Celine really did a lot of interviews for the Courage promo. I stand by the fact that she did enough interviews / filmed enough big moments but her team failed at building momentum. Particularly once the album was actually released. That was really bad and Rene never would've let that happen. It dropped SO quickly from the #1 spot and it didn't have to be that way. I know she got sick, but there were still so many ways to keep the album alive.

 

With that said, the album still hit #1 and there are a lot of fantastic interviews from 2019! A couple that come to mind...

IACBTMN is definitely the most iconic of Celine’s music videos and that song is THE power ballad from the Queen of power ballads. So it makes sense why that song was chosen. It’s as 90s as it gets - in the best way. And 90s fashion is back.

There’s no denying that IACBTMN is one of her biggest and most recognized song. I only pointed that it’s ironic that she just released a brand new album with great material, but her team failed to utilize the momentum. As comparison, back in One Heart era, IDAN which was a new song, used in Chrysler ad. But I believe it was Rene’s smart decision.

 

She needs a manager and new team who know what to do. For me, it was such a dishonor they ignore Courage the way they did.

You have to see it like this: it is one of her most popular songs and most fans know the lyrics, so these lyrics suddenly got a different funny meaning. For the not well known courage songs that trick won't work

All of us, who consider ourselves Celine’s biggest fans, should watch this. Celine Dion is such a dignified, down to earth woman with morals and values. Her untouchable talent and endless achievements have never changed the fact that she is a good person, and she has never spoken negatively about another artist.

 

Celine is confident enough in herself to never attempt to belittle someone else.

 

I frankly want this shady, incredibly disrespectful part of Mariah’s book to explode. It should catch fire and be trending across the internet. Mariah put some very toxic energy out into the universe and she deserves for that toxic energy to come right back to her.

 

For Mariah to attempt to rewrite history and come after the most humble diva of all time, Celine Dion, is ABSURD. Jealousy is an ugly and vicious thing.

 

Celine deserves better than this. It feels like Mariah is getting away with some childish, very unprofessional and irresponsible behavior. I don’t think we, as Celine’s biggest fans, should let Mariah get away with it.

I think Mariah is bitter and insecure. And I think this being a news story is a testament to how relevant they both remain. But let's be real, no one cares about this story other than die-hard Mariah and Celine fans...it's not going to make it to Entertainment Tonight lol.

 

Side note: never saw the full question in that clip where the interviewer clarifies the record labels... "No, she's on Epic, I'm on Columbia"...

 

And I just noticed...Mariah "you do not, I repeat, do not..." come for the queen. Such strong feelings after all this time.

Great and objective video! It's all a matter of perspective, bút the shade from Mariah is really uncalled for.

I think in the end, deep down, she regrets not doing the same as Céline (whether she could've held her own is another story) and feels bitter about it.
