OK, I think I like how she sings the V parts in Heart of glass, she sounds there still like herself.

I love that clear voice she has there. This song reminds me of LMBTL with how she uses her voice.

 

I can't understand why they didn't release single that can fit for those holiday times

or God forbid to do one special for Tv.

The personal attacks on me are dreadful. I am a celine fan of over twenty years. Seen her three times in concert. Not once have I commented personally on people on here. The responses by me pointing out that this album isn’t selling well have been appalling. Those who have commented should be ashamed. I will leave it there.

I've also had a feeling there's gonna be a rerelease… but since they've already gone for the "deluxe edition" I can't get my mind around what it would be to have a "deluxe deluxe edition" following that….

So since it's December 1st I usually go with all Christmas music until the end of the year. Since Courage was just released I found myself in a dilemma this morning and decided that this year the Courage album will be part of the Christmas music rotation. Only non Christmas album that will be played. I mean I can't stop playing it because it's Christmas time.

100 percent agreed. First time ever I find myself still trying to guess at some lyrics and cringing at others. Although they likes of Miss Janet have made a career of mumbling lyrics, Celine was always a perfectionist and had very clear diction. I remember the UK critics bashing her accent on IACBTMN. That song was practically perfect compared to some s*** on this record (pun definitely intended).

Someone posted on fb group, the japanese edition has the regular booklet with lyrics+plus translated to japanese... Cant wait to get my copy, this will be a great cd ro own...

The Japanese Edition has the fold out poster. And a black and white booklet with both Japanese and English lyrics. Not the actual booklet from the Standard Edition. I'm still waiting for my standard edition to arrive, just for the booklet!

It was here, and now it’s gone.

 

A week ago Friday, Celine Dion topped the album sales chart with her comeback collection called “Courage.” She sold around 116,000 copies, most of them CDs and paid downloads. There was no sign of her streaming or being played on the radio. The RIAA and other groups counted sales of the album as part of a ticket bundle for her concerts.

 

This past week, Week 2, “Courage” vanished from the charts. Sales plunged 95% as the ticket bundles were counted. “Courage” sold around 3,400 copies. With streaming of the album or its tracks, hitsdailydouble.com and Buzz Angle Music had it up to around 5,600 copies.

 

The good news is that amazon.com is listing the Celine CD at number 27.

 

This is what happens when album sales are bundled with ticket sales. You get a one week publicity hit, and then it’s gone. I guess it took Courage for Celine’s team to do it, but her audience is simply not buying new music from her. They want to hear “My Heart Will Go On.” I’d like to hear “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” just once, and not again.

 

C’est la vie! At Caesar’s Palace, Celine will go on. And keep making a fortune.

This only reinforces the theory that without that bundle scheme, courage would have not debuted at no. 1.

Celine simply needs to love her new music and make the public aware of this love. Simple as.

I'm surprised they didn't keep some of those redeemed bundle albums for week 2 or 3. Not sure if they can but I don't see why not.

So hopefully the next album won't be released in November when so many new albums come out and the tour will start after promoting the album.
