manolo19 Posted March 23, 2021 at 09:43 PM Posted March 23, 2021 at 09:43 PM I do understand Celinelife to post his video in different topic because I do the same , you always want the video you've been working on to be seen by as many people as possible and it can mean that the few people who read every single topic daily will see it in multiple threads 2 Quote
québecflower Posted March 23, 2021 at 10:11 PM Posted March 23, 2021 at 10:11 PM I think of the Celine we see in the Oprah special for A New Day show, and Celine behind the scenes for the A New Day DVD....she was always kooky and Quebecer. I think maybe in the middle to late 90s she kind of toned down or restricted herself, not sure why--at least in her English appearances. But she had goofy moments in the 80s and early 90s---of course I cannot think of specifics right now how many people from Quebec do you know? 2 Quote Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....
PuraVida Posted March 24, 2021 at 12:04 AM Posted March 24, 2021 at 12:04 AM how many people from Quebec do you know? A handful. I think most Quebecers are a bit zany--although that's not the exact word, but yes. Quote

I don't think that putting everyone from a country or a nation in the same basket is a good idea, Calling them kooky and zany are not terms that reflects so good in the intelligence department . Funny, amusing, free thinkers, independant are more to my liking if you want to say something good about a group. Not that i would say that myself or quebecers in general. We have a little of everything , like everywhere else. 4 Quote Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

I understood their comment to be specifically about the Québécois sense of humour being zany and kooky... not that they’re one dimensional idiots. I’ve been to Montréal only once, but I definitely picked up on that sense of humour that I always thought was unique to Céline, but then discovered its part of her cultural heritage. It’s definitely not “French” humour, and not really “Canadian” humour — it’s “Québécois” 4 Quote

Funny, amusing, free thinkers, independant are more to my liking if you want to say something good about a group. Not that i would say that myself or quebecers in general. We have a little of everything , like everywhere else. Very intelligent people can be kooky and zany. I don't doubt anyone's intelligence. And I am generalizing, yes, which we all know has exceptions, but I assume people know that when they read such statements. I am saying that I understood Celine so much better when I met other people from Quebec. And the ones that I know all have a very similar quality about them, which is to be playful, not take things too seriously, very joking and goofy. I don't have the precise word to describe it, but I "saw a bit of Celine" in every Quebecer I have met so far, personally speaking. Quote

But if you look at that definition, it says "crazy and offbeat" and of those I would say I'm moreso saying "offbeat" .... but also, multiple people, including Celine herself, have called herself crazy. Of course, not literally but in the good, lovable way. No offense was meant at all! 1 Quote

garyhollander Posted March 27, 2021 at 01:01 PM Posted March 27, 2021 at 01:01 PM After irit mentioning that we might be hearing from play me like a love song soon.. So what if the movie text for you was supposed to happen earlier and was supposed to come out in 14th valentines day 2020... but got pushed? Although they said soon we would be hearing from the song last year if it's not coming out anymore or anything they would not mention this again.. Fact they do means maybe there is something we didnt know maybe it was never intended form Courage album. Same as Lying down Music video maybe idea was to release it in 2020 feb so lying down could be a proper single and keep the tour promoting but with pendamic stopped they decided to wait till tour begins again.. These are offcourse theories.. Maybe they saw they made a mistake releaseing three songs at hte same time. 1 Quote

No. I live in Romania and rarely hear Mariah on radio, except her Christmas songs. Celine is played everyday, especially Imperfections, IDAN, I'm Alive, ANDHC, etc. And I think that this is the same thing with worldwide radios, Celine is more played over the year than Mariah. She really is the most played artist from the 90s. 3 Quote
