I Drove All Night! Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:47 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:47 PM I'm just sitting here over-analyzing things at this point.... I wonder if Rene chose PQTME because it was Céline's most famous French song, having it play at the closing was a way to say, "Look at what we did together. We were magnificent, and you will continue to play my symphony without me." 6 Quote

I'm just glad either way that MHWGO had no part in this that would've been too corny and the media would have a field day with that. Edited January 22, 2016 at 11:49 PM by Nmj 1 Quote

Cheri Marie Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:49 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:49 PM she didn't ate for a week, she had put a little bit of weight. she lost all of it. Well damn. She has to take care of herself. This is the one thing that was drummed into my head from the doctors to the nurses to hospice staff. I didn't want to leave to eat and they made me do it. I just hope they get some rest this week. 1 Quote

celine4evauk Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:56 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:56 PM i think she put both on the same digit... she was shacking because she was keeping her tears inside. Ok thanks. I missed part of it cos it was buffering 😈 only saw her put a ring on left hand then tie the strings.Same as I missed RC's french speech. I was surprised at how much of a french accent he's got lol.Yeah doubt celine has eaten much this past week. I didn't eat a proper meal for 3 weeks after my dad died. Celine looked so tired too. Understandable. Hope the next few days, although tough saying goodbye to Daniel, help them all as I hope it'll be private for them. 5 Quote
CelineDionFreak Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:59 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:59 PM I've decided tonight I'm gonna watch some of through the eyes of the world tonight. It'll be so hard to watch when Rene comes on but it'll help me to come to realization he's actually gone. I didn't know what to do and I thought this would be a good idea I guess... 6 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

Celinenvegas Posted January 23, 2016 at 12:37 AM Posted January 23, 2016 at 12:37 AM Entertainment Tonight (ET) in the US just had a segment about the funeral. They said there were 13 cameras inside and out. Celine spent over 7 hours greeting family, friends, & the public at the viewing yesterday. They also said there would be a tribute on Feb 3rd in Las Vegas. They showed Celine and the kids coming in and out of the church and some moments from the funeral including a clip of RC and a few interviews. They did not mention any celebrity attendees. 1 Quote ~J O E Y~

Del Posted January 23, 2016 at 12:49 AM Posted January 23, 2016 at 12:49 AM I was just finishing up at work when the funeral started. I saw her entering the church with 3 heures 20 and started trearing up, so I quickly left and came home. I recorded the funeral so started watching it. What a beautiful yet heartbreak ceremony. It was very touching and a wonderful way to say goodbye. I thought I had extended the time on the recording in case it went over the allocated time but unfortunately it didn't save properly and ended just before they walked outside. I held up quite well during the funeral, but when the first notes of PQTME started I thought oh oh... and then the applause came and I lost it. There was no control. It's a moment that I will never forget seeing and while PQTME is my favorite song ever it will be difficult to listen to a while. here's a link that had pictures and videos from today. http://www.journaldequebec.com/2016/01/22/funerailles-nationales-de-rene-angelil-couverture-en-direct 3 Quote Instagram: @delphis78
mike_z Posted January 23, 2016 at 12:54 AM Posted January 23, 2016 at 12:54 AM That speech RC gave at 14 is just so moving. She's all grown up. I wouldn't say he's less than 7 years old. I can't believe he was born and he's lived his whole life in the US and still he has a french accent. It's cute because not only he looks like his parents but he speaks like them too. You can tell he's proud. 2 Quote
Nmj Posted January 23, 2016 at 12:54 AM Posted January 23, 2016 at 12:54 AM I think that PQTME Makes a return to her Vegas show now, it's a totally different song now. 2 Quote

QueenCeline87 Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:04 AM Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:04 AM I haven't been on in the last two days but I watched everything and I'm first off devastated for Celine and the children!I'm replaying the whole thing in my mind. I'm questioning if it's normal that I have cried as much as I have and continue to! But then I look at Celine and her amazing strength and courage these past days! I don't think many could do what she has with the world watching! She has always been my hero but im even more in awe of her now!!RC was so brave , his dad would be smiling down on him today and the twins have the best big brother to look up to! I hope now that Celine and her boys take the time they need to heal. Vegas can wait , albums can wait if she doesn't feel up to doing that for now Her fans have her back whatever she decides! 1 Quote http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_-RQtOAL6F2I/TAZl-_MB2AI/AAAAAAAAAiI/bkJK6a44q3o/s1600/celine-dion-goodbyes-the-saddest-word.jpg

Alex_Incognito Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:15 AM Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:15 AM (edited) RC doesn't have a french accent. It's Québécois. He sounds JUST like his dad when he spoke English, and Rene had a very good north American accent with a taste of Québécois. Peter12345 Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:17 AM Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:17 AM I was thinking more about the last glimpse of Celine before getting into the car. I bet she was thinking that the first time she walked into that church she was getting married, and now, the last time she left that same church, she was a widow. It must be surreal for her as it is for us. 1 Quote "Celine": The Colosseum: August 7, 2011Celine Dion: Courage World Tour -- Milwaukee, WI -- November 3, 2019
Nmj Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:29 AM Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:29 AM (edited) I can't stop thinking that I watched the wedding ceremony 21 years ago, and today I watched the funeral. It's all much it's crazy for me to think about and register. And didn't anyone notice the look on Celine's face all day, it was empty, nothing but emptiness it's really tough to see Edited January 23, 2016 at 01:32 AM by Nmj 3 Quote
Celinenvegas Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:39 AM Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:39 AM Yes I did notice that too. I don't know if she was trying to hold it together for the boys or be strong for Rene or what. It was almost like "robot Celine". I didn't expect her to be a basket case ( like many of us) because she knew it was coming and probably made peace with it but it's still hard to watch her go through it all. She really was a pillar of strength today - how can anyone not have tremendous respect for her. I do see her in a different light now. 1 Quote ~J O E Y~
