ryba Posted March 12, 2021 at 02:02 PM Posted March 12, 2021 at 02:02 PM That would be AMAZING. And not entirely impossible. They did release There Comes A Time a year after it was dropped from TCI think it will be the sound track for that new movie with her 2 Quote
smw Posted March 12, 2021 at 08:10 PM Posted March 12, 2021 at 08:10 PM (edited) I also feel like Play Me Like A Love Song will be released as part of Text for You. Did we ever learn if it was initially recorded as a potential Bond theme? And then they went with Billie instead. Or was that all speculation?I remember Humberto hinting that it was going to come out around Valentine's Day in 2020.But then silence. I wonder what the plan was. Regardless, if it was recorded for a Bond movie or for the Courage album or for some other reason... right now, it's just sitting.Based on the clip we heard, it's a marvelous song with beautiful vocals. So I imagine Celine and her team will want to get it out there in some way.And Text for You would be a perfect opportunity. Clearly, Celine Dion and movie songs are a winning combination. Since Sam Heughan mentioned that the movie will probably come out "next year", I wonder if Text for You will be a Valentine's Day movie. Edited March 12, 2021 at 08:12 PM by smw Quote

smw Posted March 12, 2021 at 08:45 PM Posted March 12, 2021 at 08:45 PM (edited) About Celine's voice, we all know it's not the same it used to be, voice ages too and that's fine. But in EUS she does exactly what I expect her to do, singing more in her natural tone, accepting her news limitations and finding new ways of sounding beautiful without excess. Isn't it fascinating that she can still sound so crystalline to this very day and yet she can sound quite a bit different on her albums? There are moments in the Courage tour... like when she sings The Prayer that are jaw dropping. She still sounds so fluid. I remember when I heard the 2004 Live in Vegas album where I was terrified that this would be how Celine sounded from now on. Then, in 2011, when she launched the Celine Vegas show -- she sounded like she did in the 90s. So you really never know with her! This current break might be incredibly restorative for her voice. So exciting. When was the last time Celine was nominated at the Junos? And wouldn't we all be complaining if she got snubbed? So it’s to be expected. 2/3 of these nominations are based on sales, and Courage sold well in Canada thanks to the ticket bundle. 2 Quote

I remember when I heard the 2004 Live in Vegas album where I was terrified that this would be how Celine sounded from now on. Then, in 2011, when she launched the Celine Vegas show -- she sounded like she did in the 90s. Exactly. When i heard her live for the first time back in 2018 (Asian Tour). I was really shocked that in person she really sounds better compared to the fancams we are watching. It sounded so clear, her voice was so clear. I remember there was this part in IACBTMN (the ending part where she’s doing the adlibs) where all in the audience were like WOAH. and i got goosebumps. She have this note that can give you goosebumps even if it’s not a super high note. This part 6:05-6:10 That’s why don’t listen to fancams. Because it decreases the quality of her voice. It’s really better on Live being there in person. Comparison to other concerts that i went to Madonna’s concert (Rebel Heart Tour 2016) It has the same sound quality that Céline were using. The vocals were very clear. But the singing of course were not as great compared to Céline. But still good. There was this part of the concert where she sang a french song with her ukelele and it was an amazing moment and it almost made me cry. Mariah Carey’s concert (2014 The elusive chanteuse show) This is bit bad review for me because the sound is not so clear. Like they are replicating the sound of a reverb being too far instead of being forward and clear. That’s why i can barely hear Mariah’s voice. It’s a bit soft and far compared to Céline’s and Madonna’s where it sounded so forward and clear. It’s like they’re doing that to match her studio pre recorded vocals. Mariah’s version of pre recorded vocals are like in her cds where it sounded far with too much reverb to have this kind of resonance. Studio sounds That’s why when listening it on fancams (you can obviously hear the switching of live vocals to pre recorded vocals) I didn’t enjoy actually in this concert compared to Madonna’s and Céline’s but If I will pick whose concert was the best for me (best prod, etc.) it will be Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour then, Céline. ordinary fan Posted March 14, 2021 at 09:54 PM Posted March 14, 2021 at 09:54 PM I love both Encore Un Soir and Courage. I agree there are issues in terms of production in the former and vocals in the latter, but overall I am pleased with both releases. Songs that I frequently listen to from Courage: 1. Lying Down2. Imperfections3. Change My Mind4. For The Lover That I Lost5. I Will Be Stronger6. Perfect Goodbye7. Heart Of Glass8. Boundaries That is really good seeing how the album was released like 1 year and a half ago! P.S. I still have not lost hope that Play Me Like A Love Song will be released someday. Nice, I still listen to the whole album, from FOMO to soul. I just love it Quote
Nmj Posted March 15, 2021 at 03:27 AM Posted March 15, 2021 at 03:27 AM I also really love this album, and I know I may be in the minority but my least favorite of the entire album is probably “change my mind” other than the crazy good high note. Quote

Celinelife Posted March 15, 2021 at 09:19 AM Posted March 15, 2021 at 09:19 AM I think it's time for TC to release Lying Down Music Video because the Album is nominated for two awards, a music video will give it a good rise. Well, I don't know if it's bought or not. But, the fact that they chose to ignored The Weeknd because of the Superbowl and NFL, says to me that is all a politic game. That being said, Beyoncé's video and song that won that Grammy, Brown Skin Girl, it's a powerful song that praise black girls, and the video it's beautiful, a piece of art. It certainly deserved the win. Her daughter is singing and is credit on the song (and video) as is the Nigerian singer Wizkids. There is a bunch a things that are wrong about the Grammys, this win is certainly not one of them. Quote

She is the artist, the singer, a total pro in what she does on stage or in the recording studio. But unfortunately she cannot manage her career properly and in a way that would do justice to her talent and her achievements. 5 Quote

Niobio87 Posted March 23, 2021 at 01:43 AM Posted March 23, 2021 at 01:43 AM (edited) I love this album. IMO Courage is one of Celine’s best albums ever! It is not only great, but well thought and consistent... Not like just a bunch of songs... I wish they released a special edition with Ashes or Recovering... The only thing I'm not happy with is the length of the songs... Am I the only one who feels the songs are really short?? Comparing to old albums, where the songs were like 5 minutes and felt really great... With these we listen and right then it's over... I really wish that here in Portugal, people would listen to Celine Dion again, like before... Edited March 23, 2021 at 01:44 AM by Niobio87 Quote
