Indeed, I love when Celine does low notes like in Look At Us Now or Wicked Game.

 

 

She should sing more songs where there is no high notes, i.e., an easy song to sing for common people in the bathroom lmao. Love her belts, but lurve her non belting songs✨

 

Agreed. Somehow, for her English career, her team (and a certain Sony exec) thinks there should be a high note in évery song (this really bothered me with the TC album).

Though 'Courage' (I think) is the English album with the least high notes/screams..

Nobody's Watching would be one of my favourite songs of hers recently, but the inclusion of the word "Belieber" totally takes me out of it....and some of the pronunciation ofc, but why that cringe reference?

Totally agree. At first I thought she sang : I want to party like a believer :giggle: but no, maybe she thought it was cool to have a reference in the lyrics to some younger artist. But still, i love this jam, it is fresh and makes me think of Adele's Oh My God.

I wouldn’t say she looks “amazing” she’s looks old and thin here, nevertheless, we should get to see the video.

Heavy makeup usually makes her look older. She was on the thinner side during this time but also quite muscular.

Off topic, but was listening to Dermot O'Leary's show on BBC Radio 2 this morning. He is currently playing a Celine song each week for the autumn. Couldn't believe my ears hearing La Voix du Bon Dieu this morning! Radio 2 are focusing on debut albums this weekend so someone really did their homework on that one. Doubt many people listening could ever have heard the song before.

This reminds me of my post yearssss ago about Céline’s new image coming in her 50’s. I was comparing her to Madonna when she was coming at her age of 50 which is a bit skinny but muscular side.

Judging by how skinny she looked, it might have been a good decision.

 

I'm more bummed about the EUS video being axed! That had good potential! And the song deserves a real video clip!

But wasn’t the Courage, Imperfections and Lying Down music videos all filmed over the same few days at the same studio in August 2019 were they also shot pics and videos for the tour and program, so that don’t make sense as a reason but that dress is literally hanging from her and is not flattering at all.

 

Although she usually has atleast two different outfits in a video so the other choice has to have been better and could have featured through out it if that was the reason…

After almost 3 years, Courage is firmly in my top 3 English Celine albums of all time. I still listen to it frequently; it's been the gift that keeps on giving. So thankful that she released this album!

I quite believe that she's done something to her nose that impacted on her voice.

Second, most of the producers of this time are too technology-oriented and maybe they can't handle a voice (when in top shape or when rightly used) like her.

Third, she use to sound much like the artist that made the demo of the song (in Boundaries she's singing like the author of the song) so this could change the way she sings.
