Where???

 

I was telling my boyfriend about it, and he said he heard it the 1st time on Vevo. Then tried it on his phone on the YouTube app and he said it had been fixed because he didn't hear the screech at 2:45 wasn't there just the violin. I listened again it was still there. Told him and he said it was back... so I dunno? I feel like Rene wouldn't have approved but who knows? Think it was supposed to be "raw" or using what she referred to as her "bedroom voice" either way it sounds like a tridactyl screeching!

I have waited for so long...for a miracle to come, A New Day Has Come!!

I still can't get over this studio version but will calm down. Anyone with good ears would not approve, ugh the live version is light years above this. Okay sorry rant over, cringing but love the song love Céline, just not this version whatsoever.

I've been quiet about this as to be honest I was shocked and not sure what to say. I've been wanting her to record and release this song for years from when I first heard it. Then I heard the Vegas version and thought this is it, that's the one she needs to record.

 

When I saw the FB post yesterday I near fell over but then saw the negative comments here and was scared of what was to come. I am disappointed that it's not the Vegas version we've heard lately and I think that certainly did reduce the excitement for the song. I also wondered maybe here was a copyright issue where they are able to perform the song live, but can't record and release a studio version with the Vegas version. While the vocals are far from perfect and agree with many that say it looks like it was taken from a live performance, I do like the violin in the song. Fingers crossed we get a live recording of her Vegas with TSMGO as it is now on the show.

 

The surprise element her team brought has been fantastic and I hope they keep that up as it creates excitement and we've been wanting that for years. So thumbs up for that and hope they do keep this up for future releases.

you are right, sometimes it is not to our taste, but at least they did something...
Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

Ok, the song is better on iTunes, still awful.....but guys and girls PLEASE stop with the "René wouldn't have allowed this, René this, René that...." we don't know if it was in the plan, if it was he's idea...and the only thing that's certain is that he's gone....let him rest in peace

you are right, sometimes it is not to our taste, but at least they did something...

It's like "Hey at least I went to the Olympics and almost medaled" but didn't. Regardless the masses will love it especially after the BBM performance and I hope it cracks the top 40 !

Me too, it's just we had huge expactations about it, especially after what she offered us in Vegas with the Beethoven introduction, a pure gem.

the middle scream part is alot better here

i think the original would sound like this but something's not right for the studio version probably auto tuned the screech or something otherwise it would be good if it's like the live one

I have criticized Celine a lot for soundind fake and soulless. So I love this! I love that they leave an imperfect note in. I am over the moon. That note at 2:42 has more feeling and emotion in it than all of Love me back to life!

 

Sorry buut NOT... this is not about imperfect notes... the voice production in this "studio song" is so retouched that I can barely hear Celine's voice... The screech thing is not horrible because isn't "perfect"... it is horrible because it is a nonsense editing.. it's being introduced in a bad moment and it doesn't give any dramatic sense... it is just annoying... I don't think this is a natural Celine... this "studio" cover sounds even more fake and soulless than any other song from hers (maybe even rain, tax... ) hahahahahahaha...

Seriosly.. this is all about production and bad auto-tune of Celine's voice (what, by the way.. she doesn't need).... There is no natural raw feeling in this recording session...

 

of course, just my opinion.. hehe ;-)

If you actually listen to the original version recorded by Queen this studio version is almost identical to Freddy Mercury. It's a little different than what we are used to from her with this song but it's growing on me ❤️ It looks like Lindsey sterling will be performing this with her at the BB awards Sunday too... 🎉

Decided to buy the song after all...

 

I cannot not buy it, i'm too big of a fan.

 

But i hope Aldo reads this and that next time he wants to release Celine's music he should make sure her voice doesn't sound metalic (autotuned) like this.

i find that it has feelings...one thing she does more now, she always put feelings before everything else. It is a great thing . And after listening to it a few time, i must say it grows on me.

I have to admit that the song has grown on me since hearing the leaked version yesterday. I've listened to it on Spotify a few times, and it's not as awful as I thought it was at first. However, I am still pretty disappointed, because it just feels like such a missed opportunity. It could have been so much more epic and bombastic, especially if they'd done the Vegas version.

 

The thing that boggles my mind about this is that if they went to the effort of getting Lindsay Stirling involved, and creating the instrumental for this version, why in the world would they not take the time recording a new vocal from Celine? It just feel like such a squandered opportunity to do something amazing, and that's the most frustrating part.

 

I so want the live version this Sunday to be a complete showstopper, but I worry that if it's this version instead of Vegas, that won't happen. But, on the other hand, the general public doesn't necessarily have the Vegas version in mind to make the comparison with, so I guess if they do this version, most people just won't know what they're missing. ;)

Most people will calm down about it cause after the first blast our brain gets " bored" , as with everything that's not new, and cant see what is so bad about it as much so it feels ok. It was like that for me .. on the TC xfactor thing, then it grew on me and I could not see much of the "awful" in it anymore.

 

The truth folks is that she is been strugling for a long time because of her age and now this shows even on studio recordings. Ditto.
