I'm the minority here, but I really like this version. The instrumental is great, and while the vocals aren't the vegas quality, they're not completely horrible. I'm just happy that there's finally a studio version!

 

The beauty of the live version is that it is different. Spices it up.

I was dreaming about it since she performed it with Florent Pagny and David Hallyday :cry: :cry:

She and David Hallyday were SO good in that performance! The other guy was pretty bad. A duet between the 2 back in 2007 would be a great adittion to TC. A bonus track maybe! Edited by LukeD

Vegas ending "shoooowowoww show must go ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon" ---> this one was used in the studio version

I would rather have her singing this song at all. Ain't gonna look the other way had been a way better choice or something interesting from her extensive repertoire

This studio recording could have been SO epic. Possibly her most brilliant studio vocal performance since ''I Surrender''. It has mid-belts, sustained notes, Celine could nail it.

Seriously, what's so bad about "There Comes A Time"? Do you really think this new recording everyone is tearing apart here is as bad as There Comes A Time? What's bad in that song, vocally speaking? I don't notice any bad vocals in that 2007 recording. Her vocals in TC were spot on, including those in There Comes A Time, so I don't understand a thing :hmm: :unsure:

 

It's boring material. It never should have been an option. Vocally it's just fine.

I remember back when "A New Day..." started I was so impressed when Celine performed "What A Wonderful World" and was delighted to discover she recorded a studio version for the "Miracle" album.

 

I have the same feeling now with TSMGO that I did with WAWW and that is completely underhwhelmed.

It's because it's all OLD lol. The vocals, the arrangements, the cover photo lol. The only new thing is the damn use of auto tune and that's not a good thing lol.

Yeah but I was wondering how old those vocals are. I think they were taken from a live performance in Vegas of the new version of TSMGO... only of course that they rearranged and rebuilt the instrumental around the vocals.

At 2.44 Celine screams like a squirrell beeing tortured. They def should have taken that out. When i listen to the track again it for sure would have been way better to turn up the volume of the backing track. Celine sings okay but no goosebumps here

That's because it was a lullaby version lol. The Vegas show version was made for a pop show. That made sense this thing that they did today makes NO sense.

Tbh I don't think this is favorable for Celine I just can't believe this was seriously considered to be released?? what a way to bring down hopes I hope for the best on Sunday sorry if I'm sounding negative but unfortunately that's the way it is!

Her voice is not on top here. I prefer the TCWT version with the more edgy start, the rock vibes and the belting at the end. This one is too slow, overproduced, and i'm not found of the violins at all here. Sorry guys, I really wish i'd like that version, but...i'm not. I hope her voice will be better on Encore un soir.

This awful thing can't be Céline Dion... Don't believe it.

 

It almost does'nt even sound like Celine. Now i'm really worried, if she sings it like this on Sunday at the Billboards, i will be so embarresd. She sings it so well in Vegas, then this comes out. I can't believe it. Sorry, but the whole song is terrible, everything...... But for me, she is still and always will be my sweet, precious, darling Celine :wub: :in_love: :in_love: I love her so much, extremely so.
