Yes for sure she could at least sing a song in some shows but what we saw in Jimmy Fallon ... she didn´t sing there ... she could do something even now when she is free but it seems promo for album ended and of course I understand health and family is at first place. But Sony could do some promo but we could talking about it again and again but Sony and her team and maybe Celine too don´t see it this way.

Sadly is not worth it. TV performances don't have such a big impact for the most veteran artists since charts are mostly built on streaming. Katy Perry has promoted her last album Smile a lot, she has opened with 99,000 units worldwide, despite all the different fan editions and merchandising bundles. This puts a bit of perspective. An artist that less than five years ago had #1 singles all over the world can't even open with 100K now. Courage opened with 254,000 units, #1 album in the world that week.

 

Still I think they had promotion planned, they freed up two weeks before Courage was released but then she got sick and they had to reschedule a few dates in those weeks. I would love to have some tv performances as well, but the impact in the album performance would have been minimal. A visit to the UK would have been worth it though, it would have boost sales there.

I’m sure they were going to do that - she had weeks off from the world tour when the album was released but her illness caused the rescheduling of the tour. The tour is much more important than TV appearances because it makes everyone involved so much more money than the album does.

Celine appeared on tons of talk shows for LMBTL but it didn’t seem to help the single or the album all that much.

 

I do think that this time would’ve been different. General fans have missed Celine & there’s been more interest in her again after the passing of Rene. So it’s a shame so many people didn’t even know about this wonderful album.

I really hope they will do something together again in the future. Same goes for Julie Snyder loved their chemistry.

 

Talking about tvshows, 2016 was a great time she did a lot back then. (definitely missed opportunity for performing EUS)

Guess that's also because of Aldo, since he gone she is nowhere to be seen.

Celine and Mariah both have drive -- but different kinds of drive.

Mariah is always striving to stay on top. That drives her. She is hungry to be #1. And that's probably emotionally exhausting, but it keeps her fans engaged because she's constantly trying new ways to stay relevant.

Celine is passionate about being onstage. Live performance drives her. The amounts of concerts she's performed is INSANE.

 

I would LOVE for Celine to have a little more drive to be on top, but I respect that she is at peace and has already proven herself.

 

I'd still love for Celine to appear on some more talk shows and have more big, monumental career moments. Like Ashes, the fashion, etc. Fingers crossed! The Courage world tour was doing amazingly well, but it'd be great if Celine's focus moved beyond just live performance. Celine and her team are hyper focused on her concerts -- and everything else is not a priority. They desperately need to infuse some fresh energy into her team. She needs a whole new promotional team. It feels like older people run her social media, who are a bit clueless on how to keep fans engaged and bring in new fans.

 

With all that said, who knows if Mariah would be as driven if her concerts sold like Celine's. Mariah might be less inclined to go, go, go all the time if she was more confident in her relevance? She also has lost the power in her voice and I'm sure that's caused some big insecurity.

 

I like Mariah, by the way! Music Box was one of my favorite albums in the 90s. Never been a fan of her diva persona, but I do think she's a good person and her voice was amazing early in her career.

You know, one thing that I came to see with Mariah is that yes, she still has this drive

to be #1 but it goes behind that, she spoils her hardcore fans in such an amazing way, giving them everything they dreamt about

and even what they not and just celebrating her career. She is finding her comfortable place with the state of her voice, and it's nice to see it. So I love to see her and her team planning things to the smallest details and putting so much efforts.

Again, how cool things can get if Celine had the promotion team Mariah has

 

Celine seems not to have any team with vision and that's why they are putting trivia games out there?

With all the time that has passed since her last live show, they couldn't come up with something little more creative?

She needs someone that will motivate her, just like she had her team

for fashion, and she really had some amazing moments, enjoyed it every single moment.

 

I think it's never too late to do an online campaign, if that will have positive results I bet so many fans will be so happy!

But it feels like that she might release an album in French and forget Courage. She will have so many time

on her hands to record even two new albums, though I will be just happy to hear the unreleased songs from Courage.

 

I just hope Celine will still find it enjoyable to record music and have some more drive to celebrate her career.

I'm sorry but I don't agree with you on that. And just for one reason: Celine doesn't sing her new songs on her concerts. That's not her drive. Her drive it's, apparently, easy money.

I like the staging for “Courage”. It’s suitable for the song. Also, “Ashes” was performed even less (2018-2019).

She has the drive to be on stage. And it's obvious she enjoys it. And she also enjoys covers.

If she's happy, I'm happy. And that's the way it iiiiiisssss...

The woman is a performing MACHINE.

Her concert schedule takes tremendous work ethic and drive. No question about it.

The setlist is a moot point and different discussion altogether.

 

In my opinion, some fans take for granted the fact that Celine performs so consistently at the level she has for as long as she has.

Has Mariah been able to pull this off? No.

Did Whitney? No.

Barbra rarely performs.

The list is small.

Celine is in rare company... Cher and Elton John also come to mind.

 

For Celine Dion to be such a spectacular vocalist and perform so consistently is absolutely incredible.

 

Regarding the setlist...

Celine and her team clearly know how to please crowds. Audiences were adoring the Courage tour. Remember those fabulous videos of the crowd post-concert in the New York subway?

The reality is the Courage tour (and any world tour) is not designed for us hardcore fans. But the majority of the people here said their concerns about the setlist melted way once they were in the room with Celine, soaking in her one-of-a-kind stage presence and amazing voice. The setlist is fabulous for a casual Celine fan, and it's just fine for the hardcore fans.

 

With all that said... I still think there's a million ways for Celine's team to please us hardcore fans, and also spark up new interest in Celine among casual fans.

 

Dreaming big:

-Release another music video for a song from Courage

-Release a duet with another big name artist along with a music video

-Do a One Night Only of rare songs that's taped and released

-Netflix documentary

 

Dreaming small:

-Release a new or previously unreleased Christmas song

-Release ANY previously unreleased song or music video

Celine's drive is money and Mariah's is not? hahaha Have you ever seen her? Just watch her reality and judge yourself. Why is Mariah now doing a residency in Vegas? Why is she now touring every year when she never liked it before? Because the only money in music industry now is in concerts and live entertainment.

 

So it is ok to look ridiculous and desperate? No thanks. Celine has her way. I already said that both of her MET appearances had more impact that anything Mariah has done in the last years (just Google it). Or the MHWGO performance at Billboard Awards 2017, read the level of praise and admiration from the general public in social media after that performance. She is respected and admired, she doesn't need to sacrifice that for being in the spotlight all the time.

the ideal would be rather to release a reissue with a double album of all the recorded titles as Celine said in interview "I like these titles so much that I will find a way to release them soon"
