I agree it's an amazing song, but I don't think the fact that it might have a special significance for her can have something to do with the fact that it was released as a single back in the day; that is more of a commercial decission mainly taken by Sony. Boy Posted May 5, 2013 at 09:01 PM Posted May 5, 2013 at 09:01 PM Yes, I wish I could count the plays on all devices, so they'd add up in the hundreds. How many times have I played a Celine Dion song in my life? That I'd love to know exactly. I had the same thoughts the other day! Wish I could count how many times I played a Celine Dion song I listen to 'Qui peut vivre sans amour' and 'Si je n'ai rien de toi' every day... Ever since the album was released. Which makes thousands of times probably 1 Quote Love comes to those who believe it...

Peppercorn1991 Posted May 9, 2013 at 09:01 PM Posted May 9, 2013 at 09:01 PM Does it say, you get your very own album which is diamond so the disc will be a different colour and they put you own name on the album? That's cool if that's what it mean, plus a trip to Vegas! You French fans are lucky we never get any contests in the uk Kev x Quote

LuisMa Posted May 10, 2013 at 04:58 PM Posted May 10, 2013 at 04:58 PM Looks nice! Too bad their creativity is super limited. Even by adding an additional new song, of many they might have in their vaults, they'd have made this an item much more worth buying. Quote

Javito Posted May 10, 2013 at 10:17 PM Posted May 10, 2013 at 10:17 PM (edited) The artwork hasn't grown on me at all. Such a shame that such a marvelous album has the ugliest artwork in all of her career, What is a shame is that this represents the first album in her whole career that is re released only 6 months after its original release date, due to its success, and all what Sony Music can do is to include a notebook instead of calendar. Not the smallest change in the artwork, not even a photo of Céline of that photoshoot of which they made such noise and that "she loved so much" I guess that is the best Sony can do for the biggest female selling artist of all time. But of course, this happens because Céline and René want. They won't ever move a finger to change anything... Edited May 10, 2013 at 10:25 PM by Javito Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

But of course, this happens because Céline and René want. They won't ever move a finger to change anything... I agree with you mostly and I agree with your entire post except the highlighted part. Unfortunately, she is NOT the biggest selling female artist of all time. Sony can do all the bull crap advertising that but every sane chart fanatic knows that this is not true. Anyway, I'm really surprised that they didn't include any bonus tracks or even the 'Making Of' with this re-release considering they have both of those ready. I reckon Sony's gonna milk the cash cow more during the concerts time with another re-re-release. Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted May 11, 2013 at 12:46 AM Posted May 11, 2013 at 12:46 AM (edited) I don't understand why people are surprised that there are no bonus tracks included. They have never in her history done a new edition of any of her French albums with a new bonus track added. It's been very rare in her anglo career (eg: the 2 bonus tracks included on the ANDHC special edition...and then there's the D'eux special edition, but that was several years later.) People expect things that will probably never happen. As they say, wish in one hand and s*** in the other. Then see which one fills up first. Truth be told, the calendar was an idiot idea. Why create something that was soon to expire? Edited May 11, 2013 at 12:47 AM by Alex_Incognito 1 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990

You right but for a re-edition they could have dare something else like ONCP longbox and add a dvd with unseen interview. I thought the big point of major compagnies to make people buy CDs and not only download music was to create great packaging !! 2 Quote

zuv Posted May 11, 2013 at 06:34 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 06:34 PM (edited) the good thing about Celine not selling out her concert on les Plaines d'Abraham (tickets still available section C, D E) is that she might have to do more promotion, more appearences, more interviews, more singles maybe? By the way, was listening to the radio between 10 and 11:30 last night. I kept pushing the "scan" button in my car and I heard "Qui peut Vivre Sans Amour?" twice within an hour and half. Pretty good, huh? Edited May 11, 2013 at 06:37 PM by zuv 1 Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted May 11, 2013 at 06:51 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 06:51 PM I think they learned that they shouldn't try to recreate Sur les Plaines. Once was enough. She should have done 4 or 5 concerts at the Centre Bell, but I suppose one concert with everyone is easier than doing several. Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
zuv Posted May 11, 2013 at 07:33 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 07:33 PM Well Paul McCartney is repeating again... he will be on les plaines 5 days before Celine... Its kind of annoying... Cause people were comparing Celine with Paul back in 2008, "Is she going do do as well as Paul?" and now the same question will apply, it feels like they are in some sort of competition. Quote

québecflower Posted May 12, 2013 at 03:20 AM Posted May 12, 2013 at 03:20 AM the guy who conducted the orchestra for Sur les plaines, Scott Price, is great.
