Because no-one knows it’s out 😔 it’ll be out of the top 40 by next week! :(

 

Sad but true...though I can’t believe Sony Music has no special things planned to help the album...

Unfortunate. Peak positions prove that the Celine Dion brand is still strong. But promotion of the product is needed. :yes: You cannot be relying on your name forever... Edited by LukeD

great to see that Celine's is 4th in my country while with the last english album she was 9th and this time with barely any promotion here yet :-D It's now her 6th top five album in germany :)

 

It is only number 10 in The Netherlands, very low for a albumchart entrance by Céline. Unfortunately no promo at all. Why did she start the tour so soon? She could have been promoting her songs now and tour sometime next year.

Now that i've listened to Baby, while reading the lyrics, i got it stuck in my head i was sure it was "i'll be there yeyyee"... Didnt make any sense

She had this whole week off so it's interesting why she wasn't in the AMA.

Imagine if she could sing on an important event

Courage or any other gem to create buzz around the album, she will blow all away!

What I saw at the AMA.. bahh no one comes close to her, even not my dear Shania.

 

At this point if there is no promotion, sadly it will be hard to maintain the album in Top50

one can hope they will have some nice things to do with it.

This time I guess she prefer to let her voice good rest or meeting with her kids.

According to hits daily double Coldplay are in a battle for number 1 with 80k copies I would have thought much bigger numbers than Celine but no, I think that's pretty cool

I only dip in an out of these threads for a quick nosy. It’s always mainly negative nonsense about lack of promotion, lack of this, that and the other. I know we all want 30 million record sales again.

 

This album is simply stunning. Every day I have a new favourite. The ones that keep surfacing are Look At Us Now, I Will Be Stronger, Lying Down, Boundaries, Imperfections, Best Of All and How Did You Get Here. And the rest.

 

No 1 in the USA and no 2 in the UK. Don’t scoff at this people. She’s a legacy artist who’s STILL relevant. Songwriters are falling over themselves to write for her. Hail the Queen.

She would’ve been #2 in the UK no matter what.

 

BUT she should make at least a couple big appearances there as well as more big appearances in the US so the momentum continues.

 

I hope the Parade on Thursday is miraculously enough to cause another surge of posts here in the US about Courage.

 

But let’s not panic about how the album will inevitably fall — let’s celebrate that’s she #1 right now!!!! :D

Well the thing I hate about zero promotion, is the fact that the big audience isnt gonna hear and experience these amazing songs! :( Celine made a terrific album and for it not to have an impact is just depressing :down:

 

Seriously though, this album deserves a TV special like ANDHC had! :wub2:

According to hits daily double Coldplay are in a battle for number 1 with 80k copies I would have thought much bigger numbers than Celine but no, I think that's pretty cool

 

It's actually not vying for the No. 1 spot as that spot is most likely going to Jason Aldean. Coldplay is battling for the 2nd or 3rd spot.

Everyone last night at the ama had like 6-10 min performances. Missed opportunity to sing a mashup of something old/something new.

 

She should’ve came out with a mashup of TTWII, ANDHC, Imperfections, Change My Mind & Courage.

Celine Dion’s Courage debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart with 55,000 total consumption units. It is the highest one-week consumption total since Drake’s Scorpion picked up 70,000 in July 2018. With 53,000 albums sold, Courage also has the highest one-week-cash register total since Taylor Swift’s Reputation sold 80,000 copies two years back, in November 2017.

 

This is Dion's 15th Canadian chart-topping album in the Nielsen SoundScan era, with all four of her albums released this decade reaching No. 1. All in, she has sold 8.3 million albums in Canada in the Nielsen SoundScan era, over three million more than the current runner-up, Eminem.

Celine is #1 in France? Wikipedia say yes but I thought the best-selling album in France is from a rapper. What happened? Is this true?
