ZoraSourit Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:25 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:25 PM It was sad, but beautiful. And above all very meaningful. He was ready and so was she... pepillo90 Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:27 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:27 PM Wow, that was really touching. I think I've never cried so much. Huge respect for all of them. browseceline Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:28 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:28 PM (edited) That was a really touching funeralservice. It feels like i have just been there and that i lost someone. It was also very hard to watch. But i am glad i did. I feel like giving support to Celine, like we all gave her support these days. Hearing Celine's songs in the Church was heartbreaking but also so beautiful. I think it will be hard for her to sing these songs again. That everyone applauded during the coffincar going out of the Church was such a great moment. Rene choose the songs..the songs that he loved..the songs that his wife so beautifully sang, the star he created. This was really a very beautiful service. And Celine doing the handgestures she always does when communicatieve with Rene, Celine kissing the coffin. She has been such a strong woman. Love her! celine4evauk Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:28 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:28 PM And that was about the time the service began! Now they can do the burial and say their final goodbyes in private. Think Rene is being buried with his mum - thought i read that somewhere. But i could be wrong. I just find it hard, the thought of celine being in lv and rene in montreal. RIP Rene, merci. That was a beautiful, though heartbreaking, service. Goodnight my friends. 2 Quote
Modesta Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:28 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:28 PM I have a terrible headache from all the crying and I can't stop. Trois heures vingt, that song has an all new meaning now I wish them all the strength in the world. That last embrace by the coffin. Oh my god ... I can't even imagine her pain 1 Quote
Kristinaz Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:29 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:29 PM (edited) I was ok through most of it. Except during the entrance/placing the rings and flower on the coffin, RC's speech and the end but especially when she went down and kissed the coffin when they stopped at the steps outside. I am going to get a nice glass of wine cause my head hurts. And like I said before this began I don't attend funerals because I just can't so this is my first funeral and right now I just can't Edited January 22, 2016 at 10:30 PM by Kristinaz 1 Quote

Peter12345 Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:37 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:37 PM When "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" began, that's when it hit me. The applause, Celine following behind Rene, all of it. I hadn't cried about Rene's passing until that moment. I think it was a perfect song to end with. Celine's final goodbye to Rene was heartbreaking, but just before getting into the car, she turned to the church, knowing that "this was it." You could tell it impacted her deeply in that moment. The end tore me apart. 4 Quote "Celine": The Colosseum: August 7, 2011Celine Dion: Courage World Tour -- Milwaukee, WI -- November 3, 2019
