Xpresso Posted November 24, 2019 at 09:20 PM Posted November 24, 2019 at 09:20 PM I would have thought that they had her on the cover of all fashion magazines. But nah she is everywhere when she has nothing to promote. And when she does have the best album since years coming out, she is nowhere to be found. She can't really decide what fashion magazines will put on their covers unfortunately. But she should have gone out of her hotel in NYC with a really crazy outfit with the cover of her album on her head!! Now that might have worked to get the word out! 2 Quote

Change My Mind13. Best Of All14. Heart Of GlassSo LMBTL wasn't such a bad album after all, was it? fred Posted November 24, 2019 at 10:50 PM Posted November 24, 2019 at 10:50 PM Yea. If this was a crap album I'd understand why she's "hiding" and not doing any promo for it. But this time we have an album critics praise (well by Céline standards) and Sony doing their job.... I would have thought that they had her on the cover of all fashion magazines. But nah she is everywhere when she has nothing to promote. And when she does have the best album since years coming out, she is nowhere to be found. Quote Peace and love to all.
Jeanette Posted November 24, 2019 at 11:00 PM Posted November 24, 2019 at 11:00 PM I’ve gotta say, I’m feeling the way I do after seeing her in concert...after all the buildup comes the real downer!! We waited so long for this album and although it’s brilliant, don’t get me wrong but I just feel a huge anti climax! Due in part to the album’s release going by with a whimper, here in the UK. At least if she was doing promo there would still be lots of appearances to look forward to but there appears to be nada. It’s such a shame really!! 1 Quote

cdfan32 Posted November 24, 2019 at 11:40 PM Posted November 24, 2019 at 11:40 PM That is because the priority is the tour. A copy of an album only sell for 20 usd. As a ticket can sell for 200+ usd. And Sony knows promoting the tour will kepp celine name as artist being alive. Also there is an upcoming celine movie next year. They probably consider launch a new album coincide with that? fred Posted November 25, 2019 at 12:10 AM Posted November 25, 2019 at 12:10 AM (edited) Yaay!! I didn't realize LTAL also did "just" one week at the number one spot. That's cool it did as good as that (when it came to holding the no 1 spot). Between all the let down of the tour setlist and the lack of promo performing wise, we gotta take a momemt to take in that the album gets nice reviews and it's her first no 1 in 17 years!! 😄 Who knew she'd get there again! Well we hoped but still it wasn't that plausible. Bravo Céline!!! I took GoldenLeaf‘s playlist, and added Thankful, I Will Be Stronger, HDYGH, LAUN, and The Hard Way.I’m currently listening — it’s as seamless as I hoped it would be. LMBTL did have some great songs, but the filler material weighed it down. I wouldn’t be opposed to Céline releasing more EP’s or mini-albums. It would give her more opportunities to experiment with different “costumes” and sounds without waiting for 10-20 good songs to roll in. Edited November 25, 2019 at 12:35 AM by Chantemoi 1 Quote

scielle Posted November 25, 2019 at 01:19 AM Posted November 25, 2019 at 01:19 AM She can't really decide what fashion magazines will put on their covers unfortunately. It's her PR team's job to make sure they do. Magazine editors don't just put people on covers or write features out of goodwill. It takes work on the part of the artist's PR to make it happen. Quote

I’m even more thrilled that the album is so darn good — and it was Celine who called all the shots!! Our Queen is #1 right now!!!! Fingers crossed lots of media outlets pick this up. 5 Quote
scielle Posted November 25, 2019 at 01:53 AM Posted November 25, 2019 at 01:53 AM Fingers crossed lots of media outlets pick this up. It's probably going to get lost in AMA coverage, unfortunately. And with streaming numbers as sad as they are... well, she really needs to promote it if there's any hope of chart longevity for this album. Doesn't look like stand-alone sales (outside of the ticket bundle) are all that strong. Quote
