mirage Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:39 PM Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:39 PM Anyone knows where she will be staying? Is her house already sold? Is there a chance that the 'Celebration of Life' in Las Vegas will be broadcast on her website? Quote
blueblazers90 Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:39 PM Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:39 PM I was really hoping she wore a veil! I told my family I wanted her to resemble the elegance of Jackie Kennedy at JFKs funeral..... She delivered. She looked gorgeous. She showed the world how classy she really is. I couldn't be more proud to be a fan. 7 Quote

DionFanAlways Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:46 PM Posted January 23, 2016 at 01:46 PM And didn't anyone notice the look on Celine's face all day, it was empty, nothing but emptiness it's really tough to see Yes I did notice that too. I don't know if she was trying to hold it together for the boys or be strong for Rene or what. It was almost like "robot Celine".The emptiness in her face in my opinion is WAY worse then "basket case". It's far more worrisome. It's like she's trying so hard to shield herself from people seeing how bad she's hurting. Believe me the tears and sobbing are healthier.I was thinking of these posts and I'm thinking it's more shock and grief then emptiness and roboCeline. I don't know. Just a thought. 3 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

Popular Post scielle Posted January 23, 2016 at 02:02 PM Popular Post Posted January 23, 2016 at 02:02 PM So I finally watched the service and thought it was just perfectly done. Not at all over the top, as I think some expected, but beautiful and meaningful and very tastefully filmed, too. I'm glad they didn't do too many close-ups of Celine in her grief. I suppose having planned everything, Rene also chose the readings and prayers. I found the one for those displaced by war and conflict particularly poignant. The twins were remarkably well behaved, and RC was really there for mum, wasn't he. It was quite beautiful. I felt like she was really a shell of herself here, and he really held her up. And I'm glad there weren't any big-C celebs there. This was not about stargazing and showbiz, but about celebrating a man's life and heritage, and about him coming home. I though it was appropriate. 14 Quote
CelineDionFreak Posted January 23, 2016 at 02:17 PM Posted January 23, 2016 at 02:17 PM Well, today is a new day. I hope she feels a little better since his service is over. I know she has her brother's services now, but I think the hardest part is now over. I hope she feels at least a little better now! 2 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

I do kind of hope the celebration of life is shown, it'd kind of complete the set, as weird as that might sound. 2 Quote my life, my dream, my Céline.

It was such a beautiful goodbye. Very tastefully filmed indeed. The songs of Celine and esspecially the end with pour que tu m'aimes encoregot me a lump in my throat and in tears..You know what, it might not have been long that Rene and Celine were with each other and I hear some people talking about age-dfference. But what does age matter when a love is so great and deep. One can only hope to have a love like these two people have for each other. A love so strong and so beautiful. They took everything out of life and enjoyed great years with each other and got wonderful children with each other. Sad it had to end this soon. Skye Posted January 23, 2016 at 04:21 PM Posted January 23, 2016 at 04:21 PM I mean, on one side, you know it's bound to happen but on the other, you are never really. We all knew it was possible he dies long before her due to the age difference but still, I guess you can never be prepared. And again, we don't know how much they talked and how she deals with pain. Some people needs to get active and having young children makes you side the ""bright"" side of life quite fast again as children don't dwell on that - especially the twins, aged 5. In few years they will forget all of their first memories. So if she wants to be back at work in February, she can, if she doesn't want, she doesn't have to. I know it will take a long time for her to be back to normal even though normal was always involving Rene by her side, but thankfully they have beautiful children and hope. But I think, yes, she won't have anyone else in her life. I know she can live another 30 years without him but I can't see her with anyone else, but somehow I hope I am wrong, 10 years down the road. 3 Quote

beelee Posted January 23, 2016 at 04:40 PM Posted January 23, 2016 at 04:40 PM Even in death, René has introduced new fans to Céline's music. Her songs and albums are all over iTunes Canada. 7 Quote
Popular Post Philippe Posted January 23, 2016 at 04:55 PM Popular Post Posted January 23, 2016 at 04:55 PM (edited) I couldn't be more proud of Céline. I adore her as singer and I adore her even more as human being. I feel like I've always underestimated her for some reason, but she, once again, proved me wrong. I've always figured out that their couple was based on Celine being the heart and René the brain. But Thursday and Friday, she was the heart and the brain! She was well put together, showing to her kids how to face death with dignity. She's now left alone with those 3 kids and I'm wishing her all the best. Her roots will help her to face the future more than ever. Just like the whole world, I've discovered RC yesterday. What a wonderful young man. Always by his mom's side but with a constant eye on the casket, just like he wanted to make sure René was ok for his last journey. I guess he has been through a lot the past year. I hope he has the help that he needs. On the last note, (and that may sound selfish) but I was kind of relieved to hear him speak with such a strong french accent. I was scared that he would be more american than québécois since he was born and raised in the USA. Looking at him act and speak made me realize that he couldn't be more québécois than that. I know all the québécois here will understand me. We love you Céline and please take the time that it will take to heal. We'll wait for you, no matter how long it will take.
