Céline Releasing Studio Version of "The Show Must Go On" featuring Lindsey Stirling

That's my theory too, it's not a studio version... it was edited as they did with The Power of love and To love you more, you can hear the same effects...

That is what i heard as well. The instruments have been build around her voice but it sounds like she sings along with a backingtrack and the vocal is way louder, making it sound like a bad mix.

listened 6 times and I do not like this version, it's strange, because not made as The Power Of My Dream, took and edited the sounds and put on the record.

I apologize for what I say too bad ta more so when it was announced The Show Must Go On, I thought, must come a good thing, maybe the version of Vegas, over this very strange.

Do you people understand what it means to have her live vocals edited for a studio version?

It is the utter proof that her team consists of opportunistic money makers! A total shame if what you are suggesting it true.

A singer who is hailed as one of the best vocalists out there and who is also known to be the enduring voice of her generation WILL be criticized when she offers strained, screamed vocals in a rushed studio version. This is really not about the fans being negative. We just happen to have a working pair of ears.

My ears work quite well, and I don't think it sounds strained... I've heard live versions more strained...

Go to 2.42 and tell me this note is strain free. Edited by LukeD

I hope we will have a great surprise this morning in France on radios, I doubt about it...

Am I the only one who finds the cover photo choice to be a bad one, too? She looks far too happy and smiley considering the song's content. Edited by SuperLove4Celine

Another reason to butcher her on radio. What a missed opportunity. She will be nominated again like with you shook me all night long .

You are ranting about her choice to do covers when the issue here is the poor production and rushed vocals. TFTEISYF was magic in studio, ATW and HDYKTMP were amazing too.

Yes, the difference is that TFTEISYF and ATW hadn't been performed cents of times before they were recorded  . And especially, not 8 years before the studio versions arrived :thumbsup2: . That makes a big difference. Eight years is a looooooong time enough for fans and public to have a clear idea of how they like the song and how it sounds in our heads.

Everyone has idealized its favourite live version of TSMGO since it was performed first during the TCWT. It's been 8 years since then. Coming now with a studio version that by no means measures up to the precendent live performances looks rather useless. And unnecessary. Looks even opportunistic to me, to make money of her Billboard performance and her pain, taking into account why she chose to perform this song for the event.

(And in case you were wondering: yes, I'm against her recording this cover in the studio. Completely unnecessary again ^_^ )

I don't get it. This sounds like her belts are gone. @2:42ish  Why would they think that is great?

I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

I would have loved and always wanted The show must go on as a proper Studio Version, but the epic Beethoven Version she sings in Vegas, not this!

Yes, it is a bad choice for me too. Another proof of how rushed this release is.

I think I'm having a headache. I have never been more negative than I am tonight.

Yes and that cover is also rushed. Just pick a current photo. How i wish i could be part of her productionteam! I think Rene Charles just finished his first track after taking a cubase mixing course ;)

I was excited to want to see your presentation on Billboard, but after I heard this version, I know she will sing, it's kinda disappointing.

Not at all, I absolutely adore TJTWIM, I love the rasp on certain songs... But this is just not Céline....someone stitched her vocals and made them fit into a song

The photo is nice but it does not portray the show must go on.

It sounds like someone woke up this morning with an idea to release TSMGO. One hour later this person was in the studio mixing the song with one hand, while with the other hand he was calling Team Celine to cancel the release of Encore un soir on FB so that it doesn't disturb the release of this "genuine masterpice" that he came up with. Of course everybody forgot to tell it to Céline that she actually has a new English single out today.

The cover used would be perfect for a song like "Make You Happy," "I'm Alive" or even "Have You Ever Been In Love." Not "The Show Must Go On."

This cover is bad because of its poor production and strained vocals which have nothing - NOTHING - to do with the years between the live singing and the actual recording.

Oh it's bad, so bad. I gave it a chance, too, thinking it might get better but it was just the opposite. Why release this if it's not good? Queen is only one of the most popular bands in history. People will not be kind.

Our only hope is an unprecedented crash of Spotify's, Pandora's, YouTube's, and Apple's (what else am I missing) systems. 🙏
