There were backing tracks of Celine from the original CD recording that she was supposed to sing "with," but she just forgot the order of the adlibs. This is not the same as lipping - it's actually the only way you can do the last part of that song live. The vast majority of the song was a fresh, live rendition....this is one of those rare cases where the argument "Celine doesn't lip, she's just such a perfectionist that she always sounds like the CD version" actually applies. Not a bad option but I think using the 2010 track would have made the performance look more realistic. Anyway, I think the performance of IDAN was probably the one that Celine showed more energy and enthusiasm. It was great, probably one of the greatest moments from the whole show. I can't read anymore that everyone who is not DEAF or BLIND is unsupportive... Give me a break! I'm a fan for half of my life, and as some said, YES it gives me the RIGHT to say everything I want about it. To be a fan you don't have to be FANATIC. It's two different things. We can SEE and HEAR the woman is lipping. And we do care! When the midia destroys Britney Spears por her lipping, I think "Gosh, she's a performer, not a singer! Let her move her hips and pretend and that's ok!" And she does it (not as good as in the past, but she does it). Celine doesn't ever bother to make some moves on THLAL. Just the booty thing in the end. Diana was singing live, how disrespectful was that? And it's not the first time. Every single performance of "I believe in you" with Il Divo was lipped. Peolpe said that they don't care if she lipped some songs but not almost the entire concert. I DO! I was about to go see her in Jamaica, for the first time in my life. Would spent a HELL LOT OF MONEY, that I couldn't affort (that's why I didn't made it), to see her lipping? That's why I'm having second thoughs about going to Vegas. Yes, we want to see the classic songs, but we want to see her SINGING it... I am a fan, and I do love Celine as I always did. But I am disapointed. And for a long time. Everytime I brought that subject up, everybody attacked me, saying that TRUE FANS SUPPORT THEIR IDOLS. That's just ridiculous. I AM SUPPORTING HER. I don't want to see her at the magazines or tv shows beeing called a FAKE SINGER. And that's what's she's doing: FAKING IT. Some said that she is doing her job the easier way. That's true. She lipps, "no one" cares and she kept doing it. OK for regular people, not for fans. I don't want to see her saying the same speech night after night and turn it just laughable. Where are her emotions on A new day... speeches? Or even TCWT... It's ok to have a routine, but repeat every single word is ridiculous... And robotic. Talking about emotions, people were saying that she wasn't ever nervous about this concert. That I don't agree. She was nervous. But her only fear lately is if the backing taping will roll ok. Do you wanna know what hurts me the most in all this episode? I drove all night video. She started lipping and asks for the sound engineer to raise her microphone. That was just unbelievable... It is not like it was the first time she flashed the audience and at least she had something on under there (well I hope ). They actually missed the the thing that could have caused a real scandal. There are plenty of singers who have been lip-syncing for years such as Cher, Sarah Brightman, Beyonce, Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey and they have never been exposed by the medias so I don't see why suddenly they would decide to ''choose'' Celine and expose her. It just doesn't make sense especially if we consider the fact that the biggest part of the songs in her concerts are sung LIVE. This is true, however, I honestly could see Chelsea Handler or maybe Joel McHale from 'The Soup' bring this issue to light. It's normally shows like this where I see this type of stuff being talked about. Stuff that is NOT front page news, but something quick to talk about... these type of shows like to embarrass celebrities.
