It was posted on his previous Instagram page. He talks about Celine’s “courage”, in February 2016. Where they recording Play Me Like a Love Song? Maybe yes... Maybe it was for Recovering or The Show Must Go On? Since that year was her most painful year for her that’s why Humberto said that about courage Quote
Celinelife Posted July 16, 2021 at 01:43 PM Posted July 16, 2021 at 01:43 PM A Joke don't take it seriously. I think Celine already knew about Covid. The way at the end of her Boston show in 2019 she said, "Please be safe going home". Then at Jimmy Fallon's she said,"a lot of people go through tough times.." Lol. Quote

She’s been saying the “be safe going home” thing since Cleveland, months before Covid was known about as a threat. I think she likes using that line before singing “Imagine”. Quote

sarit_celine Posted July 26, 2021 at 11:09 PM Posted July 26, 2021 at 11:09 PM I wonder so far what song from Courage has the most views/streaming numbers? And when we will hearabout a new album Lying down transforms so well in live performance, who cares if she can't hit well one note there, kudosfor her trying to sing it live. For the last months I hear this one a lot and it has for sure grown on me. They could release a live edited version. As far as lyrics this is one of her strongest among the English albums. I guess we will not hear yet the new album since Courage is still being promoted by Touring… Lying down is one of my fave performance of her in Courage World Tour. It sounds powerful and the visuals/lightings were amazing!! I wish they will put it back in the setlist.. again. They should because she’s now recovered from her throat infection. She’s been singing this song when she was still sick. Edited July 27, 2021 at 02:22 AM by jpatdeleon09 2 Quote

On YouTube, “Imperfections” has the most views so far (almost 10 million for the official video and around 2 million for the audio) but “Lying Down” may soon surpass it (also nearing 10 million and appearing to be growing faster). From this perspective, it is a shame they didn’t include “Ashes” on the album as we would have had one 100+ million views song on Courage. I agree about “Lying Down” being performed live. It’s one of the songs on the album which works best on stage, certainly much better than its replacement in the show, “Imperfections”. 3 Quote The best is yet to come...

Celinelife Posted July 27, 2021 at 02:50 PM Posted July 27, 2021 at 02:50 PM Even on Spotify, Imperfections has the most views. I guess that's cuz Imperfections is very listener-friendly song and that everyone can relate to it. It's beat is uplifting. And the repetition of the lines really makes us remember the song even more. 1 Quote

And the repetition of the lines really makes us remember the song even more. It’s because it was featured on curated playlists. That always results in a multiple bump vs non-playlisted album tracks. The placement on said playlists (and on album) also has an impact (though less so).But bottom line, it has more to do with the marketing than the song itself. Quote

The placement on said playlists (and on album) also has an impact (though less so).But bottom line, it has more to do with the marketing than the song itself. I don’t believe this to be true. If you have the entire album to the radio station they would probably choose it over any other track on the album. Whether you like it or not in 2019 or 2021 it’s the most “radio friendly” song on the album. Hence why it was on playlists and “marketed” the most. Quote
scielle Posted July 27, 2021 at 11:00 PM Posted July 27, 2021 at 11:00 PM I don’t believe this to be true. It is, and there’s empirical data to support it. Quote
Nmj Posted July 27, 2021 at 11:44 PM Posted July 27, 2021 at 11:44 PM It is, and there’s empirical data to support it. “Imperfections” is the most “radio friendly” song on that album, point blank. It doesn’t have to be any person here’s favorite, but it just is. Streaming services listen to albums and choose the songs they believe fit today’s music most and “imperfections” overwhelmingly was that track, with “Lovers Never Die” in a distant second. So yes there is some truth to what you said, but that is “BECAUSE of the song itself”, and the year and era the song and album was released. Quote
Celinelife Posted July 28, 2021 at 03:23 AM Posted July 28, 2021 at 03:23 AM Courage is just too emotional to be listened everyday...and not everyone loves that high notes and all in Lying Down and The Hard Way kind of songs. But Imperfections,it's just simple. Quote

So yes there is some truth to what you said, but that is “BECAUSE of the song itself”, and the year and era the song and album was released. Sorry, but this is incredibly naive. I'm not saying you're wrong about Imperfections possibly being the most current and commercial track on the album - it likely was; hence its release as a single, live promotion, and the production of a video. But streaming services are businesses - they don't assess artistic merit or "choose the songs" based on whether they're good or not; they go where the money is. Playlist placement isn't arbitrary and doesn't just happen without label support. Combined with automated, programmatic, algorithmic optimization, this defines what tracks are fed to passive listeners and how frequently, which tends to result in self-perpetuating and exponential streams, and ultimately defines what does well. Streaming services, with industry support, have done a great job of presenting consumers with the illusion of choice and convincing them they have a role in the democratization of musical success, when in reality the services' stranglehold on success is far greater now than radio and the labels enjoyed at the height of payola or the later conglomeratization of the radio format. I hope that these numbers will make her bring LD back.Imo, she really loves to sing "Imperfections" live, and seems to really connect with itand until that happens with one of her own songs, I really love to see that As far as "Ashes" it seems they thought it had it moment and wouldn't help promotion-wise. Those 4 notes they sing in the background... listen closely they are more prominent starting at 2:04 .. Imagine a stripped down version starting with just those 4 notes with a big choir. 4 Quote

Aline is rolling out. Celine’s new Vegas residency will hopefully come with some new Celine interviews — and we’ll probably have tons of fan recordings of the concert posted on YouTube. & some fans were able to hear those Phil Spector recordings this year.
