ryba Posted October 16, 2018 at 09:28 AM Posted October 16, 2018 at 09:28 AM If the song becomes a success, maybe there will be a shift and David Guetta starts doing songs with Celine and not Sia lol Sia will just write for them 1 Quote
ryba Posted October 16, 2018 at 09:34 AM Posted October 16, 2018 at 09:34 AM (edited) I would actually love a song like Titanium, Flames, or When love takes over she would sound great on such a song. Im really glad that she moved away from this crazy Adele obsession and focused on Sia. I think that’s a better direction. Personally I would love a double album with 12 songs each, one in the David Guetta / Sia style with dance and party tracks, very energetic and fun to listen, and the other one with typical iconic Celine ballads like Ashes, etc. with great production, emotional etc. now that would be a great album after all these years Edited October 16, 2018 at 09:37 AM by ryba 7 Quote

Ok that sounds more promising then "may" record. The scary part is "nothing is for sure." 2 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

Del Posted October 16, 2018 at 10:20 AM Posted October 16, 2018 at 10:20 AM Had i know all this last week, i could have marched myself to the Sony Music building while in Toronto and demanded they release us the song. On a serious note, i think it's exciting to see others excited about having written a song for her. i truly do hope the reason things are going slow is they are preparing something special. 4 Quote Instagram: @delphis78

Nmj Posted October 16, 2018 at 07:23 PM Posted October 16, 2018 at 07:23 PM (edited) My biggest concern is of course they pick the right songs, but I have faith they will, from knowing who’s involved so far; but also having a good flow of the album. I don’t believe any English album from Céline since ANDHC & One Heart, has had a good song placement that doesn’t contradict with each other. For example: Please explain to me how does “Save Your Soul” & “Overjoyed” appear on the same album??? I know many may not agree but I like a theme, or at least a tone to an album. That’s not saying Céline can’t sing upbeat and ballad on the same album, it’s very possible to contain both and still feel a sense of flow of the album. Thats why I like the idea of having only a minimum of producers on the album instead of 16 different producers for a 16 track album it would be good if maybe they had between 4-6 producers do the entire album. your_light Posted October 16, 2018 at 08:30 PM Posted October 16, 2018 at 08:30 PM Mmm... Just because something is repetitive or beat driven doesn't mean it's less musical or inventive. I'll give you that it can be less traditionally melodic for sure, if that's your preference then that's your preference. Electronic music can also be less melodic and more beat driven. That's the way music has evolved over time. Of course it boils down to taste and the individual's definition of good music, but my brain tends to disengage when I hear a lot of this new urban sounding music since it's usually basic as hell i.e. lack of chords, overly simplified melodies, predictable rap section, weird computer generated noises etc. In my opinion I think pop music for the most part has devolved. I'm thankful that the past has plenty of good music to offer so I don't need to listen anything new. One of the things I like about Celine's music catalog is that the quality has stayed pretty consistent over the years. Hoping the next album will continue that trend~ 2 Quote
gafsa Posted October 16, 2018 at 09:51 PM Posted October 16, 2018 at 09:51 PM I don't mind a current style of music every once in awhile. But that's why I need an album, because I will have plenty to chose, a higher quality but less commercial music that hidden in the album. I'm greedy, I want have it all. Quote

There has never been more access to artists and music than now. It's all out there to explore. Edited October 16, 2018 at 10:08 PM by Jascka01 1 Quote

Maybe you should explain why 'Save your Soul' and 'Overjoyed' can not be on one album?Yes, different songs in style, but both arranged as easy listening pop songs. Not so strange together, right? They had weirder tracklist combinations in the past hahaIf Celine could pull of to put 'I Hate you Than I Love you' and 'Treat Her Like a Lady' on one album, or 'Nature Boy' and 'Sorry For Love' then everything is possible, anyway 5 Quote

