LukeD Posted May 12, 2016 at 04:34 AM Posted May 12, 2016 at 04:34 AM Shoulda, coulda, woulda' aside but why the hell wasn't I Surrender THE COMEBACK single?? Or a single period?! It's probably her biggest non-single/released hit. I just don't get why this song was never released, like its a no brainer. Goodbye's The Saddest Word? Like even the title of the song is depressing. OyeI think AC charts would have eaten I Surrender! To me it is THE ballad of the album (and of the 00s too) and Sorry For Love its best dance song. Both of them deserved to be singles. Goodbye (The Saddest Word), At Last and Aun Existe Amor not so much... 3 Quote

CelinesDIVO5 Posted May 12, 2016 at 05:47 AM Posted May 12, 2016 at 05:47 AM "Sorry For Love" should have been the 3rd and final single. It could have been Celine's "Believe" and also a catalyst to what would have come from "I Drove All Night." It would have been the perfect follow up and probably would have performed better in the charts had it followed "Sorry For Love" as a dance single. 4 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

Danystar Posted May 12, 2016 at 07:25 AM Posted May 12, 2016 at 07:25 AM Which concerts? There are many released on DVD, some on VHS, one in Bluray, and some that remain unreleased in any format, but hopefully will see the light of day at some point (Olympia concert in 1994) http://www.powerofth...c.com/dvds.html If you mean the concerts from the upcoming mini tour, I'm sure they will be shooting them and release a DVD again, probably when the French album is ready in autumn or for Christmas. Of course I mean upcoming French Tour. I know all that. But will be so cool, to have 2 dvd from Accorhotels Arena and Centre Videotron!!! It's my DREAM but I think it's not real! If we're contact Aldo, may be 2 dvd will come. Quote

LukeD Posted May 12, 2016 at 01:09 PM Posted May 12, 2016 at 01:09 PM A good thing is that Celine included some old fan favorite songs to the Sans Attendre tour. I hope she makes a similar effort this time, she could go for: - Le Ballet- Priere Paienne- Zora Sourit- Sous Le Vent- Je T'aime Encore- Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une (Je Serais Celle-la)- A Cause / On S'est Aime A Cause ... and she should also sing at least 2 songs from Sans Attednre that became such a huge album for her career. I don't want it to be treated like 1F&T or D'elles. 5 Quote
isurrender Posted May 12, 2016 at 03:32 PM Posted May 12, 2016 at 03:32 PM Only Javito could bring back these nice discussions ANDHC was a good seller, a hit I would say, it was the 7 or 8 best selling album that year but it underperformed for Celine standards, the industry was expecting much more, probably was the choice of the third single or the fact tha music taste had already changed from the 90s, but Vegas is not to blame for Celine's declining chart performance (singles mainly), in fact, for today standards I would consider SA and LMBTL similar hits to ANDHC in many markets WW ANDHC was the third biggest selling album of the year. I think it's interesting to see how the female singer (Shakira) who beated her that year declined (albumwise at least) more than Céline despite all the opportunities she got. Her last album released more or less @ the same period of LMBTL included a duet with Rihanna and the soundtrack of the World Cup and still... it sold less than Céline's one ( but it was already the case with One heart and the follow up of Shakira's 2002 album). Still I don't understand how a singer as Shakira whose career has been declining ever since 2002 got all those chances. There's definitely something wrong with Céline's team or Céline herself when it comes to accepting or refusing proposals ...or I don't know. The last example to date : Shakira ( so the singer who sold less albums than Céline the last 13 years!) sang the last Disney's song while Céline ended up singing the soundtrack for a small animated movie at the same time. Same goes for Incredible vs La la la ( world cup 2014). Same goes for Rihanna vs Neyo. They only sent it to AC stations and refused to send it to Top 40. That was Sony's PR team in charge of releasing her singles. It was Sony's fault for not pushing the song. Sony's fault for spotty promotion. Sony's fault. Sony's fault. Sony's fault. Well, Sia's songs have not been more successfull for Beyonce or Aguilera. lol 1 Quote

And it was released in March which helped it have a full run. I think it is interesting that the lowest selling albums of other female singers have sold less than Celine's lowest selling album (LMBTL sales of 1.6m). And for sales Ault this point, that's very good. It could've done better in the US, Japan and Germany, which probably would've taken it to 2.5mil if done correctly. But, all in all, I think it was a very successful album for war they did with it. Also to outsell current acts such as Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and on par with Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and Katy Perry's last albums. Where are her other peers again? The album was included in a newspaper (all major greek singers release their albums this way the past 7 years or so) and the newspaper sold around 100k copies here. The US sales is the only issue I find. Had it sold above 500k there and nobody would complain. Céline can definitely have a best seller with her next English album. If she sticks to what she's known for, bring something new like Videos, pick legit singles to promote, promote them, release the album on time, no delays, perform at the big events, get backing from SONY, although not really social media active, the platform does work wonders, radio deal, a mini world tour. I think all this included with what they usually do will construct a very well received album. 1 Quote
browseceline Posted May 12, 2016 at 09:57 PM Posted May 12, 2016 at 09:57 PM just came back from a fantastic concert , Anastacia in my town:-) What I really liked of Anastacia is that she gives her fans the chance to choose a song they want her to sing at the concert via a special Anastacia fan-app. So she did a song from her album that she never performed live! Wish Celine did such things too! 6 Quote <iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hl2XkxnYljg" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

browseceline Posted May 12, 2016 at 10:30 PM Posted May 12, 2016 at 10:30 PM well - from what I heard she gave the fans the choice between 3 songs. I truly think she was suppose to do something with the '08 Olympics because why did they air an instrumental of Incredible on NBC with the Olympics rings and their new fall shows lineup?? And the fact that they took the time to make an actual music video for Incredible versus not for LBTL. 2 Quote
