you guys recon the sales were so high for this album because there was a worldwide fanbase importing this release hahaha lol i really wonder how many copies were brought from outside france and canada? i bet the overseas sales were huge!

No, it's a copyright issue. Which is weird as the videos are available to purchase on iTunes as they are where the YouTube clips are available.

 

In the case of a video you want to upload and you don't own the copyright I understand why it may be blocked, but I don't know how those copyrights for companies work, as Sony Music has affiliates all over the world, yet some content is blocked in some countries.

 

My guess is that it works the same as any published material. Sans Attendre was released in many countries, yet the US Sony hasn't acquired the license to produce it and distribute, therefore it may only be purchased as an import.

But we can't even get the french music videos on iTunes most of the time. The only one available to us from SA is QPVSA? And overall we only have access to QPVSA?, ESNRQ, PQTME, LEE, DMQS, and Incognito on the US iTunes

Yes, that's something I'd like for them to explain how it works. I remember once I called a TV station in my country asking why they had played Tout L'or Des Hommes and why they wouldn't play any other French music video, and they told me it was the record company who made the video available for them, and they could not get permission for the other videos, even if they had them.

Tant de temps is really my favorite, i want a whole album of that kind of music.....nostalgic, soothing, could be prescribe for anxiety or insomnia...

The only time I listen to that song is when I can't sleep and play a playlist of her music that is like that (predominantly the Miracle album, but including Lullaby, Ne me quitte pas, O Holy Night, ect). Otherwise I skip Tant de temps every single time practically. Its a good song just not one I can listen to often

It took some time to grow on me, but Tant de temps is one of my favorites on the album.

I LOVE #6 (Une chance qu'on s'a). The lyrics are so perfect, I"m planning to use it at my wedding. That said, a friend of mine listened to the track and she and her husband were both afraid that JPF might die right then and there during the recording session. Perhaps he's past his vocal prime...

All in all, even though there are songs I skip from this or other albums, it's nice to sit down, relax, play the album and listen to it from top to bottom... I find myself humming or singing songs I don't really like sometimes!
