Even with Celine, I don’t believe a second Christmas album will be met with the near the same fanfare as her first. In fact, I don’t often hear much anticipation for anyone’s holiday albums anymore. How many more versions of these classic Christmas songs do we need? They’ve all been done. To death.

 

Well none of MC’s albums have been great in recent years... Despite good productions... Celine could still hit it and give justice to Christmas classics... with the right people behind her.

 

No diss to MC but her voice is nowhere near the same as it used to be.

 

I agree that Christmas classics have been done to death but as time goes on Christmas isn’t going anywhere... maybe the most stability we have in a year to be honest.... why not have her voice on more classics

Wow, this is exciting! They are recording a ton of songs with the best people! Seems like my dream of a bombastic comeback album is becoming reality this time! Let’s hope the songs will be legendary! Yeah not excited by foster either... He was great in the 90’s but I wish he was left there as far as Celine’s current career is concerned.

As much as these are BIG names in the industry and they mean hits and success everywhere, I don't want to give my hopes up at all, and I'm not excited this time because I was expecting much in 2013 and look what we got...

 

I'm cautious this time and I think it's best to be surprised.

 

Céline is kind of obsessed with getting all big names, big producers and collaborations with hot singers in the moment, but I think this is a mistake: you can do an album with unknown songwriters and producers and get amazing results (look the songs in EUS produced and written by those young guys, Florent Mothe, Silvio Lisbonne and Marc Dupré, they're the best ones. Or that unknown person who had never written a song in his life, and A la plus haute branche ended up being one of the best songs in the album and one of the most emotional songs performed during the whole 2016 show).

 

Looking constantly for the biggest names to get more hits can blind yourself and block the creative process, thinking you have the best material just because you have the biggest names with you, but that's not always a guarantee. So careful...

From my point of you, Encore un soir is her worst album ever, I didn't even think that one day I would say that from her french material. I would even add that I never heard an album with such a bad and cheap production EVER. The only good production is Encore un soir and A la plus haute branche. The other songs are a joke, she never had such a bad production in her whole carreer really.

 

I'm really concerned about this now, especially with Humberto.

She's been lacking production wise since ages ago, songs that are either too short when they should be longer and with bridges are made like "fast-food" music, lack of instruments too etc.

 

EUS isn't her best but I think it's better than San attendre.

 

Anyway what's the use of doing great songs, if she totally neglects and ignores and never performs THE BEST ONES in the album (ehem Attendre??? ehem Je nous veux???) :doh:

She didn't always have the best production but she never produced such a bad album, this is not even about the songs, but the production on Encore un soir is just not acceptable. Never heard that before really. At least the production on Sans attendre is clean, it is professionnal, not the best, not creative, but it is clean.

 

When I hear this album; I just tell to myself: What's the f ? The blend between the voice, layers, music etc... Is not even done properly, nothing to compare for example with LMBTL, which I don't necessary like but the production work is still rich and professionnal, known and intented to give to the voice this raw effect.

 

I don't care about big names and it tends usually to create frustration and disapointment. But at least those guys: Guetta Sia Moccio know how to produce.

We don’t know if this is from Celine session or not for sure. All we know is is Stephan Moccio posted it, but time will tell; they could be working on a track for another artist. But I agree high chance these two came together for Celine.

 

I believe the last song David Foster did for Celine was “ I surrender” which I loved too, hopefully he has a few more power ballads up his sleeve! ( I know he also worked on the “Miracle” album after, but I choose to not to include an album full of lullabies.

If the new English album is as good as EUS, I'd be more than happy! It's a wonderful album in my opinion.

Je nous veux is not that good., a generic song from Marc dupre, the same that he puts in his own albums. The lyrics are easy, Moi je viens de l'hiver et des filles du roi....please. How many times she said things like that.

 

But The words are saying things that are too far from reality like, she wants to live in a little house , out in the wild, Call me when that happens.

The production has changed in LBTL, we are so accustomed to seeing the mega productions of Celine's albums that the new songs are making me surprised how cheap the production sounds, but this seems to be a musical trend, I do not know, I do not understand , people seem to like the sound, as if it were a new wave.

 

This new album by Mariah, she released 3 songs, I can not listen to any of them, I thought it was bad, I hope that Celine's album does not come like this and does not look like LBTF.

 

As I have written and I repeat, she needs new composers and producers, to give you a new "sound" a new musical direction, a new style, to reinvent herself, she already had many good proposals, Cris Martin already wanted to record with she, I do not know why she refused, so many people make a good sound, that she needs that moment.

 

I hope they do not throw away the opportunity to record with David Guetta and release the song as a single, it would be a total waste.

The song LMBTL was offered to Rihanna first (a little while before it was offered to Céline), but she didn't want to record it.

But it was also [one of] the last song(s) recorded for the album.

As far as I want Céline to have a new sound, I fail to see how David Guetta can bring her this new sound.I mean a quality sound.

Where in this world would I be able to listen to their song in 20 years like it happens with her older albums.
