingroom.

 

I suggest you also take a listen on good speakers on loud level. It is really much better! Please share your opinion after doing that.

it will hit more than her previews singles, the only good thing is the music it is ok, and some beats cover the karaoke version, maybe she recorded the vocals on cell phone then went around, Lindsey loved and and she played the violin by snap-chat :clap:
