Thank you very much! I wholeheartedly agree. They'll do the Vegas arrangement at the billboards, her band is all right there it's a no-brainer. I do agree that they released it for the hype, and that they could/should have edited it better, but still. Céline especially needs her fans to be with her at this time :)

I read this forum a lot, I rarely ever post. However, I'm shocked at the negativity.... coming from Celine's own fans.... It's like... constant criticism most days. Our job is not to critique every little thing... we are fans, we love and support Celine. I thought the studio version was great, and for the most part, vocals were strong. Her enunciation of the lyrics is better too.

I actually enjoyed listening to the arrangement, a nice little breather from listening to the Vegas version since August.

 

You're absolutely fine. I don't like what they did with this version either. But I'm gonna chose to look at the positive part that this is a good move into this century by TEAMCELINE. The song isn't great but at least her team is finally giving me some hope that they understand show business for 2016 not 1996.

I heard that too. She should be part of the instruments. Otherwise it sounds like it sounds now: she singing along with an instrumental track. And her voice does not mix well because it is too loud against the backingtrack. Missing reverb on both Celine and the instruments as well. I so hope this was fanmade! But then again that famous violinplayer..there is a completely different violinpart that we did not hear before. That is why i think this is the final version...

Well I enjoyed it.

They need to CANCEL this.

 

And just release a real live version from Vegas.

Her vocals are on point there!

 

It's not her fault,but they edited the hell out of her voice, she sounds awful!

 

And what happened at 2.40? They can't be true with releasing this!

 

They are really messing up a good strategy here! The intention is a big PLUS but the outcome...

 

I really hope nobody will notice this has been released :-)

It's sad but it is true... If it is in iTunes already is the final version... no demo.... A really poor production... In my opinion... they took the worst part of Celine's cover... that is all the boring and plain part of the song and they ruined the climax of Vegas version... the knives are sharp... one of Queen's anthem songs ruined by a rush bad production... really sad... hope everything changes on Sunday..let's see which are the reactions tomorrow...

The pressrelease stated "special rendition" so anything could happen

I have faith that Celine will knock it out of the ballpark with the right arrangement on Sunday at the awards, which will hopefully receive overshadow this studio recording.

Ok, I just had a chance to listen.... I'm disappointed it's not the Beethoven version, but the studio recording is much closer to the original Queen version and for that reason I like it. Her enunciation is WAY better, I still pray they'll release a studio Beethoven version though.I also think we're just so conditioned to the new version that the original just sounds bizarre.

Guys, this will NOT be her performance Sunday. I am almost 100% sure. She will do the classic version, this is the billboard awards. It has to be high energy, and we all know she will not disappoint us. It's gonna be great! Let's not worry too much :(

It's better than half the crap out there today. This isn't her "come back" single and I doubt they are going to glue themselves to the chart for this release.

 

I am ashamed to read some of the horrible remarks on here. This is her fan forum but doesn't look like it today.

 

I'm grateful they threw us a bone before "Encore un soir". This beats "there comes a time" any day. Let's be glad Celine's making her return to music, take this as a gift, and move on.

Wow. So I just listened to the recording a couple of times and I was seriously expecting the absolute WORST based on the reviews I'm reading on here.

 

Is it perfect? No. Is it the Vegas version? No. Does it crash and burn? Far from it.

 

I honestly didn't think it was half bad. My 3 criticisms are:

 

1. First chorus - the background singers should've been added. The auto tune on Céline's vocal is way too noticeable without them.

 

2. The mixing of the first 2/3 of the song isn't great. Her vocal is too pronounced and the orchestra isn't blending with her voice. This could've been better.

 

3. Céline's scream during the Lindsey Stirling solo after the second chorus should've been cut.

 

All in all, I wish it was the Vegas version, but I'm for the most part happy with this and I think it will serve its purpose and probably make a splash. IMO, it's better than most of the performances on the TC tour including the one we have on DVD.

 

...and someone will record the Billboard performance in HQ and share it so we'll still get a professionally mixed non-Bootleg of that arrangement.

The one thing that the team needs to learn though is that Queen Celine does not need Auto-Tune. :glare:

By the way I bought it on Amazon, in high quality, the voice is less damaged I don't know what to think about this seriously....

Thank you very much. I completely agree, it's her version, and I think we need to accept it as her version, and that's why we like it. She needs our support now more then ever! She's going to the time to release new music without her husband by her side. She's not perfect, she's just doing her best. Let's trust her!

A singer who is hailed as one of the best vocalists out there and who is also known to be the enduring voice of her generation WILL be criticized when she offers strained, screamed vocals in a rushed studio version. This is really not about the fans being negative. We just happen to have a working pair of ears. Edited by LukeD

Well sorry but this version is just very bad. No wonder that we all are discussing it. I expect a studio version to be perfection. This sounded like someone who does not have a clue how to properly mix and master a track!

A new single, released after a major Awards performance of a well known song by a legendary group and vocalist it's not "every little thing." I rarely complain about most things....but this is dreadful.

I agree, I hate auto-tune.

 

It's not a great song or vocals but sadly this isn't her worst song guys... Just go listen to " Let Your Heart Decide" or "There Comes A Time".

 

But that scream by Celine for bloody murder should've never happened. The auto tune makes no sense. But I'm not worried about her voice these vocals are clearly from a week period of 2008-2009.

2.42 is the worst moment of any of her recordings. Sounds as if someone is struggling her! Bad vocals and awful production.

Wow, that excitement didn't last long. What in gods name is that noise at 2:43? It sounds like a bird screeching, there's no way they could let that stay in, it hurt my ears! I

That's what I'm saying also! There is no way she would agree to release that! This is a ruse! .....has to be.

It's not about the slow or the beethoven version....They killed the vocals, it's just distorted

It's said Rene and Celine worked together before his death to route Celine's career for the next few years. This may have been something he signed off on before going Home. So, if that's the case, then...
