jessx Posted January 22, 2016 at 08:59 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 08:59 PM What were the bells for? Also, is this guy singing something in hebrew? I think I may have heard the word Allah, so I'm guessing maybe something in Arabic, as Rene was an Arab... Not too sure though, just a shot in the dark. Quote
drove all night Posted January 22, 2016 at 08:59 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 08:59 PM I'm pretty sure, that Céline carries her engagement ring. That could mean, that her and René's wedding bands are on the little cushion lying on the coffin ... Quote
Kristinaz Posted January 22, 2016 at 08:59 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 08:59 PM (edited) What were the bells for? Also, is this guy singing something in hebrew?Actually it's the Greek prayer in French. I've heard it enough times in my church in Greek to recognize it lol If it's the same service I'm watching cause I know the streams are a bit different in timing but Rene was part of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church Edited January 22, 2016 at 09:01 PM by Kristinaz 3 Quote

québecflower Posted January 22, 2016 at 09:06 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 09:06 PM Can this end now cause I can't ....like I don't do funerals. With Greeks the funeral and wake is open casket unless the body is in bad condition due to accident or illness. I'm glad the casket is closed today cause I can't it's bad enough with it closed don't start me if it was open. I had two glasses of wine last night tonight I'll need 3 or 4. It's only 12:48pm here and I'm a mess!the casket is always closed in the church for the cermony...it is a good thing. If it is the same one then it sounded French to me but commentators were talking over him and all I meant was the prayer whatever language was duplicate to how the Greek prayer goes Quote
