I never saw a full list of clean and clear previews, just random songs here and there, and mostly not the best sound quality.

I really like this! Sounds quite folksy, if a little atypical.

2 - L'étoile

 

I want to love this but WTH have they done to her voice during the chorus? Love the beat and her voice sounds quite amazing [2002-ish] during the verses.

 

I do actually love this tbh - even the choruses.

3 - Ma faille

 

THIS. IS. AMAZING. This was an early favourite of mine based on the clips I heard and it really doesn't disappoint. The little breaks between verse-chorus are cute but I'd prefer it without them. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the chorus - I'm sure I can hear a very faint crack in her voice at 03:20.

6 - Les yeux au ciel

 

THIS. IS AMAZING. Favourite so far - chorus is brilliant. Only gripe is the echo effect thingy they put on a couple of lines during the verses. I love how her voice sounds at the end - when she makes use of her lower register in French, it sounds so much nicer.

OMG OMG did you guys hear "Te Sauras"? I'm in looooove with that song! should be a single!

 

It has a wilde jungle kind of vibe, similar to my faile, very exotic, could be from a Pocahontas movie. I looove it!

8 - Ordinaire

 

It had so much potential. It sort of plods along until the last two big notes. There's also something very off with how they've aligned her vocals with the melody - and then a random guitar solo that lasts a few seconds that comes back randomly for 2 seconds. The song works in so much as the last 90 seconds save it.

9 - Te Sauras

 

WTF - where did this come from?! The choruses have so much bass. This is definitely potentially a very good single - everything from 2:00 onwards is absolutely stunning. Everything from the beautiful falsetto sounds she makes during the chorus to the music being stripped right back towards the end. Probably my 2nd favourite so far.

10 - Toutes ces choses

 

Her voice sounds so gorgeous - another beautiful piano led ballad.This is what I hoped to get on the album - her voice almost quivers towards the end of the song. Really beautiful.

I wonder why there are so many negative opinions about the new album.

 

I just listend to the previews and it sounds gorgeous to me. Not as "heavy" as SA. That album was definitely too heavy for me and I never listen to it. This one seems more light, fresh and modern. Definitely something new to enjoy! (Apart from the first song, I don't like that one). Cannot wait to buy my copy on Friday.

12 - À la plus haute branche

 

The song I most anticipated closes the album - from the very first time I heard this, I professed it to be amongst the greatest songs she's ever recorded and I believe that to be the case so much more now. The whistling gave me major goosebumps. I can't work out what the other instrument is during the verse leading into the chorus - guitar or harp?

 

What happens at 03:25 - is that a technical blip or intentional?

 

If she ever performs this live on French TV, game over for everyone else.

 

Overall, I am leaning towards a 4/5 for the album; not as strong as Sans attendre on first listen but some stunning tracks nonetheless.
