“Because You Loved Me” is going to sell a lot more for Valentine’s Day than “For The Lover That I Lost” :sofunny:

If we were a part of her creative team, what are some strategies we would come up with since Valentine’s Day is approaching? (And Celine Dion is the Queen of Love Songs.) ❤️

Preferably realistic strategies that wouldn’t require Celine to lift a finger since she’s on a break.

Like releasing a lyric video for one of the songs from Courage - like Falling In Love Again.

Or releasing a live performance of Because You Loved Me or To Love You More from the Courage tour / Hyde Park.

Since Celine loves medleys, they could do a short one with snippets of her biggest love songs and a few from Courage to spike the interest in that album. Edited by Xpresso

No..just no. Because this is the courage tour and then you don't want to hear snippets of songs but full songs.

I guess using “I Love You” would be too obvious for her team to use? **smh**

I'll take anything other than stupid Keychains.

If that is a medley with snippets of new songs. Hell yeah!

Finally I'm sharing the Demo that I've sent to Celine

Only the lyrics are my own, the voice is from a ghost singer

I miss the Celine who had something to prove. No one was better.

Very true!

There’s still a fire inside of her... I bet she’s going to be so energized and ready to go once covid is under control.

Thank You, I wrote the lyrics especially for her, I've asked to the composer to do it for her,

her team told me that they are not looking for new material

Glad to provide a chuckle in these trying times! :) But seriously, I was watching a lot of 1999-2003 interviews lately, and it's so interesting the mindset that Celine was in with her career, the break, the touring, her marriage and Rene's illness, motherhood, etc.

She didn't really miss it. I mean, she had 10 years of English career (plus continued French success)....imagine being 30-32 years old and feeling that you don't have to prove anything anymore. Pretty remarkable.

I don't know where to post this.

Yesterday I was invited by a friend at a strip club here where I live, and in one of the performances, the DJ played Celine's LOved Me Back To Life and I was without reaction, I didn't know what to think, the woman danced with this music.

Interesting choice! I'd love to see Celine's reaction!

When you’ve reached the peak of your career at 30, and then the love of your life becomes deathly ill, your perspective changes quite a bit.

Besides, Celine always said she didn't want hits, but a career.

So René planned exactly that for her: the 90's were all about the hits and conquering the world, which was the template to then build the constant and stable career she wanted, wihtout all the whirlwind craze it required to be n°1.

Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans
