"Courage" album - Official Topic

I think this might have been intended for the Instagram commercial and maybe there was a scene where she was first driving to the castle, but it was cut and they just showed her inside the castle

 

I think it may have been intended as a CWT show intro or interlude, judging by the look. And if that’s the case, I’m glad they decided to use her dance interlude instead. It’s definitely one of the highlights and I hope we see more like it.

Alanis won in the AC category tonight. That was probably Céline’s best chance since she’s up against The Weeknd in the other categories.

I love all the versions. I think Katy could have made this a hit, but the original recording is beautiful too. It's one of my favourites off the album.

According to what I found, Maty Noyes wrote the song when she was 17 in 2016....probably Celine's youngest songwriter ever! But Maty was working already with Stephan Moccio who did Courage/ANDHC....and the article also pointed out that Stephan Moccio works with The Weeknd also. Never knew that.

yes, or a live performance for Vevo by these two. It would generate buzz. Look at JLO, she is everywhere with her stuff, and she doesn't do albums any more, just a few singles every now and then. AND she can't even sing! Yet, she constantly gets tons of attention, becuase they know how to market her right. And now look at Celine, they couldn't even market her right for two weeks in a row when Courage was released. It's a shame. I think it's all a matter of the budget that the label released for the album, which I don't think is much to judge from there being no promotion.

it's a shame, it's a good album, it has great songs, even the LD video will be shelved.

True! But she "only" had 5 or so looks in that, and all of it was in black and white....and it's not really the upbeat, fun vibe that I am imagining. She doesn't really smile in that video.

I always think that the reason they didn't promote Courage was to promote another album coming which would have french or unreleased Courage songs. But then, I thought that Courage was very important album for Celine, it had a connection to her. Then why can't they promote it.

I've been wondering if they would release a "One Heart" type album with leftovers from Courage for the Vegas show launch. But, last time it was because it was her first show and so they needed the sponsorship money from Chrysler. (Which is why she recorded I Drove All Night.)

 

I'm betting the Dianne Warren album gets pushed to a November release and Celine's song is the first single released from it sometime in October. Since this song is on another person's album, we have a decent shot at it actually being promoted. Dianne and her label may just be willing to shell out the cash for a video and publicity like what happened with Ashes.

The song is cheesy enough for these ideas to work. I think it would be a fun, quirky music video for Celine.
