I Drove All Night! Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:54 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:54 PM Just finished watching it. It was really a beautiful funeral, can i use that word? I loved how the people started clapping and whisteling and shouting as though they were at a consert of hers, when they were walking out behind the coffin. It sort of took away a tiny bit of the sadness for just a few minutes. It was very emotional for me. Sharon. I agree, the applause and whistling was very uplifting. 3 Quote

CelineDionFreak Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:55 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:55 PM That was a beautiful ceremony. The ending was just perfect and I love that she did what she did to the coffin at the end. It was a very touching tribute! I wish her and her family all the best for this next week. 1 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

Manila Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:56 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:56 PM (edited) I tried to decode what she wrote on the casket, and it definitely starts with a "L" It's probably L.V. or Love, since the word seems to be a short one. So much emotion I can't stop crying. I bet something in French, She is Québécoise after all Edited January 22, 2016 at 10:58 PM by Manila Quote
CelineDionFreak Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:58 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 10:58 PM So, I just turned on my music in my phone on shuffle for the first time since the funeral, and MHWGO came on. Sad, but what a perfect sing for today Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

Popular Post Daysleeper Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:06 PM Popular Post Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:06 PM The moment when "Trois heures vingt" started I had tears in my eyes. It was at that moment I was starting to realize that René actually is not with us anymore. All my memories of the fan started to come in my mind: the first time I heard Céline, the first concert I saw in live, when she gave me an autograph, when I was listening to her music in sad and many beautiful moments and so on. I realized how Céline was important part of my life. I met many friends thanks to her. In a way it changed my life. Her music gave me strength and courage many times. And all that wouldn't be there without the wisdom and passion of René. In one moment, I even opened the book "Pour toujours" in one moment watching pictures and remembering things. It was a nostalgic moment for me tonight. Merci, René. The ceremony was sad, touching, but also beautiful. I could say it was another René's organisational masterpiece. Also I would like to thank everybody in this forum for sharing emotions. I'm feeling proud of being the part of this community and proud to be a fan of Céline for all these 20 years. 14 Quote
takeachance Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:07 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:07 PM Wow over 250 posts missed. I shut down all social media to just watch the service alone. I am so glad to have been part of it. It was a beautiful service and René has done a great job making his final show unforgettable. For me the songs really got me. I just chocked when Trois Heures Vingt started... I have a feeling Jimmy and that girl were the ones who carried the rings 21 years ago... I thought that was a very sweet gesture.... placing the same cushion but now on a coffin made me so sad. I think Patrick and especially RC did a great job honouring their father. But the moment Therese hugged Céline after LAEE.. that killed me! Céline is a strong woman, but now I just saw an empty shell of the vibrant woman she is. She must be totally drained after this horrifying week. She was just staring in the distance. I hope she won't have a nervous breakdown after tomorrow. BUT seeing her with her family, the Dions and the Angelils made me proud. René gave her a strong family base that will always support and love her no matter what. This is also true for all us fans, I am proud of us too. Céline is the best thing that could have happened to us and we know how to show that. And in a way we all owe it to the gambler... I hope they have poker tables upstairs! René.Deadly post thank you !!! Made me smile !! 1 Quote http://i66.tinypic.com/2dk08jn.gifRIP Rene Angelil xx Sending Love and Prayers to Celine
swimmer Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:07 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:07 PM Whose ring did she take from the pillow? Was it her's or Rene's? I couldn't tell because I was busy crying my eyes out. I thought it was a really sweet that Rene thought of doing that. It just goes to show how intuned the were with each other and how much he loved her. Quote

Xpresso Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:14 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:14 PM (edited) Once again, René has shown the world how it's done.He planned every detail and it was all so meaningful. I only realised afterwards that the song Trois Heures Vingt (3 hours 20) is the actual time when Céline and her children were walking into the basilica. When Céline's songs were playing I couldn't hold it. And I'm not one to cry easily.I'm glad I could see the funeral (even if I was not sure it was a good idea a few days ago).May you rest in peace René. You won't be forgotten.MERCI CHAMPION! Celinenvegas Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:16 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:16 PM Yes I agree Vic. I was so glad it was shown to the pubic and especially us fans. We all feel as close to Rene as we do Celine, it is our loss as well. It will be so difficult to hear Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore live when she tours this summer. He had a very good life, he accomplished so much, and is so well respected in all facets of his life. It is truly a life to be celebrated. 2 Quote ~J O E Y~

flutefreak Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:19 PM Posted January 22, 2016 at 11:19 PM That was probably the saddest thing I've ever watched. Still in tears. The amount of love and respect for them is at an all time high. The hardest part was hearing Celine's songs because I haven't listened to any of them since he died that and her putting on both their wedding rings. Totally got me. 2 Quote
