There are many reasons why an artist refuses a song. It's not necessary because of the bad quality.

I remember Céline refused collaboration with Coldplay back in 2005. I thought it could been interesting. If I can remember correctly, in an interview she gave an explanation that Coldplay was "too rock" for her. Or it was something that leaded to this conclusion. I mean... Coldplay too rock? Oh please... It's not a heavy metal band.

Launching a song with Coldplay was going to be a big boom, they are good, I do not believe in the story that they are very rock, sounds strange, in 2007 she released the TC with many songs in the rock style.

If they would collaborate and come out with a song in the vein of “Sky Full Of Stars” or “Hymn For The Weekend” it would be EPIC.

It’s the labels that usually get in the way of a collaboration. It’s not so simple as just go do a duet, each side has to agree on a number of things and unfortunately they make it all about money.

Oh yes. She who performed "You Shook Me All Night Long" in 2002 with Anastacia and confessed several times she's a big fan of AC/DC and "loves to rock&roll" :giggle:

The contradictory Céline never ceases to amaze me

"I've been stuck in traffic for 6 hours just to see Celine Dion." :giggle: (negative comment towards Celine ?)

Coldplay mentioned Celine in their song God Put A Smile Upon Your Face on a concert in L.A. 2006.

A duet would have been cool.

I’m telling you guys it’s the record label who has ALOT of say , in single choices, who and who she doesn’t collaborate with, which songs are chosen for albums, etc..

I get that in the past, she loved to stay loyal to SONY music, but come on enough is enough, they have been milking Celine all the way to the bank with a lack of a plan or any sort of promotion, they always use her name alone to try answering push everything. It’s time to move record companies, has been time for such a long time, everyone who was loyal to Celine and supported her like Tommy Mottaloa are gone now so it’s time to move on, she owes them nothing, she’s already made them money for 3 decades.

Sometimes it's just the name of the artist.

If RiRi recorded LMBTL it would be an instant hit no matter how it would sound.

But these days Céline her name isn't connected with the negativity it used to be.

So who knows what could happen now.

I didn't knew the Coldplay story, I know they are a fan of her right?

And Umbrella was rejected by Spears... We found love by Nicole S... etc... Where is the problem?

As far as I want Céline to have a new sound, I fail to see how David Guetta can bring her this new sound.I mean a quality sound.

Where in this world would I be able to listen to their song in 20 years like it happens with her older albums.

Wtf??? This just happened in Germany last Sunday. Anastacia made this collaboration with Alex Christensen, a German Dj and they released it on an album.

I’m totally impressed and shocked by this collab, I already loved Anastacia but guess who’s applying that “best is yet to come” mantra to her career?

Everyone thought she’s a “been” but little by little, step by step she’s resuscitating her career with great albums and songs again.

Same as Celine eh? Imagine THIS with Celine’s voice.

Huh? Celine? Where are you?????????

I absolutely LOVEF this!

There’s also another collaboration in the same album, the lead single “Another Night”

Btw, Alex Christensen is one year older than Celine!! :ninja:

The album features also ex Spice Girl Mel C.

I was waiting for this to come out forever. Saw a short clip of her recording “Mr.Vain” a few months ago. She sounds great on it. I’m not a fan of her rendition of “Another Night” though. Her voice has some weird filter on it and it does her no favors.

Yes Christensen is amazing. The Boat/Das Boot was big in 1992. The whole Eurodance hype (Snap (Rhythm is a Dancer), Culture Beat (Mr. Vain)..) shaped my teenage years at the early 90s.

Céline should get that train right NOW, the dance train. Otherwise we'll say that "ship has sailed" thing soon :whistling:

Are you kidding me??? We've waited 6 years. We've been waiting twelve years for TWO English albums, while we see her voice dry out in the desert.

These are no album songs of Anastacia (she released her last album last year), these are collaborations for another artist's album. BUT whereas some decide to fall asleep and release mostly nothing for consecutive years, others don't stop recording and releasing collaborations with other artists to keep their name fresh and prevailing in the industry     And they still tour in the meantime and have a family and such things...

