This was so special, watching/listening to the service with all of you.

This is what the fan community should be, all of us together supporting Celine. Yes, the circumstances were terrible, but I'm glad we could get together like this.

Let's do it more often, but just under better circumstances.

 

Au revoir, René. Thank you for discovering Céline, and for bringing her into all of our lives. Your memory will live on, through the beautiful voice you shared with us all. On t'aime!

I said I wasn't gonna watch it but I watched the last hour. Her music has given so much to my life so I thought I owe her that, I owe her to say thank you to Rene. I thought it was a beautiful ceremony, and very touching with the choices of music. RC is such a great kid and the twins were so well-behaved. Bless them, they won't remember much, they will just miss his presence.

Celine, oh Celine. You could tell she is standing tall when it's filmed but I am glad - for a lack of better word - that this is all private now so she can cry and let all her emotions out. Of course, she knew it would happen but it's the man of her life. I am just wondering what she wrote on the coffin at the end. Oh my beautiful Celine, surround yourself with your family and cherish them, and we love you so very much.

Wow over 250 posts missed. I shut down all social media to just watch the service alone. I am so glad to have been part of it. It was a beautiful service and René has done a great job making his final show unforgettable.

For me the songs really got me. I just chocked when Trois Heures Vingt started... I have a feeling Jimmy and that girl were the ones who carried the rings 21 years ago... I thought that was a very sweet gesture.... placing the same cushion but now on a coffin made me so sad. I think Patrick and especially RC did a great job honouring their father. But the moment Therese hugged Céline after LAEE.. that killed me!

 

Céline is a strong woman, but now I just saw an empty shell of the vibrant woman she is. She must be totally drained after this horrifying week. She was just staring in the distance. I hope she won't have a nervous breakdown after tomorrow. BUT seeing her with her family, the Dions and the Angelils made me proud. René gave her a strong family base that will always support and love her no matter what.

This is also true for all us fans, I am proud of us too. Céline is the best thing that could have happened to us and we know how to show that.

 

And in a way we all owe it to the gambler... I hope they have poker tables upstairs! René.

My heart breaks for the twins too, my son is the same age and it just really effected me. God bless them all... But I'm so glad to have been able to watch and experience this with you all.

I tried to decode what she wrote on the casket, and it definitely starts with a "L" It's probably L.V. or Love, since the word seems to be a short one.

Just finished watching it. It was really a beautiful funeral, can i use that word? I loved how the people started clapping and whisteling and shouting as though they were at a consert of hers, when they were walking out behind the coffin. It sort of took away a tiny bit of the sadness for just a few minutes. It was very emotional for me.

So this is it Rene your final farewell.....most beautiful funeral I ever saw....

 

I kind of fell in love with this Notre Dame basilica

 

It got me everytime a Celine song started, it was like OMG this is really the last time you are with us...and

thoughts running through my head like THANK YOU RENE if it wasn't you I wouldn't hear those and many

other special songs I cried out in sad times.....

 

Today I was feeling a sad Quebequer in my heart.
