"Courage" album - Official Topic

I don't who to blame, what to blame..who went wrong..what went wrong. It is quite obvious that the album was flop considering her other albums (god even Miracle, the unknown album is more successful). But Courage needs the promo..and if TEAM CELINE or SONY cannot provide it, we fans have to. If Cher fans, Britney fans and for god sakes Mariah fans can do it, why can't we?

 

I don't see any reason saying that we shouldn't help in this project. I mean Come on, the young fans are enthusiastically participating, we should too, and since we have nothing to do for a long time(some everything is either cancelled , posteponed or waiting to get out of the vault), better get involved with anything. I don't think I can provide more motivation to the hidden people here.😉

But you forget that it is also natural that courage sold less than albums released 17 years ago. When miracle was released, Celine was still more in the position that more people bought her albums, I mean it wasn't more than 7 years after MHWGO. I don't want to argue because your point is valid, but if I may, Celine was at her another peak in Courage era, from 2016 onwards she has been a highlight in almost all media. They missed a chance, we missed a chance.

She had promo booked for the UK in late 2019 that Sony UK arranged and instead of being in NYC she was supposed to be at the listening party in the UK to kick of that promo tour.

 

So she was going to hop on a plane in the middle of her tour, spend a week promoting the album in Europe, then head back to North America to resume her tour?

Interesting…

 

So why not promote the album & tour in the States, where she was actively touring? Seems illogical —or, at the very least, ridiculous to expect her to cover that much ground in just a week or two.

Canadian Thanksgiving is more than a month earlier and it’s not the big deal in Canada that it is in the US. People don’t generally travel across the country to see family. It’s just a fancier-than-usual Monday night dinner, and for most it’s just like any other day off work.

Maybe she was FINALLY gong to appear on the Graham Norton show. Seems we will have to wait even more for that. That is the setting I am dying to see Celine in.

Exactly. That’s why you don’t understand. You already bought the album. If not, you can just stream it. Same you paid for the songs by subscribing but sometimes the streaming music has a lot to offer. Better quality and has Dolby Atmos feature.

 

That’s why even though I already bought the album on iTunes. I still stream it on Apple Music because it’s in Lossless quality and for the updated album (Falling Into You) it has now Dolby Atmos. I hope they will continue to update and remaster Céline’s album. And I enjoyed this features and better sounds.

 

But also it can with the streaming numbers? For the artist you follow. Just for support. Well, no one is forcing anyone to stream.

Celine’s fan base is very different than Mariah’s for example (as one person pointed out).

 

However people don’t realize the difference. Mariah as an artist cares about success in 2021, Celine simply doesn’t. Fan bases take lead from their “leader” ( in this case, the artist they follow.) why should we the fans promote her work more than she and her does?!

 

The big difference being Celine still sells out huge venues and Mariah can’t. So Mariah focuses more on her music and numbers and the only numbers Celine cares about now are the number of tickets sold. As a fan, I’d love Celine to have hits again but I’m not going to promote a artist who doesn’t even care to promote herself. Celine asks fans to buy concert tickets and we answer the call always.

She’s fine with it and I’ve learned to be now too.

Exactly and I’m just explaining why they’re doing it and yet you gave me an attitude. If you really don’t want to be part of it then don’t.

 

Don’t use excuses like “why would i pay subscriptions blah blah” not everyone here buys anymore a physical cd like me that’s why we transferred to streaming and since we are in a streaming era. This is one way we can support her music more.
