Vegas 2011Live 2016Live 2017Live 2018 The fact is what i like about Madonna : the legacy is important & she dont forget the fans that CAN’T go to her shows. Most of the fans around the world couldn’t go to Vegas and were thinking « ok she’s gonna be in Vegas again for a LONG time but its ok i’m gonna wait for the dvds.. And then years keep passing and nothing. Same for the french 2016 shows : not that much cities, not all the fans can travel to see her or can buy a ticket. I really think thats sad her team dont care about those fans. 6 Quote

Nmj Posted February 19, 2021 at 02:20 AM Posted February 19, 2021 at 02:20 AM Besides, Celine always said she didn't want hits, but a career. So René planned exactly that for her: the 90's were all about the hits and conquering the world, which was the template to then build the constant and stable career she wanted, wihtout all the whirlwind craze it required to be n°1. I love when people take these sound bits or quotes as really think she means it lol. She may want a career but she also wanted the awards, the fame, the number one album and singles.... and guess what people she STILL wants those things, only difference being is her team is still stuck in 1996... and doesn’t know how to achieve the English success anymore other than through live performance. They haven’t the slightest clue on how to use social media to their advantage, how to promote an album, how to have a vision for music videos, or how to not play it safe. Yes success wouldn’t the Same as in the 90s because ageism is real and is against her but much more is possible than this Celine “without anything to prove”. Her quotes that make cringe the most is “nothing to prove”, the “best is yet to come” or anytime she talks about that ladder that came down from lol. 1 Quote

It is always difficult for older females to get to the very top of the charts, but not unprecedented. What I would love more is for high production, high quality, top vocals, and top creativity. That's all I would expect from Celine in the later portions of her career. Social media can help, but social media is separate and is really about promotion/connecting with fans. Really, it's all about partnering with the right people. And sometimes I think Celine just is too far removed from super creative, young fresh minds. Her being with Law and Pepe was one of the best moves she ever did, as was her collab with Sia....but I think she was a bit far removed from Sia and it was not a super close collab like she has had with say, JJG. And then Law/Pepe got sent away Quote
mirage Posted February 19, 2021 at 08:24 AM Posted February 19, 2021 at 08:24 AM It's like a collaboration with David Guetta. Years and years late. While he gave us a great song, it wasn't a 'David Guetta' song if you know what I mean. I think if they did a song like the ones he has that are played on the radio, it could be different. Same example Steve Aoki, although Perfect Goodbye is one of my favorites. She was everywhere when he played MHWGO on a festival, and when they performed it together even more. They should have used that opportunity, but nope. She gets a ballad from him. I would love to see some other versions of both those songs, big time remixes by David and Steve themselves. I can't see it happening anymore that Courage has a life. Unless they have some great plans when she is coming back again. Release that back to back album when touring starts, incorporate songs from both albums. I really hope they revamp this tour. They can't show up with that blonde wig and red dress because the album is like that. And not sing a song from it. I find this topic very interesting. I get what you're saying about how Celine collaborated with artists a bit after they lost their edge or "cool" factor. But I don't have a problem with her getting a ballad from Aoki for example. Often times these artists have multi-faceted talents and can do many things well. But yeah, the end result has to be appealing and exciting either way. I still think Courage is pretty amazing. 2 Quote

She wants that SO MUCH that she only performed ONE TIME on TV for this album, do ONE DAY of interviews, and doesn't release an already shot video for the song which had the most YT views at the time (from the three released ones). She's SOOOOO trying... You say her team is stuck in 1996. But what was required in 1996 to earn hits and awards? Do many tv appearances.Do they do that now? Nope. So it's either they're not stuck in 96, or she doesn't want that anymore (doing what it takes to achieve so).I lend on the second option. And of course they know it won't worth the trouble, it's all about legacy now (and money).I'm sure she really doesn't give a F*** anymore - and rigthly so. Sure, she must be pleased Courage went #1. But as long as people still go IN MASS to her shows, the rest can live withtout her. Popular Post smw Posted February 25, 2021 at 07:45 PM Popular Post Posted February 25, 2021 at 07:45 PM Imperfections really is the perfect single for the Courage album. It's such a sleek, modern song and Celine sounds fantastic on it. On top of that, it has a strong message. I wish it was a bigger / more popular song -- but I think more and more people will continue to discover it. Yes, Celine could've promoted it more... but she promoted the heck out of Loved Me Back To Life and that song went nowhere. So who knows! Regardless, Imperfections is a wonderful representation of Celine Dion showcasing how she can be modern and stay true to herself. It's not as forced as some of the other songs on Courage (although, I love many songs on that album). And I'm so thankful Ashes has become a modern day Celine anthem. Yay! The videos is close to 100 million views. Amazing. I was starting to think Celine wouldn't have another widely known English song. I hope Text for You brings more surprises for us. 10 Quote
ryba Posted February 25, 2021 at 08:17 PM Posted February 25, 2021 at 08:17 PM I really enjoy the Imprefections Music Video. There are many different and esthetic scenes, which makes it so special. 3 Quote
PuraVida Posted February 25, 2021 at 09:31 PM Posted February 25, 2021 at 09:31 PM I think they should have just made Imperfections the Lead single and pushed that out on its own. Rather than the 3 songs dropping on one day, which seems like they only did to appease the fans who were tired of waiting. Quote
bilinkew Posted February 25, 2021 at 11:59 PM Posted February 25, 2021 at 11:59 PM Ever since Courage was released I have been listening to the full Deluxe Album in FLAC - high quality audio which sounds amazing on my Home Music System + Headphones. However I have been really annoyed to only have a copy of the Japanese Bonus Track 'Soul' in really poor MP3 quality - sounding cheaply produced and 'tinny'. Well, I came across a site tonight where I managed to download a high quality version of the track (FLAC) and it is great - you can hear the lyrics properly and it fits with the rest of the Courage Album as I think it was intended to. Didn't want to get in trouble by sharing the download here but you can purchase it legally at : https://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/album/soul-japanese-bonus-track-celine-dion/xnvmvccehl2hb for £1.49 or roughly $2.09 enjoy! x 2 Quote

And how do you obtain FLAC files? Quote
bilinkew Posted February 26, 2021 at 12:10 AM Posted February 26, 2021 at 12:10 AM Downloading FLAC is the same as downloading any other audio files only that they have a much larger file size. This is because the tracks are not so heavily compressed so with any headphones or speakers you will hear clearer lyrics, vocals and instruments. Quote
bilinkew Posted February 26, 2021 at 12:11 AM Posted February 26, 2021 at 12:11 AM ps no special equipment needed to play these files - am listening to 'Soul' right now on my Samsung Galaxy S21 with Galaxy Buds Headphones and can hear SO much more detail! Quote
browseceline Posted February 26, 2021 at 08:05 AM Posted February 26, 2021 at 08:05 AM Flac is lossless, just as cdtracks are. Only flac has just a little compression , making them smaller in filesize. But this compression is lossless, no quality loss.So you listen to the original cd and if you want that same quality,Then rip the tracks to flac, for convenient listening.