Obviously this a forum, so that’s just my humble opinion. For example, I think “At Last” and “Nature Boy” meshed well on the same album as songs like “ I’m Alive” and “When the Wrong loves you Right” 1 Quote
Taking Chances Posted October 17, 2018 at 04:51 PM Posted October 17, 2018 at 04:51 PM I can't believe the David Guetta interview was from Norway and I missed it. I hope we get some real news soon. Quote

Popular Post Nmj Posted October 18, 2018 at 12:27 AM Popular Post Posted October 18, 2018 at 12:27 AM Nothing that we don’t already know but I can CONFIRM... I spoke with Stephan Moccio on social media today, and he said he worked on “more than one song for Céline” and they are “exquisite”. I tried to ask him more about the tempo and what we can expect and he the song and he said he couldn’t tell me any more at the moment but to stay tuned and he’s “excited” about them. Not new news, but he is DEFINITELY doing multiple songs. 14 Quote
Xpresso Posted October 18, 2018 at 01:53 AM Posted October 18, 2018 at 01:53 AM Oh we stay tuned alright... tick tock... 4 Quote
mirage Posted October 18, 2018 at 08:03 AM Posted October 18, 2018 at 08:03 AM Of course he is excited, if it becomes another hit he gonna be rich haha I have a feeling that the album was maybe almost finished, but Stephan came and they decided to do more songs so they changing here and there. I do hope that we get a lot of songs. Yeah yeah an album with 12 coherent songs is better than an album with 18 different styles. Well not for me. D'elles is a concept album with 12 songs and it's too damn short, especially if ya don't like 3 songs And with this amount of time, she better record 20 new songs. 4 Quote
Peppercorn1991 Posted October 18, 2018 at 08:44 AM Posted October 18, 2018 at 08:44 AM If it wasn’t for Stephan Moccio we would have no idea what was going on... I’m getting excited but I’ve been excited for the last couple of years haha This album can’t come soon enough. Although, with the new interest in Celine, this album does need to be top quality becuase I feel people are watching and waiting for this album more than her last few albums. Kev x 4 Quote
joaofilho Posted October 18, 2018 at 12:44 PM Posted October 18, 2018 at 12:44 PM Some will want to kill me here, but I do not know if I'm excited about Stephan Moccio's songs, I do not know, maybe she could go with other producers, the music may be good, but I do not know where that will lead to Céline. In 2002 was different, we are in 2018 do not know if it works. 1 Quote

I won't get my hopes so high yet, just because Stephan Moccio wrote ANDHC doesn't mean he will create something so good again. Diane Warren wrote BYLM but also Unfinished Songs. On the other hand Ashes songwriter is a new guy and the song is great, so we'll see. I think she is coming strong this time and have much on her favor if songs are good and the timing is right. Quote
mb011 Posted October 18, 2018 at 03:20 PM Posted October 18, 2018 at 03:20 PM A lot of talk about ANDHC here. Personally I only like the remix version of this song. And that is the version that is commercially known. I hope you guys are reffering to that version, when wishing something like that this time...The ballad version is pretty slow and boring for my taste... Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
jpatdeleon09 Posted October 18, 2018 at 03:49 PM Posted October 18, 2018 at 03:49 PM I really hope that the songs that were recorded are catchy. I think we will have a great album. They are working with past producers and songwriters. And i feel it will be better than LMBTL. I hope no covers but if they will do a cover at least make it sound like new.. like Alone 1 Quote

Nmj Posted October 18, 2018 at 04:53 PM Posted October 18, 2018 at 04:53 PM Well, same thing for Eg White who was/ is rumored to be part of the album, I can’t stand “ Didn’t Know Love” so my hopes of a good song (in my opinion) from him are super low. However I loved “A New Day Has Come” so my hopes for her working with Moccio is very high, that’s just my feelings. That’s not to say the album comes out and I LOVE the song from Eg White and don’t care for the Moccio song, nobody knows only time will tell! 2 Quote
