ryba Posted October 1, 2020 at 06:24 PM Posted October 1, 2020 at 06:24 PM (edited) She can use those short clips and show off her fashion for general audience on twitter, but should definitely also offer a longer version of the recording session of each song on her YouTube channel! smw Posted October 1, 2020 at 06:45 PM Posted October 1, 2020 at 06:45 PM (edited) Diane warren just reply my tweet https://twitter.com/...0891374592?s=21 I love that Diane is responding to the fans! It's great that she is so proud of Water from the Moon. The entire Celine Dion album is so darn perfect, in my opinion. Her voice is smooth perfection and it's such a classy album. It was so different from Unison (which I enjoy, but they didn't quite hit a home run). Celine, Rene, and David realized that they needed to lean into the Where Does My Heart Beat Now vibe and the rest is history. Just for fun, I recently rearranged the tracks on Unison and it made a big difference. There's just a bit too much 80s going on, whereas the Celine Dion album has more of a dignified timeless quality. I wonder what this "amazing new song" that Diane mentioned will be? And when?! ryba Posted October 1, 2020 at 08:15 PM Posted October 1, 2020 at 08:15 PM (edited) I wouldn't hope for anything. Humberto Gatica also claimed that a new song is just around the corner and nothing ever happened. I don't expect anything anymore. So far, I was only deeply disappointed, and I gave up on hoping for anything when it comes to Celine. Edited October 1, 2020 at 08:15 PM by ryba 5 Quote
Chantemoi Posted October 1, 2020 at 08:47 PM Posted October 1, 2020 at 08:47 PM Well if they’re going to release a little snippet of each song being recorded every 2-3 months, and we have 21 songs, then we’ve got about 4-5 years of these posts to look forward to 5 Quote
Chantemoi Posted October 1, 2020 at 09:01 PM Posted October 1, 2020 at 09:01 PM (edited) PS With the outfit Celine is wearing in "The Chase" video, I would have thought was an outfit she would wear while recording Flying On My Own or Nobody's Watching. They probably told her “This song is a Taylor Swift reject,” and this was the resulting look. Haha But in all seriousness, I do enjoy the song a lot, and find myself humming this tune quite often. Surprising that was the outfit she wore to record a “demo” ... i mean, the vocal is great and all, but I don’t see how they’d improve upon it -it’s not exactly the type of song you can do a lot with. actofcontrition Posted October 1, 2020 at 09:31 PM Posted October 1, 2020 at 09:31 PM Interesting! She says there's an amazing new song coming! Hmmm... well the Bond movie will finally be released in November. Let's bring that rumor back! https://www.billboard.com/articles/business/9376880/diane-warren-bmg-deal-new-album-details Its for that album with singers singing new Diane Warren songs. 4 Quote
PuraVida Posted October 1, 2020 at 10:17 PM Posted October 1, 2020 at 10:17 PM The FULL 9 minute audio, and most of the in-sync, video of Celine and Aretha at the end of the show. 9 minutes. You can hear Aretha literally saying "if you all would be bold, please come on out here!" 1 Quote

So we can assume it’s not related to James Bond movie. Why can’t Celine’s team tease us with something like this? LOL. Edited October 2, 2020 at 04:46 AM by weasley123 Quote

You can hear Aretha literally saying "if you all would be bold, please come on out here!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thQhLL08qZUAt 4:36 Mariah looks so out of place and her gesture seems uncomfortable, while the other fellow divas seems enjoying their time and dancing. A few minutes later Aretha asked the fellow divas to sing in higher notes by saying “Come on now, help me now.” At first she come to Mariah and challenge her to hit the notes with her. Mariah failed to copy Aretha’s not big time, and she knew it, you can see it in Mariah’s face that she’s struggling to hit the note. That’s why she immediately back off. Aretha realize Mariah can’t answer her challenge, she turned to other fellows by saying “Higher! Come on, would you help me lift it?”Celine is the only one who brave enough to answer Aretha’s challenge. Not only she copy Aretha’s note flawlessly, she also doing some brilliant improvisation. Aretha, realize she finally find her match, then do something like voice duel with Celine. They both enjoying the duel. So, in my opinion, Mariah said horrible things about Celine that night simply because she’s jealous and she knew she failed to answer Aretha’s challenge, so she come up with this made up story that we know all along, you know, to cover her embarrassment. Defence and blame other is always best mechanism when you failed at something. 12 Quote

Curious, what was the playlist you made of Unison? I agree that some of the upbeat songs are typical late 80s/early 90s pop songs that could stand being updated. It's interesting to think that Celine, Rene, and David probably did a pro/con list from Unison, and decided that we need more timeless pop songs to keep the career going. My only idea why many of these songs don't get performed to this day. Quote

The Chase is a true gem, I agree. It was not one of the songs that wowed me the first 3/4 listens to the album. There are just too many top notch standouts (Laying Down being one), but it is a song that sneaks up on you as a listener I think. It definitely stands out among the "simple" songs off the record. 1 Quote
beelee Posted October 2, 2020 at 02:55 PM Posted October 2, 2020 at 02:55 PM Here is the excerpt from Mariah’s book about Céline. Sounds like Patti LaBelle was also not happy that Céline “challenged” Aretha. Patti has always been a bit salty with Céline due to the If You Asked Me To drama. Quote
Céline RO Posted October 2, 2020 at 03:56 PM Posted October 2, 2020 at 03:56 PM (edited) Who cares what Mariah and Patti have to say about Céline?! Why so many pages of posts about two jealous b*tches who have nothing better to do (literally, not sarcastic) than to constantly bash Céline? They each made their choices back then and we can see where each of them ended up. That sums it all up. Edited October 2, 2020 at 04:01 PM by Céline RO 3 Quote The best is yet to come...

Vin Diesel and Celine Dion, F9-PMLALS Uhm, I'm wording it wrong. Some months ago, out of nowhere, there was rumor that the allegedly song known as 'PMLALS' among Celine fans, submitted as 007 new movie. Later, it turned out to be untrue. Unfortunately, right after Eilish's song released as No Time to Die theme, the movie got postponed again. Now that NTTD postponed until next Easter, and the fact that Diane said she wrote new song for Celine which will be released next year, I think it's easy for us to reignite PMLALS theory again. LOL.
