I just want her to drop the two medleys for the tour. I'm fine with all the other songs. Those two medleys are overused and in my opinion, they don't work the same as they do in Vegas. The intimate setting of the Colosseum helps to capture the energy and visuals, but as seen on USF, it didn't work as well.

Anyway, I don't remember the exact source, but I saw on Facebook that Céline would perform 5 brand new songs from her upcoming french album (includind "Encore Un Soir" and "Ordinaire") + 3 covers ; "Hymne à l'Amour", "Avec le Temps" and "Je Suis Malade")

 

That's only rumours. But... This would be epic... and possible..

While we're eagerly awaiting for these concerts to begin, I think it's important to keep in mind Celine's had a ROUGH year. It's a pretty easy for us to sit behind our computers and wish for more, but I think Celine's resilience should be celebrated and acknowledged.

 

Remember, after Rene's passing...

She continued performing her shows in Vegas.

She performed an incredible performance as Icon recipient at the Billboard Music Awards.

She released a new French single.

She recorded and will soon be releasing an entirely new French album.

She will be part of the Today Show concert summer concert series in NYC.

 

I am just thrilled that she will be giving concerts outside of Vegas this year. It's amazing that she would even consider doing so much work so soon after Rene's passing. So I don't really see the need to dwell on setlists or "laziness", etc. Even if she did a setlist identical to Vegas, the woman IS NOT lazy.

 

She just ended a run of shows in Vegas last night, and she will soon be putting on a new series of concerts.

 

While I would LOVE for Celine to sing all new songs or at least have some new arrangements, I think we should remember her personal circumstances and cut her some slack. Just relax and enjoy. We're getting plenty of new material and performances this year!

All we know is that Scott said she'll be rehearsing in Montreal a few weeks before the tour... So she'll probably go to Montréal this week and sometime next week over to Europe. I think she's probably used to the time change now with the amount of times she goes over!

As much as I would love, just like you guys, to hear new songs, we have to keep in mind that Céline's show will be for the general public. It's not everybody that is a fan, which knows what songs have been performed previously. She knows her public and knows what they want to hear. I don't think it's the appropriate venue to experiment on tour, while she can do whatever she wants in Vegas. I guess, that is the bad side of being a fan. The anglophone songs, as of now, are:

• Medley: IACBTMN / TPOL

• All By Myself

• Medley: LCMM / RDMH

• MHWGO

• I'm Alive

• TSMGO

 

Additional info from the rehearsal setlist:

• Encore un soir is NOT opening the show, but is being rehearsed.

• L'hymne isn't on the setlist

• MHWGO will precede PQTME, which is the encore.

• There is a water feature in the show as of now, and may not be present at the Belgium and Paris shows.

 

EUS was rehearsed at the Colosseum before the show on May 24th.

They need to drop the IACBTMN/POL Medley...she did it on her last tour, but it's lipped so it will never be dropped. Ever.

Ok so the English set will be almost the same as the previous tour! That's soooo annoying and BORING!

I truly wish the skipped the IACBTM/TPOL medley and ABM! YUCK YUCK YUCK getting so tired of these songs, especially ABM. They should include songs recorded AFTER 2000!!!

 

and for the one who said it's a show also for general public: so what?! RM wasn't a single, it wasn't performed in 17 years time, but still the crowd LOVED it! this was bad translation. The original article in French said that Scott Price is working on 5 songs for her ALBUM, meaning that it's not necessarily for the tour

I have nothing much to add to the more than reasonable complaints here, only that this confirms Céline's artistry on stage is long gone. She became a copycat of herself at this point

 

If these are the English songs to be performed, I was about to say that I just hoped the French repertoire would make up for this BIG disappointment but... according to past experiences, we can now image how far they'll go with the French songs to include: besides the 4-5 new songs, it will be DUAM, Destin, Terre, Je sais pas and all those

 

I can't make it to the concerts because I'll be doing an work stay abroad, but this kind of news certainly don't help a long-time fan to go to her concerts. I'd rather put Une seule fois DVD, or for what's worth, any of the past DVDs she's been releasing since Live in Memphis 1997... ........... Time capsule!

That excuse of saying the general public wants to hear these songs has been used for many years. I take for example Madonna: does she bring the same songs and medleys each year? No she makes a new setlist each year or reinvents her older songs. But Celine sings the same songs like everytime again. No matter her situation or circumstances.

They have told at the beginning it is a hits tour. POL ABM is huge hits in France. And in a concert always I want to hear old favourite hits even knowing about lipsync and it isn't important. LCMM not my favourite but it is the choice of Celine. And if to you boringly and causes vomiting, just don't go to Céline's concerts. Sorry for this words. I love IACBTMN/POL, ABM, RDMH and I want to hear these songs at a concert always!!!

A new concert needs to be something new. Otherwise it is like going to the same show for the #teenth time. It is no excuse and not creative at all. If you want to hear those hits you can listen and watch a coeur du stade live in memphis taking chances worldtour and une seule fois. Oh and you can watch her vegas shows. It is time for fresh material.

I do not think there are so many new people in the shows. Also many people who have seen her before. How can you ever evolve if you are stuck in pleasing a mainstream audience. Why can madonna or whoever change setlists all time and still satisfy crowds?

Anyone blaming Celine here, and only Celine, is being very unfair. We all know that Celine likes to turn up, sing and then leave as quickly as possible. We all know the songs she is comfortable singing. Is anyone approaching Celine with new ideas and song suggestions? If not they are not doing the job they are being paid to do! Why have a musical director who doesn't come up with new ideas? Acoustic set in Vegas? Brilliant! Bring THAT on tour!

 

Yes Celine could be more artistic but she PAYS other people to design her stage, lighting and yes, probably, set lists too! Really really unfair just blaming Celine here. She has management and a musical director for these things. THEY are the ones totally out of touch with what a fresh, current and interesting set list looks like.

Lol I don't mind TPOL etc being part of any concert she does. I just want a new playback now - if it's not gonna be live. It was great in 2011 when they merged IACBTMN / TPOL. It freshened it up. It needs it again. I would love (if they're keeping it together) for it to be re recorded and for the "Lost is how I'm feeling" bit to be included in TPOL and for a different section of IACBTMN to be used. It's a loooonnnnggggg song for crying out loud 😂 show off a different part of it.
