Cher did it at 52 Céline's able to do that on her 50s too... She's not required to remain with her boring ballads, she needs to reivent her sound and she knows that, that's why she's working on it...and a duet with Sia (that will problably happen)would EASILY be a hit... CelinesDIVO5 Posted June 10, 2017 at 07:17 AM Posted June 10, 2017 at 07:17 AM Because Céline's team is dumb, lmbtl would be A HIT if It had a video, Céline's equipe is ruining her career for not doing music videos, Encore un soir video would be her first vevo certified video, but they ignored it, no way an artist can sell 1m with an album without any official video, Céline only did It because she's Céline, but the number could be higher LMBTL didn't do as well as it should have because of the halt in promotion. Rene got sick, and there was no more promotion, and rightfully so. The promo for the album was on a great track. Her team had her doing all the right things, but life got in the way and she made the right decision to tackle it and handle it the way she saw best. 6 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

The song didn't even have a vídeo and it is STILL a hit in Brazil, still heavily played.... Céline should of worked on lmbtl single, her last certification for a single by riaa was in 2002 1 Quote
Javito Posted June 10, 2017 at 09:54 AM Posted June 10, 2017 at 09:54 AM That's not true. Since Adele, ballads are "back". There are plenty ballads hits these days.. Adele started with ballads and has only 3 albums in the market. Celine has 26 studio albums in over 35+ years of career, in which 90% of what she has sung are ballads. We'll have to see when Adele has been around for 30 years in the business, if ballads are still working for her, or if people would love to see something different from her for a change 2 Quote "Hush, now... Don't underestimate the Queen THIS :clap1: It amazes me how some of her fans love to underestimate Céline's abilities when singing, when she has proved long and ago that she can sing whatever she is given, and with great results and equal success as when she sings ballads. I'm not surprised she's still confined in her shows to always sing the same boring songs and not including many more of her uptempo work, when her own fans are doubting that she can be successful performing those songs too Not to mention again that the girl is clearly craving to sing that modern and uptempo material all the time, when she's covering artists like Sia and Rihanna whenever she has the chance... 2 Quote "Hush, now... We'll have to see when Adele has been around for 30 years in the business, if ballads are still working for her, or if people would love to see something different from her for a change Not talking about their careers, talking about trends. And Adele started a 00's "ballad" trend. Maybe it's time for Céline to get back to her core. MHWGO and the reactions to her other ballad hits and album compilations show that people (general audience - which is a much bigger target than us fans) love her ballads the most. It's *her* signature type of song. And she should claim it back. While of course stay current. 2 Quote »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY
Shaun Posted June 10, 2017 at 10:11 AM Posted June 10, 2017 at 10:11 AM We have to address the reality too that she's very rarely sung her own uptempo songs and when she has she changes them and / or can't manage. That's The Way It Is has only been performed in the original key once, the very few occasions she's performed I Drove All Night live she's either drastically shortened it or cannot manage the long notes, plus the key was usually lowered too. LCMM hasn't been performed properly in a long time, it's kinda just become a mess around song really now and we all know RDMH isn't her song. Shadow of Love and Fade Away were generally considered a mess during the TCWT. I just get the feeling that with English up tempo songs Celine won't perform them unless she's REALLY really comfortable with them hence why we've had LCMM for over 25 years in her shows now and RDMH for over 20! Doesn't meant we can't have hope for the upcoming tour though! 6 Quote Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.
Javito Posted June 10, 2017 at 10:41 AM Posted June 10, 2017 at 10:41 AM Yeah, and then we can fill up pages here talking about why she neglects her own (uptempo) songs, but then she loves to perform and cover those of others (Sia?...) 2 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
Shaun Posted June 10, 2017 at 01:10 PM Posted June 10, 2017 at 01:10 PM She's under no pressure to "sound like the cd recording" when performing other artists up tempo songs though. 6 Quote Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.

But what about the photoshoot? Personally, I would love to have Celine photos by Annie Leibovitz... Something original. Something very, VERY different. Let's be honest, her album photoshoots tend to be pretty "safe" and not very creative. I want to see both she and the photographer "thinking outside the box." If that doesn't happen, then a photoshoot at nighttime. I would love to see what could be done for an album photoshoot of hers utilizing the moon, the stars and the constellations. The lyric video for "L'etoile" is one of my favorite videos of hers for this reason. I'd even welcome an English adaptation of the song to help tie everything together. It would make a great opening song. Edited June 28, 2017 at 10:53 PM by SuperLove4Celine 2 Quote

scielle Posted June 29, 2017 at 02:01 AM Posted June 29, 2017 at 02:01 AM I still adore this album. Indeed. Musically, and visually. My favourite cover of all Celine records. I'd love her to do something graphic like that again. (Though all the B&W and sepia ones are great, too - EUS, D'elles, S'il suffisait d'aimer, E'eux). 2 Quote