If this will be the trend, she could just make a new addition of IACBTMN :sofunny:

Oldies but goldies...

Give me a remake of an epic 90s dance track in 2018 rather than an insipid cover of a Queen song with a lame production that added absolutely nothing to the original version :pinch:

Or before a Recovering -a song P!nk herself seems she would fall asleep recording it and wanted to get rid of asap-,

Or before a How Does A Moment Last Forever...

Or even before Ashes. Samey samey samey always with Céline, she never surprises always recording the same kind of songs.

Love the way some people think Céline would actually do what they want her to do, instead of accepting what Céline wanted/wants to do record/perform.. :pinch:

Love the way some people think Céline would actually do what they want her to do, instead of accepting what Céline wanted/wants to do record/perform.. :pinch:

That thought serves to many interpretations. At this point of her career, where she has done almost everything, please let me just *question* that, or put that thought with a question mark. Is it really what Celine wants to do? Does she really want to do anything with it at all? Or is she recording an album just because of contractual terms now? Maybe she's just recording albums because Sony asks for one

We know nothing about what she wants, because she doesn't say a word about what she wants to do since many interviews ago. And also because the countless times she changes her mind and contradicts herself. Please allow me to DOUBT it is just "what Céline wants" :innocent:

That said, let me add that there are many artists who don't hesitate to ask their fans what kind of music they want to hear them sing the next time they are writing/recording music. Like they ask them what songs they want to hear them perform while on tour (Anastacia is again another example of this, having an app specifically created for this). It's not a sin to ask. It's a sign of closeness with your public and your fans.

Céline may have done hundreds of meet&greets over her career, signed countless of autographs to her fans, but yet and incredibly, she has never asked them for feedback or opinion about a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. She's miles away from treating her fan base with the involvement and interaction that tons of artists already do out there.

So all in all, I really doubt, question and see with scepticism that argument of "accepting what Céline wants to do". I think she doesn't even know what she wants to do in music, in light of events :)

I guess it's the Trash Céline Day once again... :giggle:

No, it's the day of fans who see what other singers they also like are doing, and hope for another favourite artist -Celine- to do the same one day and also wonder what the f*** is that artist doing with an album that it's taking already more than TWO years in the making.

And this happens everyday, the other day was Cher and the new album she released. Tomorrow will be another singer. Since we've got absolutely no news from Céline and what we might expect, we talk and compare with others and what they're doing. It's only natural.

Can't we speak freely anymore here or what?

Live and let (Céline) live. The album will come out when it's ready. Enjoy life in the meantime and no need to stress out...

Céline is smart and has learned that life is more than just an album or a tour. Some need to learn from her. :-D

There’s no #celine in the david foster stephan Moccio instagram post/story.

It could have nothing to do with Celine’s new album.

But it’d be great if it was linked

My body is so starved for this new album. I've been listening to all of her upbeat songs lately trying to find new ways to hear them, lmao. :giggle: Come on, album! I wanna give her all the time she needs and I'd rather want to wait for what eventually becomes a good album, but come on already. Every time I get a tweet notification from Celine I immediately hope it's something about the album. I guess it's naive to think that any day the tweet will reveal the album cover, title and release date. It's really impossible to know how for along they are. Am I counting next gear in George R.R Martin years?

I hope once Vegas ends, and she's had some time off she'll get real excited and release her energy into making new albums instead of performing the same songs over and over. It's the perfect opportunity for that as well. However, I don't see it being very likely though.

We dont know if this is from Celine session or not for sure. All we know is is Stephan Moccio posted it, but time will tell; they could be working on a track for another artist. But I agree high chance these two came together for Celine.

I believe the last song David Foster did for Celine was I surrender which I loved too, hopefully he has a few more power ballads up his sleeve! ( I know he also worked on the Miracle album after, but I choose to not to include an album full of lullabies.

He produced if i can dream as well
