Angel2006 Posted August 24, 2016 at 07:49 AM Posted August 24, 2016 at 07:49 AM I know that I'm going to end up purchasing both, the standard version and the deluxe version of Celine's new album. I have come to this conclusion because I have always purchased both versions up to this point, so it would feel strange and un fan like if I suddenly didn't get both. Also, I just like having the standard version, because it fits in my CD stand, along with my entire Celine collection. LOL. I like having the deluxe version just to say that I have it and also because of the extra songs. I also can't stand not knowing if there are any differences between the two, when it comes to amount of pictures and stuff like that. The pictures that come with the album is one of my favorite parts, so I don't want to miss out on any possible extra pictures that could be only available in the deluxe, or visa versa. It might be a little more expensive and not really worth it in the end, but the ultimate fan in me just has to break down and buy both versions. 3 Quote
Ronny83 Posted August 24, 2016 at 07:49 AM Posted August 24, 2016 at 07:49 AM Guys, could you please wait until Friday? Buying the album now is illegal, and the copies won't be counted for the first week sales. C'mon, it's only 2 days away. 4 Quote The Celine Dion Italian fanbase - CelineDionItalia.com
Angel2006 Posted August 24, 2016 at 08:02 AM Posted August 24, 2016 at 08:02 AM I agree. Come on guys. Is it really that hard to wait a few more days? Has today's world become so spoiled and inpatient that we can't wait just this little while longer? I already called my local music store today and they are going to have my standard and deluxe version put aside, ready and waiting for me. It feels much more exciting and gratifying to wait in my opinion, knowing that I did it the true fan, old school way. 3 Quote

Javito Posted August 24, 2016 at 09:02 AM Posted August 24, 2016 at 09:02 AM (edited) Btw guys I don't know if you are completely aware but we're going through one of Celine's busiest summers ever. 2016 summer has been one her most active summers of her career (if not the most). We've been since May through a non-stop series of public appearances, including an award show, TV shows with performances and interviews, lots of press and pressence in the media everywhere, a packed tour and now a new album calling at our doors ... And most of the fans attending the first shows without barely knowing we would have a full studio album released before the tour ends. I mean, as if the tour wasn't enough, as if the great surprises of the new songs performed -both old and new- weren't enough, we have also a new album coming within less than 48 hours, and the tour is still running. How many times has that happened during a summer? How many more times will that happen? I doubt we see much more summers as exciting as this one and with such amount of activity and such a hype around Celine. I wish they had documented all and everything about her frenetic activity since May in a DVD for the fans. It's been like a resurrection for her, she's been back to work in a record time with all she could offer and more: new album, new tour (and what a new tour -at last!-), TV shows, interviews, photoshoots, front covers in fashion magazines... And more to come for sure, since the promotion for the album in TV is about to start in September. Summer of 2016 will be so much remembered for Celine fans, and we will miss it next year I'm sure! Javito Posted August 24, 2016 at 09:27 AM Posted August 24, 2016 at 09:27 AM (edited) Though looking her CD booklets is still the same feeling as leafing through a fashion magazine... Oh well If she's happy with that photographer to the point of making a second photoshoot with the same one and posing like that for her music albums... guess there's not much to do about that. But for me, this part of the project is void of any creativity at all. Those pictures tell me nothing, and I can't find any relation between those pictures and the songs and the themes on the album sorry The Elle magazine photoshoot had more artistry than this. She'd better do knitting commercials and fashion adverts with Alix Malka, than creating pictures for her music. Edited August 24, 2016 at 09:29 AM by Javito 3 Quote "Hush, now... Javito Posted August 24, 2016 at 09:38 AM Posted August 24, 2016 at 09:38 AM Apart from the fact she looks AMAZING! I love these photos! That's not the question, of course she looks amazing! She looks great. But do they suit a music album? Nope. They're totally disconnected with the songs and the general themes. The fact is they don't pay any attention to the cohesion of a music album as a whole product. Music pictures in an album can be associated and illustrate the songs and the feelings within them. Lots of artists pay attention to these details; Céline doen't. They don't give a damn if she's taking pictures for the next upteenth magazine or her next music project. And to me, as an artist, that's a fail sorry. They should care about this (especially, they could!). She has the money and the time to take a little more time to come up with some originality and creativity and make a decent photoshoot that has some connection with her music in some way 4 Quote "Hush, now... Celine Fan 77 Posted August 24, 2016 at 09:55 AM Posted August 24, 2016 at 09:55 AM (edited) As Céline says on Ordinaire, The more an artist gives, the more the public wants... It's only normal but yeah, I agree with Javito on that point. I think the last time she did a photoshoot for an album that had some kind of connection with the music on that album was back in 2007 for 'D'elles'. I think it's time to go back to that, specially in French! Her French career has always had that personal, original and artistic touch that her English one lacks. I don't need to have the album to say that I didn't like these pictures since they were released, which was months ago You call it moaning, I call it simply an observation related to the creative skills of her team, which they're still failing at them when it comes to pictures. Celine's album photos were always like this, so I don't get the surprise and anger. That's so wrong, Céline's album pictures have never been that much like this, as if she was posing permanently for fashion photographers to appear in a magazine. It's only in the last decade that Céline's team became obsessed with black and white pictures for her album covers, and photoshoots with nobackgrounds nor sceneries behind her. It's crazy thinking Sony will invest the same money as before, having specific photoshoots, they need to optimize so I totally understand they do a big one session and then use the photos for different purposes. Sooner than later we won't even have physical albums anymore. But I like the EUS booklet and the cover is one of her best. Btw you just reminded me now how much I love the TATST photoshoot. 6 Quote
