I really don’t care if the album is coherent or not. I don’t want to sacrifice good songs just because the album might turn out incoherent. If I don’t like a track, I will just skip it. That’s it. And I want to have every song from these sessions. We have been waiting for too long to sacrifice songs fot the sake of coherence. Moreover, if her team cares about coherence, certain songs that don’t quite fit can be released as bonus tracks. Simple as that. No need to hald back songs.

When Beyoncé released "by surprise" XO, Ryan Tedder (who penned the song) didn't even know the song would come out.

Well it really depends on what kind of album this will be....

 

People keep moaning here that the album should be coherent... if for example we're getting an album full of Dion ballads or a TC kind of album and then have a Guetta dance track on it, that wouldn't be very coherent would it?

 

 

But..... they should think outside of the box; if it doesn't fit the album, they could still record and release it as a one-off single.

 

exactly! And why not release the song apart from the album. It does get on youtube and spotify anyway and people do not buy cds anymore ( yes some people still do) so it does not matter! Put that dancetrack on spotify and youtube and you will see that will work. Ashes on the other hand, could still be a track on the new album i think. And i hope it is because I want that gorgeous masterpiece on a cd - not buying the deadpool soundtrack for just that song.

I like the latest collaboration between Sia and David Guetta "Flames". It's not really a dance track, it's rather synth-electro-pop (or however this style can be called). If they manage to make a song in style like that and adapt a bit for Céline (without exaggerating with synthetic sounds, cause I think Céline's vocals don't really need it), we could have a really nice and modern song for the new album. I don't think it could necessarily destroy the coherence of the album if they plan the production in carefully.

Maybe it's just a strategic move from David.

His song was rejected or at least he didn't hear anything from Céline's team so now his implied message is " the whole world has wanted to work with me and when I send a song Céline, she leaves me in the dark"

Because the whole point of working with a dj is he being the producer otherwise it doesn't make any sense.

 

So my guess is she hasn't recorded the song.

I agree, sounds like she accepted the song, but then he scaled back on saying anymore because he seemed nervous in giving anymore info about the song up... also for all we know this could be one of the three confirmed songs that Céline said Sia wrote for the upcoming album; at the time she may have just said Sia and not credited Guetta as well, so who knows time will tell!

Ok now I’m excited!

 

I love both Sia & David and as I mentioned on here a few times, I would love David to do a song for her or remix a song for her.

 

If it happens and it gets released as a single and ain’t top 10, then in my eyes she should either get a new record label or retire lol.

Excited for this news :clap: :wub: I am a big big fan of David and he's even one year older than Céline, if he can be a huge name and an absolute reference for the night music in clubs worldwide, why can't Céline being even younger than him??

 

If the track is big and well done, with clever lyrics, I don't see why this collaboration couldn't sound shortly on the clubs and see us dancing to it :blush:

Problem: if this one-off single charts big, they might decide to go in this whole new direction for the upcoming album.. and delay it to record all new songs! :w00t: :pinch: :giggle:

very good point! And I think it would be highly stupid to take Davids track but not to include him as the producer for it. His name alone would make this song popular. And remember what hype the Ashes remix did when they took that DJ on board and let him produce the remix (and IMO that remix wasn’t even that good). David must be featured as the producer, otherwise they will just play it safe again and the song will suck and lack power and greatness Edited by ryba
