Stop whining in every post. Last year there was no promotion at all for 'Sans Attendre' before its release. Heavy promo took place in November and especially December before Christmas. Edited November 7, 2013 at 05:54 AM by LukeD

The QVC predictions are included in the HDD estimates.

 

I still have faith that she might do a bit more, but still - underwhelmed doesn't do my current mood justice.

 

 

HDD does indeed include exclusive pre-sale figures like QVC, HSN into their predictions. As much as we think 13,000 is a great number, it's actually low. Personally I've seen 5 music specials on QVC by some great artists - Barbra, Whitney, David Foster, Rod Stewart - and they've all sold much more than 13,000 copies. I admit I was astonished by Celine's low figure as I thought it'd be higher.

I think whatever the final sales number comes in for U.S. this album is NOT a flop in any shape of way. The social media has been responding very well - a lot of young (closeted) fans are listening to this new album. I remember in QVC's interview, Celine said: I don't know if my fans will like it, they may or may not. It's true! Some ppl love it, some ppl, maybe not so much (even hate it) - this is an awesome feedback for a POP album. I'm a bit afraid that either everybody will love it or hate it! That would've been mediocre. I personally don't think Celine should have another album pleasing everybody and anybody. This the 2010s, I'm also not expecting her to hit 500K+ first week (would be great though) - so even in the long run it doesn't hit platinum in the States (which I think it will obviously), it'll be just one of those albums that ppl will remember in 10 years...

I think we are panicking too much and putting to much in just the US. Celjne is a world wide artist and will debut high everywhere, Cher and Elton John released albums recently and although debuted well in the US and UK they hardly hit even the Top 10 in (MOST) other countries it was released.

 

Another point take Sans Attendre it had one of its biggest sales week in Week 7 with over 140,000 copies in France alone. This is going to be a build up album and as we moved into Xmas it will do well, anyway while some of you think 80k is bad I don't, if it debuts at number 2 it will be one of the best selling number 2's in a long while in The US

you know folks, we might not get too many more chances to manically follow a new album release from Celine, especially one where she is experimenting with new and more modern material. She's 45, and the media are already jumping all over her age as if she's ready to retire. Let's enjoy every moment of this! She's been all over the television with appearances and interviews, performances. Even though there is no video for LMBTL which is a huge mistake, I have to say she did really go above and beyond to extend herself and get out there for the public. And she did it flawlessly, looking hot and perfectly put together, great makeup, hair and outfits and also being hilarious- making us all fall in love with her all over again. She is magic
